Extremely rude management ! This salon is the worst Of all Bellacures salons, dirty, old nail polishes and terrible customer service. I was a client for a 3 years , just because the salon is close to my house. One day I was late for my appointment and was refused in service , even though the salon was completely empty. Also the front desk person who was chatting with her friend was very rude , was making fun of me , offering to do my mails herself and laughing ! I used to go to Bellacures in Pasadena before I moved to Seattle in 2014. It was really nice then and worth the high price. The staff would offer you water or hot tea, and the big comfy chairs were really nice. I'm back in LA now and needed a mani/pedi, so I made an appointment. I was shocked to see how the place has deteriorated. The chairs are stained and nasty looking; the vinyl was peeling on the little rolling seats that the manicurists sit on; no offer of water or tea; the Keurig had a sign on it that said "broken." And yet, the prices are just as high as ever. Well, the place was empty, so I guess other people have caught on. Too bad. I went today for the first time and I was so pleased with my services. I got a regular mani with Kevin and a Moisture pedi + callus remover with Mimi.  They both did a great job.  Kevin did such an awesome job with my hand massage I asked for a 10 minute shoulder massage as well at  $1/min. WORTH EVERY PENNY.  They have WINE too. I wasn't able to enjoy the wine this time, but next time I will for sure. LOVE THIS PLACE! I have been going to O&J but decided to change it up. Bellacures is AMAZING. Their seats are big and comfy, and Kevin is the best! I got the Soft Soles pedi and he did such an amazing job... best pedi massage I've ever had! My gel mani was equally amazing, and great quality! No bumps, just smooth and beautiful! I just had a gel mani pedi with Su at  Bellacures. I have to say that I will actually wait until I get back in town to see her because she takes such care with my well-being and with the way the end job looks. I have severe arthritis. She is extremely gentle when I am having a day with more than the usual amount of pain like today. I actually felt better by the time I left. She also makes sure to  separate the toes that I can't making sure every toe, even toes that overlap, are shaped and coated perfectly. She is very popular. Make an appointment, so you can get the best. ***My only disappointment with Bellacures today is with the amount of packaging waste they are using now for lotions etc. This is the company and does not have any reflection on Su's excellent work. The lotions used to be in a bottle in their kit and now they have a package for your manicure and your pedicure. It is environmentally unsound. Less waste products please Bellacures. And please clean the chairs. As crippled as I am, I love that I don't have to climb into one of those pedicure chairs when I come here, but they are getting pretty shabby at the Pasadena location and need to be cleaned up. Well, this place is overpriced and  extremely overrated. Those big fluffy chairs that you see in the pictures, had stains on them. Disgusting! Plus:1) great ambience, and i like the natural light through the windows, and the building has good ventilation, it doesnt reek of acetone.2) always friendly front desk3) superior nail techs4) comfy chairs5) they have essie nail polish that quick dries like a gel and lasts longer.   Important to me as i wash my hands and handle alcohol wipes all day.  Minus:1)  the sofas are dirty... or they look dirty.  I go every week and they always look dirty.  I dont want to sink my body into a dirty-looking comfy sofa on my day off while getting my mani.2)  i always trip on this plug thing that comes out of the ground when heading toward the polish.In regards to the person that said they dont have a large nail polish selection... they do... the shelving swivels so theres more on the other side. Short Review:Nice space. Somewhat clean - they put liners in the water pans for your feet which is good, but the chairs are beige so they show all the dirt. A little pricey for the whole experience, though. And not a wide selection of colors. Long Review:I needed to try a new nail place because the one I had been going to was really falling behind in terms of service. I was also looking for a higher-end salon/spa type place. Olive & June here in town always seems to be booked, the photos of this place on Yelp made it look promising, so I called to see if they could take me the same afternoon. Turns out they could!When I got there, the place looked really nice - very spacious and modern. No spa chairs, TVs, or nail bars. Just a bunch of big, plushy chairs for someone to bring you everything you need. I was greeted by a nice woman who was doubling as a hostess and manicurist. She invited me to choose a color, and when I walked over to the cabinet, I was really not impressed with the selection at all! My normal nail place - for all its recent service issues - has a plethora of good, hip, fun colors to choose from. These were basic and frumpy. :(Next, I was seated in a plushy chair, and shortly another woman came over with a pan of warm water for me. She didn't introduce herself or anything, but she did smile. So, I proceeded to take out my laptop and work. We didn't talk, except for me to answer questions like "do you want your toes cut?" and "do you want callous treatment?" $13 extra to remove my callouses, when I can rub up against a rock and get the same outcome? Fagettaboutit!After my very simple and soft leg massage, she painted me up and then sprayed my toes with a quick-dry mist I assume. Anyway, I sat there, and wrote this review while I waited from them to dry. Will I come back? Well, for a $25 basic pedicure, with no water or soft drinks (or, hell, even wine!) offered, and with all the staff walking by without smiles or customer acknowledgement to make the place fun and have better ambiance, probably not. ...still on my quest for a fun, upscale nail place. I've been to Bellacures twice and both times have been pleasant. I like that they have individual tools to make getting your nails done more hygienic. They do not have massage chairs but the seats they have are very comfortable. They are pricier than most nail salons as they are located in Old Town Pasadena. However, I am willing to pay a fair price if it means quality results.For a basic pedicure, the cost was $25. They have a variety of nail polish brands, with my favorites being OPI and Essie brands. The technician I had was I believe Kevin. He did a good job on my pedicure. You can make appointments online which is very convenient. Parking is available in the parking garage on Green Street, where the first 90 minutes is free. Overall, this is one of nail salons I go to. Definitely try this place out! Read Less

This place is my favorite place to get a pedicure and a manicure. It is located in this little alley in south Pasadena on Colorado Blvd. I have probably had a pedicure from every manicurist here and I've had a great experience. The really know how to clean and scrub off those calluses lol ! The place is really cute and CLEAN which is really important to me. They offer many services besides nail services like waxing etc. The girls in the front are very nice and attentive and remember who you are if you've gone there before. It's just a very welcoming place, and I love the experience that I get here. The prices are a bit up there but you are paying for the quality and the experience. To me, it's worth it. Incredibly mediocre. I came here in early December with a couple of friends for a fun GNO treat. I got a basic manicure which started chipping two days later. The nail polish was applied really unevenly. I didn't like the way my manicurist shaped my nails either, and she didn't even ask how I wanted them. A different girl gave me a salt scrub pedicure. A bit better but not much. Better shape, but still uneven application with large gaps between the polish and my cuticles. The receptionist is super nice and friendly but the rest of the staff just walks around like they don't care. It's kind of depressing. That's probably why it's so empty in there all the time. I've been looking for a new nail salon in Pasadena so I've been coming here the past few months. Not sure why I keep returning since it's expensive for the quality of service that is not consistent at all. It's all a crapshoot on whether you'll get someone great or have nails that look like a child polished them. That's besides the point, though. I recently spent $50 (!!!) on a gel mani for a wedding (I was part of the bridal party and needed my manicure to last for pictures). I know $50 is expensive but was splurging for the wedding. 6 days later, on the day of the wedding, the gel started peeling at the cuticle. I had to use clear nail polish to keep it from lifting and peeling off completely for the wedding and photos. By Sunday (7 days later) it eventually peeled anyway. I went to see what my options were under their 10 day gel guarantee. I also wanted to show them how bad the gel was peeling. When I arrived, I was told that they only redo chipped or peeled gel nails - but don't offer refunds under the guarantee. The lady wanted me to sit down and have them fixed right then (by the same manicurist). I told her I didn't need them fixed or redone because the whole point in getting gel was to have polished nails for the wedding, which had already passed, and that it was more than just one nail to fix since they were all peeling. I also didn't have time to sit for an entire gel manicure redo right then. When I asked if I could get a credit for just a regular mani (not even an equivalent gel mani) in the future or something else, I was told that they couldn't do that either. What a waste of time and money. I won't be back!Update: Thanks for the reply. I don't need another gel manicure, because the event I needed the manicure to last for has already passed. I understand it's company policy regarding the 10 day gel guarantee not to offer refunds or store credits. As such, I am choosing not to spend my money here anymore. Thank you. Read Less

It's partially my fault that I didn't check the quality until i paid and was ready to leave the salon. I don't come around this area often and the reviews were great here. The quality that I got is definitely not worth the price I paid. The store is super bright airy and pretty. The people are nice, but the manicure I got was not good. The left hand was alright but the right hand, you can see in my attached photo, it was not filled very well. Also they do a very thick layer gel and there's air bubbles. (I may be too picky for my nails but I've gotten awesome nails multiple of times)  I'm thinking in a week or so, my hair will start getting stuck in the gel. Not happy with my manicure.
