I am torn. I like how they did my nails but the place was over booked and crowded. I spent 2 hours there and was bounced around between 3 people. Then, it took the 3rd person who finished my nails to get the shape right. In the end, another customer, who seen me earlier was shocked to see that I was still there by the time she sat down for her appointment. They tried to make it up by giving me a discount on my nails and giving me a free hand and arm massage. Went to get my toes done and bring ur own flip fops because they dont dry your toes. They will send you out of the shop with wet toe nails polish and try and sell you flip fops for different prices. So I was a usual at this place for about a year. I go in and ask for a full set which is fine up until she puts the polish on and I asked for clear pink but my real nail was easily visible because she used a clear fake nail to glue on. So I asked her if they changed things because I had got the same style before and it didn't look like this and I said it was supposed to be white underneath and continues to make a hideous French tip design on my nail. I tell her I don't like it and she tries to blame it on me and then decides to talk mess about me in Korean and I could easily tell it was about me. So I have no idea how this nail salon has such high ratings. When I first entered and was greeted by Julie (manager/owner?). I explained I simply wanted a soak off of my acrylic overlay & get a brand new overlay (full set) on my long, but natural nails. She was argumentative and insisted it was a bad idea to ever get acrylic taken off on long nails and strongly suggested I get a "fill". I refused and asked if she'd provide the service. She agreed and sent me over to Lily, instead of doing it herself. Now Lily, didn't use what I thought were the correct tools for filing and evening the nail and nail bed, which left my nail beds sore. Plus, her process isn't as efficient as other nail technicians. I am left with dry acrylic on my cuticles. However, she was extremely patient with me by letting me be specific about corrections & she asked along the way if her work was okay. All in all, for the price I was charged for a soak-off and new acrylic ($30)...I'd say the service was mediocre. And the manager's customer service was unprofessional. Two days and my nails are chipped, I called and they told me to come in and get the ones that are chipped redone, went in and waited 30 minutes and they never got to me , they keep saying 5 minutes we get to you in 5 minutes!! I will take my business elsewhere!!!! Read Less

Went there for acrylics. My nails turned out crooked, a little lumpy & the thickness is uneven. The color of their sample nails are off by 2-3 shades, I'd pick a grey & it'd show up bright purple or a beige would show up peach. The person I had was extremely rough when filing, she made my skin very raw & sore. She also told me I had to use gel polish for acrylics & charged an additional $10 for it, plus she did a horrible job at applying it, the top coat didn't cover all the way so I have discoloration on my nails & it's only been a couple days! I used to love this place. I was even referred by someone. As time passed I found that the product used on nails was not as good as before. My nails would crack and gel polish wouldn't last long. Also I do have to say they are to rough when working on nails. I got cut three times by a file. Hope the owner reads this and makes adjustments. i don't think i'll ever come back here after my experience today.i made an appointment with julie at 3:30, but i didn't get started on until later. she told me she was almost done, but that turned into 30 minutes. when she first said that, she asked if i wanted a pedicure too. i said "uh..." and she immediately told me to take a seat at the pedicure seats. i told her i just came for a full set. if she was almost done with her other customer, why would i get a pedicure?julie was super nice and welcoming but i did not get what i wanted. after putting on the acrylics, she cut them immediately not even asking me what length i want them to be. they were a little long, she described them as medium and i asked if i could have them shorter. she cut it a little bit yet she said she will do medium so it's "pretty." i picked my color which was a glittery pink. she then stood up and grabbed a blue glitter and in my mind i was afraid that would be for me. she said she will put it on one nail and "make it pretty," i wasn't gonna refuse it. then she began to put it on another nail. i was already getting angry inside but i couldn't really say anything. then she put it on two more nails on the other hand.after everything, the total came to $40. i spent almost $50 (bc tip) on nails that i was not happy with. my nails are way too long, a couple are uneven, and i have four odd colors on my fingers. she probably didn't want me to have my nails short so that i could spend more money.after this visit, i do NOT plan on returning here again. i normally go to julie's nails on tenant in pinole, but they were busy and i forgot to make an appointment. but i will definitely not come back here. I was a walk in on a Friday, figured they would be busy but I called before hand and they told me they could do a Gel Manicure. The nail technician rushed through the entire process and didn't have a conversation at all. Most of my nails were cut crooked and I had to make her even them out. Made a appointment prior and still sitting here waiting for my appointment an hour later.This place does a decent job with gel sets but I refuse to be left alone in the middle of my set so the technician can go fix someone else's nails at the same time and leave me hanging for 20 minutes.Truly unprofessional and rude never coming back.Please be considerate to other people time. This review is for Nancy ! Me and my mother in law have been coming to this salon for over a year, and we have had both good and Bad experiences, in the beginning the wait times where horrible, costumer service was not good at all, very pushy as to what THEY wanted to do with my nails. I usually get full set and Gel I like my nails to be one size smaller and coffin shape but when ever I ask for one size smaller i find my self arguing and Un happy and not satisfied at all. Until they told Nancy to do my nails. Nancy is amazing she listens to what you want and can Copy Any picture you show her after a while when she would tell me I KNOW I KNOW she actrually really did know lol she was so funny and friendly and I loved letting her do my nails I really trusted her I've had my nails done by a lot of people at Luxury but NANCY has to be the best  I went in for my appointment with Nancy recently for my brother in laws wedding just to find out She's not working there anymore. I am so sad. They won't even tell me what happened to her 1st the owner said she moved than she said she had an emergency than she said she quit or she fired her so being desperate I let someone else do my nails and again I found my self arguing and UN happy the other people who work there are very Stubborn! I LOVE my nails! I am incredibly happy after my visit with Tee and Julie at Luxury! They took me in not even 30 minutes after I called for an appointment for a full set. Tee did a beautiful job on my full set. I didn't want any color, and I brought some stickers I ordered from Amazon a while back. She went above and beyond and did my nails exactly how I wanted them done. She was a great conversationalist too. Julie (Tee's sister) was very sweet too. Hard to find a good nail shop open on Sundays but this one was open. The price was competitive. I got a classic French tip - gel manicure. The tech I had, Nancy, was friendly and a perfectionist so I was very happy! Some of the other girls, not so much. Mimi is amazing always does an amazing job on my nails!!! Party nails is so fun! Lots of humor and good laughs. Very personable! Their chairs are amazing! They even have USB ports on the chair which is so convenient cause my phone is always dying during my appointments at other establishments. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND visiting them!
