First of all my toe got infected due to the lack of cleaning of the tubs. After i was hoping the infection would clear up so i wouldnt have to complain. But after it spreading down my toe i made a phone call to the salon! The owner was rude and said i never payed for my service! And tried to tell me i got it from somewhere else because they are clean establishment! Never acknowledge they did this .Well its been almost a month and now i have to have a procedure on my toe because this place and lack of cleaning! I don’t recommend this place to anyone

This is what my nails looked like after my manicure. My nails needed to be trimmed but were long enough that they did not need to be cut to the quick like this. (The first nail was cut too short so I figured I would have to live with them all being short, but the rest were even shorter than the first.) I came in around 5pm so there should have been plenty of time, but they mostly seemed interested in closing shop early. More to be said, but I'll stop there.

Excellent excellent little salon! I have been going to Alan Scott exclusively for over 3 years for monthly men's cut/styling, and his work has never failed to impress. He's able to read into what you have in mind, and deliver that look perfectly every time (length, shagginess, cut-in, layering, volume control, whatever). Plus, the prices are very reasonable for Palo Alto. They of course also offer the entire range of salon/spa services (waxing, mani/pedi, coloring, etc. etc). Add the convenient location on University Ave., and its altogether a definite A+ recommend for anyone close to the downtown Palo Alto area.

I had my hair cut by this wonderful women who gave me a head & neck massage after she washed my hair and that was a first for me. I felt sooo relaxed that I was able to just close my eyes and not even have to open them till she was done, and when I opened my eyes I looked FABULOUS! she is my new stylist :) I had a great experience and recommend this salon. They also do mani & pedis.

My new go-to place for haircuts. Tracy ("Advanced" stylist) is thorough, friendly and reliable. SimplyBe also accepts appointments by email, unlike many other places, which is a big plus for me.

My go to pedi place on the Peninsula. I've had manis done too. Staff is nice, salon is clean, prices are reasonable. They even accommodated my wedding guests and made it a fun experience.

First of all my toe got infected due to the lack of cleaning of the tubs. After i was hoping the infection would clear up so i wouldnt have to complain. But after it spreading down my toe i made a phone call to the salon! The owner was rude and said i never payed for my service! This is what my nails looked like after my manicure. My nails needed to be trimmed but were long enough that they did not need to be cut to the quick like this. (The first nail was cut too short so I figured I would have to live with them all being short, but the rest were even shorter than the first.) I came in around 5pm so there should have been plenty of time, but they mostly seemed interested in closing shop early. More to be said, but I'll stop there.

Excellent excellent little salon! I have been going to Alan Scott exclusively for over 3 years for monthly men's cut/styling, and his work has never failed to impress. He's able to read into what you have in mind, and deliver that look perfectly every time (length, shagginess, cut-in, layering, volume control, whatever). Plus, the prices are very reasonable for Palo Alto. They of course also offer the entire range of salon/spa services (waxing, mani/pedi, coloring, etc. etc). Add the convenient location on University Ave., and its altogether a definite A+ recommend for anyone close to the downtown Palo Alto area.
