Possibly one of the worst nail salons I've ever been to. The guy who did my nails was rushed. There are bubbles on each of my nails. Nails were so crooked! How could he not see what he was doing! I walked out with specks of polish all over my fingers. The nail polish was also not even properly applied to my nail. One part of my nail has 1 coat, other parts of the same nail have 2 coats and you can definitely see where. Do not go there. Horrible service. I went to make gel nail polish refill and everything pilled out right the way. I told them before leave and they re-done 1 nail. When I came home everything pilled out and I have to come back to do everything again. They use a different color but they didn't take out well the color so my nails look like dirty and bad done now. Got an eyebrow wax with specific instructions to not shape my eyebrows only clean up the lids. Final product: Eyebrows are thin and after 5 days the burning sensation finally wore off which now turned into small bumps and breakouts. I should've followed my instinct to leave after seeing the dusty polish in the nail bar credenza, the fact that the lady that did my waxing didn't even put on gloves or sanitize her hands after doing a pedicure for someone else, and the obvious barely populated salon. No tip or recommendations will go out to this place from me and I hope I can stray anyone away from this place to support a horrible business. Go to Rose's nails up the street instead. HORRIBLE SERVICE! DO NOT GO HERE! I went here for the first time today. When I asked for my eyebrows to be done, I asked the lady working there if she could see my original eyebrow shape because I had pencil-lined them this morning, and she flipped out on me! She refused me service and kept repeating that she was 'busy' even though there was no one else in the salon! She clearly doesn't understand English, how costumer service works, or how to be a normal person with any etiquette or common sense. She displayed highly irrational and violent behavior over a simple miscommunication problem that was entirely on her part. I'm not impressed. Even there was only 2 customers, I felt like everything was rushed. My foot massage was not even relaxing. He just basically kept patting my legs. Even when he was done filing my toes, there was rough jagged edges. My nails were still dirty. I'm not wasting my money here again. This place is dirty, dusty, just not sanitary at all. Jenny does a nice pedicure! My feet were horrible, and she cleaned them up, gave a great massage and polish that usually lasts a few weeks! Plus, the chair was really good at getting trigger points! 22$ and gave 5$ tip, just because! I'm aware of other posts, and sometimes true, but they mean well, it's convenient and not too expensive. I have been going to Elegant Nails for about 10 years now. I had been to many other salons n the Peninsula. A friend gave me a "Coupon" to Elegant Nails as a gift.......and what a wonderful gift that turned out to be. I am a licensed cosmetologist and this place could definitely be shut down by the state. I saw that their pedicure bowls are dirty and they reuse their instruments. I got a lip wax and she used 6 wax strips and still left so much hair, plus afterward she put hydrocortisone cream on me without asking, u shouldn't ever have to put that stuff on a freshly waxed area... So far the worst pedicure experience on the peninsula and after seven years I have had a lot. The man working there have me a very rushed and sloppy pedicure so much so that when I was sitting for my nails to dry and got a real look he actually painted an eighth of and inch past each of my toes and missed the sides completely. When I brought this to his attention he kept making his imaginary toenail line straight until I finally took my nail and scraped all the excess polish to expose my real nail. After about three tries he finally PUT HIS GLASSES ON and continued to be frustrated with me until I let him know "sir they are all just messy" he told me to sit in the chair and Tammy took over and made them look perfect. It was stressful to me since I rarely get to treat myself to such things these days and when you pay for a service you want it done correctly. Tammy is an angel and IF you do ever come here only go if you can sit with Tammy.A discount would have been nice but instead Tammy took her scheduled appointment and the guy left me drying for a half hour and went outside. My nails were strong but they were THICK! The guy did them. I'm sure the girls do a better job. They have done pedicures on me so I know. They only take cash. He was brutal with my nails (very rough) and grunted a lot. In between he would smoke cigarettes. I wish he would have turned me away rather than give me half-ass service. Ok well lets start with the good--the prices are really reasonable compared to other places here locally and the staff is very friendly.  I had pink & white tips put on for my wedding and they looked beautiful (especially for $35).  The nails are done well and feel strong.  The not so good--My french pedicure was OK.  The white lines at the end of my toenails are all different widths though and don't look super professional.  Also, my maid of honor had a manicure/pedicure done and it was terrible.  Her nails were not dry and they told her to leave the dryers, leaving her with smudged nails.  The facility itself is not fancy at all, they don't even have the water bowls to clean your nails off in, you are instructed to go and wash your hands in a sink at the rear of the salon.  There is nothing really stand out about the way the salon looks--comfortable chairs for your pedicure and otherwise pretty plain looking.  I would use them again for tips especially for the price, but if you are looking for anything that the nicer salons offer, I would say look elsewhere.  Also, remember to bring cash--no credit cards. Tammie has been "doing" my nails for about 7 years. She corrected an unhealthy nail condition I had gotten from another nail salon in the area. She does a superb job with french nails, and fills. Jenny usually does the pedicures, and is very meticulous. Yes maybe that place is cheap, but I did it like the service the staff looks like they dont care they kinda rude too. I ruin the pain and they were complaining they had to fix it.  My medicure was ruin after one night my french pedicure grrr I would rather pain myself then go there again. Not a good experience. decent pedicure. small shop. cheap for only $23, at least for this area. HOWEVER, doesn't take credit cards! Which was a little annoying, but there is a bank in the shopping center. FIRST!Well...ended up here b/c it was one of the cheapest mani-pedi's in the area when I was down for a wedding in Carmel.The shop is small, has tons of magazines, and the staff was nice. $33 for a mani-pedi, more than 50% to what I'm used to paying in San Francisco.Pedicurist was nice and dealt with my broken toe nail...opted to "just pain the skin."
