The work they do is art. I came in 2ith a horrible acrylic set that was so thick and bubbly I could not even open a can of coke. They transformed my nails from monster claws to a work of art. I have been coming here to get my eyebrows waxed for at least a year and half. I will only see Kayla. She is sweet, and friendly, and does an amazing job. I have tried the brow bar at Ulta since going to OV and I was more satisfied with my brows after Kayla has done them. Read Less

Manicure wasn't bad for $15. My biggest complaint is the lack of polish colors. Gels have a good selection but regular nail polish choices were limited and most of them were a no name brand. They also all looked old and half empty. She did a great job with my cuticles and a nice massage. Read Less

I don't ever plan on going back to this Salon again. I made an appointment to get my nails done because my now fiancé and I had an appointment to look at rings. When I got there I had to wait almost an hour after my appointment. A guy who works there finished a lady's nails and then came up to me and asked if I was in a hurry. I told him yes and he said what is the latest time you need to leave here. He then proceeded to take the ladies boyfriend and give him a manicure while I wanted another 15-20 mins. This made my day very stressful, as I had a previous appointment. And too top it off I heard another guy say "see we shouldn't have gotten our nails done...people are waiting who had appointments." I have been coming here for the last 3 years for an eyebrow wax, pedicure and sometimes a gel manicure. Every time I come I bring my cousin with me and we've always had a good experience. I've been going to OV Nails for about 4 years. Never had a problem with the staff, and I have developed a great relationship with the owner, Joey, and his wife, Kayla. Their spa is very clean, and if I don't like the way something looks on my nails Joey and Kayla will redo it, no questions asked. Joey does great full sets and fills, while Kayla always does fantastic pedicures (she does nail art too) and waxes my eyebrows perfectly. Their prices are fair, and I prefer them over any other nail salon in the area since I have tried them all (lived here my whole life-25 years). They also have an extensive collection of gel and regular polish and have some beautiful pieces of jewelry for sale in the salon. I highly recommend them for any of your nail and waxing needs!! I took my boyfriend for the first time to get a pedicure. We came in on Sunday and they had football on the tv so I knew it would be a good experience for him. This family run business is one of the best. Great people, relaxing comfortable atmosphere and good conversation. Two stars for the pedicure but the manicure sucks . I came in early no one else here and she was so rushed never said a word to me didn't cut the dead cuticles . My nails are jagged missing paint all along the side which I had to ask the pedicure lady to fix . I have jagged hang nails sticking out its awful . I never treat myself and I got a gift card and I still had to lay out of locket because it's such high prices . It's nothing special other than you can see some water . Hit or miss. Last visit was a HUUUUUUGE miss! Pedicure was ok but not worth the money. They have been skimping on the massage time as well. I paid $52 for the pedicure and feel cheated. I got a full set of powder nails and they are HORRENDOUS. I was cut on 4/10 fingers and they look awful. 7/10 nails have visible bubbles and all no attention was given to the underside of 10/10 nails. I came here for years but I will never come back. Found this place on Yelp and I have to say I'm glad I did! I'm not from Oxnard (Redondo Beach) my cousin lives here and we were celebrating her birthday at the Yolanda's Mexican Restaurant next door. I read the Yelp reviews re a manicurist named Joey who does excellent nails and yes this is definitely true. The ambiance of this place is very relaxing, it's super clean, Joey and the others have excellent people skills and are a joy to visit. I think every woman needs a nail shop in every city they visit frequently - this definitely is my new place, thanks Joey! Read Less
