Finally, I found my nail salon! Kathy does an excellent job with gel nails. She makes sure you like the way they look and she does a nice thin coat of gel. My nails look incredible and natural! Usually when I request my half moon design I have to explain it to the nail tech, not Kathy, I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she made it happen. They were able to see us all with 15 minute notice. We all got different services: gel and regular manicures and pedicures. They had a large color selection. The space was clean and organized. I made an appointment here on short notice and they were able to accommodate me. The person who did my nails was very nice but the execution fell short. It was a $30 gel manicure. It was applied very thick and many of the edges were sloppy, so it started chipping on 2 fingers 3 days later. I get gel so that it lasts longer and this was just super disappointing.  I got another $30 gel manicure somewhere else 5 days ago and it was so much better and hasn't shown any signs of wear. I don't recommend this place for a gel manicure. They were extremely friendly and got me in on a Saturday, very quickly, which I appreciated. The shape of my nails is okay. But the gel brand (DND) was very runny and the nail tech kept having to use polish remover and a brush to clean up the polish that dripped/spread. The constant polish remover on my cuticles completely dried them out, so even if they were trimmed sufficiently before polish was applied, my nails still look like a mess. The tech also used the gel polish all the way down to the cuticle, which means the polish would peel as soon as my nails grow out a bit. And it did! It has been five days and my nails are chipped. Ugh.... There also wasn't a crisp finish on the sides, which is what I look for in nails. Pretty strong chemical scent in the salon, as well. Read Less

We had an amazing experience here for a girls day with my daughter and granddaughter before the daughter's wedding in Joshua Tree tomorrow. The staff were friendly and on it. We felt pampered and happy when we left. And got a great recommendation for lunch. Highly recommend. Read Less

My girlfriend and I walked in on a Coachella weekend without a reservation. Steve, Tony and Tu did an admirable job fitting us in between appointments and completing two sorely needed pedicures and a manicure. The spa was clean and hygienic. Only Steve speaks English well but the two technicians were adorable, kind and skilled and everyone in the salon quickly became friends - even the two young women from Brooklyn and the Bronx.  We were having a great time. Tony was a physician in Vietnam - it's incredible to think a trained MD is now filing nails and polishing toes in Palm Springs - but the desire for a better life in America is powerful. Excellent massage chairs, new OPI colors and walls of cool gel polish to choose from.  Right on Palm Canyon downtown. When you go, take Steve a Greek salad with chicken and tip well. Great service, clean salon. They did an amazing job on my nails, for a decent price. I love the color I got. I went in for a fill (acrylic) and gel paint, was seated right away and got out in the hour. The color choices were vast so it took me a while to make up my mind but I don't think I would have been disappointed by any. You do have to park on the street as far as I know but it is not in the heart of downtown so there is less traffic. However it is still close enough to the action so that you can make a quick stop to get your nails done, and walk to get a coffee from Starbucks or the bean, or a bite to eat at the Thai place or La Bonitas, and still make it to happy hour at Bar. All in the same free parking spot on the street.I will definitely be going back! Read Less

But not only is it closed and locked no one answers the phone but there is voicemail. I truly understand closing if this is a slow but you should at least answer the phone if you are displaying business hours until 6 p.m. Read Less

Awesome work by Tu! My boyfriend's daughter and I tried out this salon today. We both got gel manicures. They are the best I have ever had done. I brought a picture of nail art I liked and Tu made my nails even cuter than the picture! I can't wait to go again in a few weeks for another cute manicure! Thanks for the great job Tu! My gel manicure was $40 for two different designs done on my nails. My boyfriend's daughter got simple lilac nails with no design for $30. Do not come here! First of all the owner was rude and made fun of my sisters toes which wasn't funny! My manicure looked horrible they had someone redo it . The guy pinched my skin so bad I jumped & the other tech says ooo in grown nail ..... I said I do not have an in grown he hurt me! They had no one to do acrylics & told us to go to their other store behind Walmart. Their prices are just insanely ridiculous for the quality! Terrible service. Where do I begin! First, my boyfriend and I come in and the nail tech tells me to choose a color for a manicure, so far so good. Then I noticed how the male nail tech was really speeding through the manicure, cutting my cuticles way too fast and then literally gave a ONE MINUTE hand massage that was so pathetic. Never massaged my forearms or anything! The application was so sloppy and I had paint all over my fingers. My boyfriends got a manicure as well and the lady literally cut two of his fingers BLEEDING !!!!! These people are terrible and unfit for doing nails. The girl gave my boyfriend a thorough massage, and I said hey the other guy didn't give me one. She said I was lying and that he did. Like SERIOUSLY!? I cannot believe they are in business. This nail salon surpassed my expectations and I was truly impressed by their excellent skills, customer service and friendliness!! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!! The salon is extremely clean and neat with excellent color choices and nail service packages. Kathy is so sweet and Steve is seriously awesome!! I'm glad I found this shop. I just had the best mani/pedi of my life at Califantasy Nails on Palm Canyon in Downtown #PalmSprings. They have this spa experience for your feet called Jelly Pedi.  Basically, you soak your feet in this aromatic gel that soothes, hydrates and exfoliates your feet.  It feels amazing!  My feet haven't been this soft since I was a baby!  And they smell nice, too! You will love Kathy... she's a doll! She is so pleasant and makes you feel at ease. She just took over ownership of this shop and it's fully remodeled, nicely decorated and clean! Great new place! Loved the way my nails turned out. The only place around that uses plastic on the bowls for the pedicure. Very sanitary and great nail color selection. They also have a large selection of powder colors. I would recommend it. Read Less
