I don't normally write reviews, but this place definitely deserves one. What a great place to get your nails done! I love to have a relaxing pedicure after a long week and this place definitely fulfilled my needs. The workers were extremely friendly and I was treated well, almost like I was family. Since I was trying to find a new salon in the area, I wanted to find a place that I was comfortable at, and the employees here definitely made me feel accepted like a regular. I have been coming here for almost a year now and completely in love with the entire staff. Every time you walk in they greet you and offer either a water . My nail lady is Amy and she is extremely thorough and leaves me completely satisfied after she's done. She is amazing at what she does and gives you exactly what you want without you even really needing to tell her anything! The owner Michelle is very welcoming and always knows your name as soon as you walk through the door. The environment is very clean and all their appliances are clean as well, which is a BIG plus. I live 80 miles away and got stiletto acrylics and a pedi done at a place by where I live. They did a great job with the shape, but unfortunately one popped off 3 days later. I was in the Palm Desert area and decided to come to Valley Nails in the Palm Desert Westfield Shopping Mall to get my one nail fixed and get a gel color change on my hands and feet. I checked the prices and proceeded to get my one nail fixed and a gel color change (for Valentine's Day) on my hands and feet. (No pedi, just color change. Like I said I had just gotten my nails and toes done the week before...)After finishing it came time to pay. I was happy with my nails up until they charged me a whopping $65 dollars! Excuse me? $65 dollars to fix one broken nail and do a gel polish change?! I paid that to get a full set and pedi in the first place!! The problem was that I was irritated, paid, and left. But once leaving, I reviewed the price sheet again and realized that they did indeed charge me more than they were supposed to. I was so frustrated but I didn't want to argue and go back to demand my money, but I honestly spent more money (including tip) to get my ONE nail fixed and change the color than I did for getting my whole set and toes done in the first place! Just moved to California and this is the first nail place I went to thinking they would be good, WRONG. Michelle if that's even her real name completely messed up my nails and I got acrylics and I told her I didn't like them and she laughed in my face and acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. she also cut my finger open to the point where it was bleeding and blamed it on the 'new nail file'. what a great welcoming to California, not. Went there yesterday 12/30/16. The lady cut me 3 times. She said my nail beds were dry, so she took a motorized sanding wheel to my cuticles. My nails tingle all night. I have reach out to a Valley Nail and have not received any response. DON'T go there. Tearing cuticle is very dangerous and hard to heal! Read Less
