I wish I could seriously give this place zero stars.  This review is long overdue.  I really wanted to like this place as it's within walking distance from my house.  I gave it 3 tries and each time it just got worse.  They seriously don't know what they are doing there.  My daughter got a mani/pedi for her homecoming dance and the woman doing her nails couldn't even get the polish on her nails!  It was so messy.  She wound up just leaving and it looked just awful.  I was in a pinch and had to get my nails done right away so gave it a shot after receiving a horrific pedicure.  Bad move on my part.  Not only are they unfriendly there, they seriously don't have a clue how to do nails.  Do yourself a favor and go to Classy Nails at Serramonte.  You will be glad you did. One of the friendliest nail salons I've ever been to. Great mani/pedis and they've even talked me out of gel mani a couple of times because my nails were too thin. They were correct, I just went regular mani and gave the fingers a rest from the gel. Li is the only person I go to for my waxing needs. Worse nail place ever! I have given it several chances for the convenience of its proximity to my home. Disappointed every single time. Last time it was a very ugly nail design which they charged a bunch extra for, this last time it was a gel manicure which lasted far less than 2 weeks and when I went in to ask them to fix the nails that had peeled they laughed and said no, I would need to get them all re-done. What a joke! Every gel mani I've ever had from other locations has lasted much, much longer. And I didn't even get the standard quick hand and arm massage. Skip it! Not worth the wasted money. Theres a lady with purple/reddish hair that did my nails.-She can't see. She missed putting the brush into the bottle a multiple of times.-About 1 minute of massage.-Painful cuticle cuttings.-Nail polish job that looks like I did it myself.-Dropped the cuticle cutter on the floor and still used it on me.-Asked if color was "ok" after it was done drying.Upon paying with card they also had the audacity to ask for tip in cash. New to Pacifica, so hopefully there's better out there.  I'm giving a lackluster review to mirror the pedicure we got.  No massage for mani or pedi, no dryers for nails, chairs not that comfortable, no flip flops, no buffing unpolished nails.  Mani and pedi were fine, but nothing special.  $56 for 2 pedis and 1 mani, polish only for 1 pedi.  Don't take cards for tips and 'didn't understand' when I wanted change.  Though we had conversation during mani/pedi and that was understood.  Did get right in on a Friday noon time. Did my first gel manicure here and was definitely impressed. Another pissed off commenter mentioned that they don't need to tip these guys because "they give no massage with pedicures, and gel manicures they can't even slather some lotion on your hands at least, I might as well just do it myself at home.". This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I wanted my hands "lotioned" up too, but that doesn't mean that the manicure I was given wasn't suburb, affordable, and long lasting (aka something I can't achieve at home even though I loveee doing my nails myself). I came back a few weeks later and asked for a complex gel manicure: candy corn stripes. I didn't even know if they could pull it off. Well guess what: THEY DID. I came in RIGHT BEFORE CLOSING and they gave me an AMAZING 3 colored candy corn gel set. The lady who did the painting took a manicure thin brush and delicately painted each strip (3 per finger, times 10 fingers) so it took longer than other manicures. I was so happy with her attention to detail and willingness to give me a unique set like this. They rock. I'm going there today for another gel set (27 bucks? Hell yes on pricing?). You should too. Why even expect a tip when all you're doing is painting the nails? I rather be pampered for the prices they charge, specially since I don't go very often to do so. My last time coming in, there was a baby there who belonged to one of the manicurist, well the lady doing my nails my guess is the owner completely left me sitting in my chair to hold the crying baby and sit on the couch, I just sat there pissed off thinking how I should just walk out but since I brought my mom & sister in I couldn't just storm out she even messed up on one of my hands because she was more focused on the baby, didn't say one word to me but jibber jabbered on the whole time ignoring me. I've been coming to this nail salon for years now. I always have a pleasant and relaxing experience here. I'm pretty satisfied with the services I get here. Everyone has their style for doing mani pedis. If there is something I need corrected or something I want them to do they will do it no problem. It's in a great location next to a Starbucks, round Table Pizza, Safeway, Rite Aid pharmacy and Ross store. There are other shops and businesses in this location and it's easy to spend a few hours here taking care of all your business. I like to get the gel mani and pedi that takes about 45 minutes so it's not too long and not rushed. Gives me a chance to relax for a little bit. I like all the staff there. They are all very nice and friendly. The staff has been pretty consistent throughout the years as it is family run and a very tight knit great. Read Less

I like this place.  The family who runs the shop is very nice and I like all of the staff.  I can always get in as a walk in and now that I am a regular they are all so welcoming.  I love the Moroccan oil pedi and the gel manis last over two weeks.  I have had good luck with the products I have purchased here as well.  They remember what you like and what you don't like.  It took a few visits for me to warm up to the salon but now I am a loyal customer! Good nail salon in Pacifica, been coming here for years. I don't get my nails done very often, only a few times a year. Gel manicure always lasts 2-3 wks. Amazing! Staff always tries to get you in as fast as they can, but they definitely favor the regulars over everybody else.Down side to this salon is they charge you something different every time. I am a very difficult customer. I have a very busy life so I'm always a walk-in, I always ask if they have time right now, and I always come close to closing time. And I love these guys.I go every two weeks to get a fill, and they always try their hardest to make sure I have a seat. Joe and Le are both fantastic - Joe is so gentle and his fills last forever, and Le is so friendly and puts you at ease so quickly that I had her do my man's manicure because he was anxious about the idea of getting cut - and she took perfect care of him. The owner also does a great job - she is very sweet, always keeping a great balance between business and casual.They always make conversation, but also emphasize relaxation, so they don't talk a whole lot. They are very understanding of how tired one can be at the end of the day. The perfect example I have is of the last really bad day I had, and I called asking if they could squeeze me in if I drove up from San Jose - the owner said yes, as long as I wasn't late (my appointment was right as they were closing). When I got there, she saw how tired I was, seated me right away, asked me what I needed and and put a pillow against the back rest and helped me settle in. Nothing fancy going on here.  You will often find the owner hanging out with her computer on one of the couches when you come in (if she's not working on a customer) and her teenage son and also her husband wandering around.  It's cozy, unpretentious. I've been coming here off and on for probably 7+ years (and have watched her son grow up over the years!).  They have almost always made room for me and typically if there's a wait - it's never very long (if you call ahead - even a few minutes in advance).I had a gel manicure done for the first time and I love it.  They did a really nice job and my nails are still unchipped (it's been 2 1/2 weeks).  Normally I don't get manicures because my nails are thin and chip after a few days - but the gel service was great.  Going back tomorrow.I also had a pedicure done the same day and again - they did a really nice job and my toesies still look fabulous.Sometimes communication is "iffy" but there's always someone there that the girls can ask for help if they're not getting what you're trying to say or if they feeling someone else can explain something better - which is fine by me!Don't expect the royal treatment but if you're needing good services at a good price for the area I would recommend checking this place out. I DESPISE THIS PLACE. I only come here when my regular nail lady is booked and I am desperate but no more. I can no longer shell out hard-earned money for subpar service. The only one who is any good here is Le. Multiple times I have called and made an appointment with her to show up only have them have someone else do my nails. The last time I was there, the owner did my gel manicure. She asked if I wanted my nails cut and I said no, just filed. Cut to 20 minutes later and all of my nails are ridiculously short. My gel manicure that is supposed to last 10-14 days chipped the very next day. Joe is the absolute worst though. He has cut me on more than one occasion and laughs out a "sorry".  He massacres my normally healthy cuticles every time he works on them. Luckily, I found Kim's Natural Nail in Rockaway Beach where her gel manicures last 3 weeks without chipping. Read Less

The people here have no respect the lady called me stupid because I was late. I was told when I called they closed at 8pm. I arrived at 6pm and she said they were closed I told her why did you tell me you close at 8pm than she said its only sometimes. The first and last time I went here was a few years ago. I am not sure if I received a pedicure by someone who was new or what, but she looked like she had no clue what she was doing. When she was cutting my cuticles, she cut me. And then she poured this white liquid on my cut, and left it. Keep in mind, from what I hear, that's not the correct procedure.
