i honestly really like the service here ive gone to other nail salons and they just dont do my pedi or mani the way i want them too ! ive been coming here for a little over a year and i wont be switching salons as long as my fav nail techs work here !!! update the nail tech i go to Kim no longer works there and im so upset! The People who work there, are not very friendly. The pedicure was great, but the technician was a bit rough, and it hurt a little. I like the drying area, and neck message, but this is not my favorite place to have a pedicure (I had a groupon, so I thought it was worth a try), it's not likely I will return. Read Less

I was in need of a pedicure and fill as my regular nail tech in Thousand Oaks was out of town so I decided to try a place closer to home. I had heard of Bella Nails because of "nailsbythai' on instragram and decided to try this place, as it has been touted as one of "Oxnard's Best." Pedicures here are the worst! the woman who did my pedicure cut the skin on two of my toes and the entire pedicure lasted a little over 10 minutes. I asked her politely if she could be more gentle and she rudely responded "WHAT?" She continued being rough with my feet so once again I asked, politely, if she could be gentle. She stopped what she was doing, not even finishing the pedicure and began painting my toenails. Super rude! I needed a fill as well and to replace a nail that had broken off. I asked the nail tech if I could get my nails a little shorter and I showed her where i would like the length to be. She cut down my nails so short, half of what they were! and when she tried to shape them in to the stiletto shape i had previously, she did such a horrible job. My nails are crooked, some are wider, some are more narrow than others and they look like deformed cat claws. she was also rude and did not talk to me only to ask if my boyfriend was my husband and if my friend was my sister. I came here just to see how the pedicures were. Let me just say it doesn't even deserve one star. I got the basic, my massage was about 30 seconds long. The cuticle softer was about 5 seconds on each foot. It was not busy in the salon so I figured they would of taken their time. Sadly I was mistaken. I wish places would realize we come here to relax, not to be rushed out. The only positive thing out of my pedicure is leaving. I would not recommend this location. First let me say that I found Nails by Thai on Instagram and I really was excited about the artistry I saw in the photos.But when I arrived I was very disappointed. I was hardly greeted before I was told to sit and wait in the chair. Thai was running about 30 minutes late which was no big deal because traffic was terrible coming from the San Fernando Valley all the way to Oxnard I was running late as well.When I sat down in his chair we discuss the design and I told him that I would like to have pretty much any color as long as it was pastel. Since it was spring. I brought my daughter with me too it was her birthday week and I was treating us both to special Nails. I wanted to have Thai do to both mine and my daughters but he insisted that that was too long to wait so he referred her to a different nail tech Mina who worked right next to him.  He had scheduled an appointment with Mina but within a couple minutes she got up and someone named Daniel sat down and worked on my daughter.I sat down with Thai and I have to say from the very beginning he was kind of an ass. He just had a very negative attitude about everything including the fact that he felt burdened with all the free product he was being sent from all the different manufacturers. He also was very negative about other Instagramers and other nail techs putting down many of them as he worked. Although I had a brand-new full set on from Laque nail bar he decided all my emails had to be removed and proceeded to rip them off one by one which was extremely painful. Ripping off a two week old. It is completely ridiculous. He pretty much had an attitude about everything, the fact that I wanted a light color or pastel acrylic, that I liked a different glitter than what he had in mind and that I wanted my nails shorter which he refused to do. I was starting to dread my decision. I did my best to turn the situation and act friendly and kind and make the appointment as fun as possible for both myself and my daughter. As she  was sitting next to me she mouthed tell me that the nail tech did not put the bonding liquid on before he began the acrylic having been very experienced at having acrylics she was very concerned. But there is a new technology all the time and we both assumed this was a product that didn't need a primer/bonding solution. Boy were we wrong with in a week her nails were lifting and I took her to have a new set put on they were covered in fungus. Needless to say she was very upset and attempted to call Thai and get a refund he was completely rude and arrogant and then refused to refund her the money stating that the Salon was based on commission. When she told him that she was going to have to file a report with the state board because the products are being improperly used he told her to stop threatening him and he refused to give her any type of refund at all. It is a consumer's responsibility to file a complaint with the state board especially when it's the health and safety of the public that's involved. I'm very proud of my daughter that she would be willing to stand up for herself and only 17 years old and ask for a refund. Shame on Thai for being so rude and arrogant and treating his customer so terrible. I was on vacation in my hometown and needed my paws and claws done! However, they're pushy on the upsells adding on $5 here, $5 there. The woman doing my hands didn't listen when I asked that all nails be the same length and she ripped one of the sides! So I declined the gel on my hands due to this! I didn't voice my frustrations, I merely advised I was okay with a regular mani, they started speaking in a harsh tone to one and other and then the woman comes to me and says "If you don't get the gel, you pay $5 for take off of old gel. That's why you need gel." I said "That's fine, I don't want the gel!" In the end, due to having decorum I still tipped her $5 and my foot lady $10. I will never recommend this place though and will not go to them again when I'm in town next. Rude, pushy, and they didn't even do a great job! Today was my first trip here, as suggested by my sister. Her & her BFF frequent this salon as it is centrally located in Oxnard, has plenty of parking, very clean & reasonably priced. I had the spa pedicure which allowed me to soak my feet, get my feet scrubbed, legs massaged, cuticles cut & toe nails polished. This service costs $21!!! Normally this would be $30-35 at my regular spot in Thousand Oaks. I got my pedicure done by Linda, who was very nice. I let her know that I was due to get a haircut at 1pm, & I would need to leave by 12:45. I came in at 11:35am & my pedicure didn't start until 11:40am. She didn't "rush" the job, but she could have taken a little more time, because I was finished by 12:20am. I would have preferred if she had taken just a few more minutes with me. Also, I wasn't particularly fond of the chairs they had. The seats were a little too low & could not be adjusted to go forward more. Maybe due to my short legs & wasn't as comfortable & didn't feel as relaxed & pamper as I'd like to feel. Don't let this discourage you from coming here, that's just my experience.I would come here again. They were nice & like I said, very clean, inexpensive, but do a great job! Read Less

I felt that I was given poor service on the count that I was a male. I paid for the mani/pedi and when they were working on my feet, I received the quickest of pumicing, to the point that I still have calluses on my feet. The polish on my nails is not an even color, and there are ripples on basically every nail.Read Less

I really like this place. I've done toe polish changes & a no chip here & it's been great all around. I gave the lady the design for my no-chip & she replicated it. My digits were fab for my 40th last month! Next up; a pedicure! Read Less
