Go elsewhere for a Brazillian wax! The most painful and poorly done job I have ever experienced. The technician missed spots, tortured me by not using the proper amount of wax and cutting the hairs too short before waxing (I already trimmed before I went in). My skin is still angry the next day, and I'm hoping this doesn't leave my skin scarred into remaining a darker tone. I got a manicure and pedicure afterwards, which was decent, but I was annoyed by them asking me to get up and pay right in the middle of them doing my nails! I will not be returning. Read Less

Just had a pedicure here at Nails by Lisa and had a great experience! All the staff are friendly and the salon does not have that strong vapor smell that most do. I had a French pedi by Ryan and he did a meticulous job! Would definitely recommend this salon to friends Read Less

I was a loyal customer for years because of the friendly service, but became alarmed when their prices increased and/or changed (without explanation) with each recent visit and service I had. I finally stopped coming here when I was charged $15 for an upper lip wax - which did NOT include tip. Plus their gel manicures are sloppy. Plus the wait time even with an appt can exceed 30 minutes. I finally stopped making excuses for them and found another Pacifica salon who does GREAT gel manicures and whose prices are all listed on the wall. Haven't liked that place since Lisa was in charge, now her daughter owns it and she's a witch. Money hungry, no Community customer service, they're always speaking another language right in front of you... when they can very well speak English. I am a lifetime resident in Rockaway Beach and I will not be returning to this salon. I took my two little girls here. A 6 year old and 11 year old. I had a 10 am appointment and they didn't take us until 10:30 am. The nail technicians simply painted their nails. They told me that if they filed or cut them it would be extra and I advised them that I had already done that at home. They charged me $25 for each child for a simple paint job I could have done myself. Extremely disappointed. There are plenty of salons in the Bay Area where we could have done a full mani/pedi for the same price. This was supposed to be a simple little treat for my girls. Just ok. A bit too pricy. 70 bucks for gel mani amd regular pedi I still see a little cuticle on 2 of my fingers. Will not come back. I still gave them high tip because they knew my friend who recommended me but i would rather go to burlingame or somewhere nicer for that price Read Less

$45 for a gel manicure. Probably the best one I've had. I burnt my hand holding a curling iron and she was very gentle but still managed to get all that cuticle and made my nails look incredibly nice. Also, everyone is very nice and everyone I noticed was very attentive to each client. Unlike many salons who try to have quick turn arounds. Very relaxing ambiance. Thank you! Read Less

I went in for an acrylic fill without an appointment and they were able to accommodate me. The nail tech (I'm sorry I don't remember her name) was very friendly and did an excellent job. I've been to a lot of nail salons and I'm picky. I would definitely go back. The only drawback is the small parking lot. It's a little awkward to negotiate and that the business is cash only. Amazing service! They take real good care of you here and are genuinely sweet people that care about giving you EXACTLY what you want. I asked if they did chrome and holo nails and they said yes! Wow... Total service disconnect, but that wasn't the worst part. My 11 year old daughter has had many mani/pedis at various nail shops with never a problem. Today she came out with a sloppy polish and SEVEN BLEEDING CUTICLES!!! Had they apologized and comped the service I probably wouldn't be writing this. Instead, the elderly lady (didn't catch her name) walked away in the middle. The owner proceeded to tell us it was my daughter's fault, charged $18 for a kid's polish change. Luckily, Kathy came over and finished the job. She was pleasant and competent. 7 stars for Kathy, 0 for the pre-retirement lady and negative 5 for the surly owner= 2 stars. Bah-Bye, We won't be back.
