As a former nail tech, and salon owner I would honestly say I can't recommend JJ Nail Club. I called prior to my visit to ask if all tools are sanitized between clients, and was told "it's required by law". I'm aware of this, but see all too often that lazy technicians ignore this requirement. My concerns were warranted, as my tech rinsed the heel pumice tool in the pedi tub, wiped on a dirty towel and put back into her tool box without any sanitation following the use on m...y feet. Her other tools were tossed into a plastic box without any cleaning whatsoever, and returned to her toolbox, ready (but not properly sanitized) for her next customer. Clenliness aside, I asked for the service that included a 15 minute massage with warm oil, followed by hot towel wrap. What I got was warm hand cream, rubbed lightly, for 5 minutes, followed by 2 nasty towels, run under hot water and wrung into pedi bath, laid across my legs and used to remove excess cream. Needless to say, my customer experience was lackluster from start to finish, so I will keep looking for a quality pedicure salon in our area. My rating of "2" was generous. Had I been an inspector from the State Board of Cosmetology they'd have had a fine to go with the poor rating. PS. I promptly applied an antibiotic cream to my feet upon returning home.
