The worst experience ever. Some man did my nails and he had so much attitude. Can’t remember his name but his nails were absolutely disgusting. They were sharp and long and cut at an angled. I didn’t want him to touch me. He made it so uncomfortable for me and he went to the side and started talking in his language to one of his coworkers about me. He was rude and gross. I always go here to get my nail services done. #1 reason is because they are clean and use disposable foot scrubs, files, and toe separators. They also cover the pedicure tub with a plastic wrap, that way your feet never have contact with the actual bowl. (For me that is a plus!) I highly recommend this place. Read Less

My daughter & I were having a girls day this past Sunday. We wanted to get pedis and manis. I told her about this place and I had heard great things about it. We walked in about 12:45, lady who greeted didn't look excited to be there. Told her what we wanted and how long the wait would be. She talked to another worker in their language and kept staring at the appointment book for like 1-2 mins. Only good thing here are the chairs.  Staff are rude and indifferent.  Went in tonight and pedicure was sloppy.  White spots on my toenails.  Last time my nails bubbled as they were in a hurry.  This is the second time I have experienced this at this location.  Too bad as I like the Collection but will get my nails done elsewhere. My mani and pedi was great however their credit card machine went down and I had to wait 15 minutes until it came back on to leave. Went because it was close to my home. There was minimal interaction with the person who did my pedicure and one of the nails didn't have polish on the one corner. He was also pretty rough on my toes. For my gel manicure, I've had it on for a week and it is already chipping. It's safe to say I will never go back here! Read Less

Went in for a fill and pedicure. I did not have an appointment and was told it would be 15 minutes. No problem. I sat and waited my turn. Then I had my pedicure I asked if they knew I wanted  a fill also. They said yes. My pedicure was good. No one ever came to do my fill nor asked. After sitting drying my toes for 10 minutes they were taking other customers, I felt annoyed. There is no one in control of what is going on and not much customer service skills. I was in the area when a nail broke so I tried this place out and it was a fail. I went in and replaced my old set with an entirely new set. The lady was really cool personality wise but she cut me several times and even burned my finger with the drill while coughing  also the nails are shaped weird and slant in a unnatural/ unattractive way. The gel color selection was amazing but I would not recommend waiting the long line and paying the higher than average prices- it's just not worth it. Read Less

Did a walk in chrome manicure by Amy. She was so nice and helpful especially since this was my first manicure in years and my first chrome manicure.  The color choices were beyond amazing.  The salon was very clean and busy without seeming crowded.  All of the technicians were very friendly and the clientele seemed very satisfied with the services they were getting. Tawny is freaking awesome. She is so good and gets everything you want correctly. Btw she is super cool and sweet. Staff is amazing. Im usually very picky on pedicures but she definitely did an amazing job. Some of the people here worked at the place I used to go to before and im so glad they work here now. This is my favorite nail salon in town. It is always clean and the atmosphere is young and fun. All of the staff is wonderful and does great work. Tawny does my gel mani and pedi and I am satisfied everytime. They make you feel welcome and part of the family. If you want a special design ask for Jimmy or Diana and they will not dissapoint. I made an appointment for a gel manicure and a toe polish change. I arrived five minutes before my appointment, but wasn't seated with a manicurist until 15 minutes later. The woman who was doing my nails was new, and not the most tactful. I believe she had good intentions but her conversation wasn't appropriate and her comments were borderline offensive. My nails were OK - I had to ask for a couple to be redone due to bubbling, or not covering the entire nail with polish. I didn't feel like my experience was very friendly, and the service was not anything to rave about. I would give it one more chance, as I have heard that Tawni is great but I would not want to go back to the same manicurist. Read Less

The staff here seems pretty close because of the positive energy that surrounds this nailbar. Everytime I come in, i get quick and excellent service even during their rush hours. My mom and I have been to virtually every nail salon in Ventura since she moved here in 2011 and this is hands down THE BEST.  Talented, terrific, friendly, happy people work here and make the whole experience such a pleasure! The service is excellent, fast, exactly what you ask for -- and once I didn't like what I asked for and Amy (an angel!) redid it at no extra cost even though they were busy. Highly recommend nails with Amy, Janice, or Lana (all amazing) and pedicure with Jimmy, Tony or Tyler.  Warning: If you lack a sense of humor, or require silence with your mani, do everyone a favor and go elsewhere. This place is jovial and friendly, the staff all obviously like each other and everyone has a good time. It feels like being invited to a friend's house for a spa party! Read Less

I have come here twice now, the first time was for a gel manicure and next was for a regular pedicure. I had Lilly for my manicure, she was friendly and did a good job on my nails, and they actually lasted longer than my gels usually do. What I don't like about this salon is how unprofessional it is. Both times I went the nail techs who were not working were doing everything from sitting on the couch, scrolling through their phones, loudly FaceTimeing people,  smoking right outside, and even straightening their hair (???). I would describe this place more like a laid back sorority house living room where some people might be having their nails done. Their priorities here are not what they should be.My second visit was a terrible disappoint. I was told by the person at the desk to sit in chair #1. When the manicurist came over she did not say hi back to me, no friendly conversation whatsoever, and just grabbed/pushed my feet when she wanted me to move them. She was extremely rough with her 'massage', almost to the point that I would ask her to stop because she was hurting my muscles by digging her fingers into them. I was in no way comfortable or relaxed. Then she CUT me when she was trimming the cuticle! I pulled my foot away from her, said 'Ow' and she didn't even look up or say a word in acknowledgment. The one time she did speak to me was to ask for the nail polish I chose, and she called me 'Friend'......... Come on, who tortures someone for 20 mins and then calls them 'friend'?? After she painted my nails she went outside for a cigarette break, I watched her through the window, and she came back smelling like crap. When it was time to leave she put my sandals back on without removing the strips of paper towels she had intertwined between my toes... (Why don't they have proper toe dividers?) I sat there and carefully removed them before leaving.The only thing I was happy about was the way the pedicure looked, UNTIL I got home and saw how the polish was not applied evenly and it was see through in some parts. Totally sucked. I wish I had asked for the name of the woman who did my nails because I would tell everyone to NOT go to her! This nail salon is beyond unprofessional, I won't be back. Came in for a fill and Amy worked quickly, efficiently and my nails looks great. Unfortunately I spent a lot of time on the phone with a friend so I didn't get a chance to strike up a conversation- but I didn't get much of a specia treatment that I always read about; tea, water, mints, etc.They're good, but I will still stick to my regular place. This was my first time at the Polish Nail Bar. I had such a great experience!! Everyone was really nice and it had a laid back vibe, I didn't feel rushed at all. 1:07pm: Walked in (no appointment) & was told there was going to be a wait since I didn't make an appointment plus scheduled appointments will be walking in, I opted to wait. Sat on the couch, while looking through the different gel color options. While chillin' on the couch, I got to chat with a nice lady who is a regular here and said really good things about this place..1:18pm: Was told to sit in pedicure chair 5. Gentleman said it would be a few minutes since the gal who was to perform my pedi, was just finishing up with another client.1:35pm: Lilly started applying acetone and foil to my toesies, which would begin the gel soak off process.1:42pm: The relaxation begins...2:30ish: Gel Pedicure complete.. Thanks Lilly!!!-----------------------------------------I made a last minute decision to get a gel manicure, since I found a color that I loved! Lana moved me to her station, and within 20 minutes or so my gel mani was done. Not only is Lana quick but she's also efficient. There's a difference between someone "rushing" your treatment and actually just being fast and good in what they do- Lana is good and fast (in a good way!). Overall, I'm so glad I decided to try this place today. I really like the chill vibe in the salon. Everyone is so really chill and laid back. I even met a new friend in the salon who is a regular and said a lot of good things about this place. They have a lot of (Essie) gel colors to choose from (please refer to my posted pic). I do wish that they would isolate each color ring so that the similar colors are on one ring because they actually have too many colors to choose from and it's slightly a hassle that multiple colors are on one ring. The salon is very clean and modern. I appreciate the fact that they practice very clean and safe sanitation for their pedicure chairs. I witnessed them clean and throw the plastic bags used to line the pedi sinks at each chair. Plus the pedi chairs are actual working chairs that provide a great massage (I dazed off a few times, it was nice!).
