I came in (as a walk in) after work, was very surprised to find they are open until 8! I waited about 20 minutes but it was worth it, I got a gel full set and it only cost $38 because of their 5% off cash price discount! They have a lot of colors to choose from, and a large open space with TVs, music, and a real bar! I would normally not write a negative review for a whole place of business just because of one employee. But after a terrible experience with one employee hurting 5 of my fingers over and over and making 3 of them bleed (this is no exaggeration) I was not even approached by the manager to simply extend an apology. I asked the lady to stop midway- you would think a company who valued customer service would come by to smooth things over... possibly even give you a $5 discount or offer you ANYTHING to show they are sorry for your experience. Tuannnnnnn how Tuan!! I freakin love how you do my nails and they last over a month without breaking!! By far the best nail salon I have found since moving to this part of Anaheim. My nails are always looking fresh and I love love love their huge selection of colors.Not to mention the complimentary beverage they offer you as you get your spa on!Highly recommend calling in to see if your go to is available. I saw all the great reviews I decided to go for it. It's HUGE & BEAUTIFUL. I walked in, was seated right away for a new set. Had a lady walk up to me & start removing my nail polish she starts sanding it off ! I jumped because it burned she says "OH it's not gels". Ok no big deal just off to a rocky start right? So she begins to glue on the nail tips. She gets the pinky on. Then someone walks in the door. She says oh sorry that's my client & walks away! WAIT! WHAT?! So I'm sitting there with one long pinky nail trying to get someone's attention like hello?! I asked for a full set not a "coke nail" . Ok I'm just having one of those days no big deal. So finally this guy walks over, says nothing & grabs my hands. Ok finally right. It's all going to be ok ! WRONG he jabbed his nails into my cuticle & went to town filing. I like my nails short & simple. I went through with it thinking ohhh you're just being a crybaby. Beauty hurts. WRONG! So $40 plus tip later I go back to work. My finger tips are THROBBING. I took Tylenol. At dinner I squeezed a lemon on my food & my cuticles were BURNING!! I ran to run water over my hands. I woke up in the middle of the night with a heart beat at my finger tips. One star because the nail technician was nice and didn't dig into my cuticles too hard like most places. Otherwise, it wasn't a great experience. One of the managers? on staff, some woman - blonde lady? kept hovering and talking to my technician almost in a "why aren't you hurrying so you can take in another customer" type of way. Twice. That really annoyed me more than my kinda terrible nails.I asked for an ombreish French manicure. If you've seen other photos on yelp of this salon, you'd think a decent job would be done. It wasn't. I think this has been single-handedly the worst nail job I've ever received. I asked for no glitter and there is glitter all over my nails embedded in my polish. This is because she tried putting glitter on in the first place and when I told her no, she used the same piece of sponge with glitter! to do the ombré. My nails are really lumpy, gummy, and parts of my nails were not, for lack of a better word "polished."Why did I not correct her? Great question. Because the first time I said, no that's not what I wanted, she laughed and told me I was wrong. Also it seems to be common practice that people have to come back to get their nails done. I thought this place was great and clean. Bonus points for them since they offer free drinks and snacks. I got both gel mani and reg pedi and they did a really good job BUT the only complaint I have is that the employees were a little pushy about adding extra services or upgrading the pedicure.  Other than that it's a cute place. I found this place on Yelp, saw the excellent reviews, and decided to give them a try! Plus, they offer mimosas and light snacks! Who doesn't like a mimosa while getting your nails done? I sent in a request via yelp and Regina replied in a timely manner and I was able to secure a New Year's Eve day appointment. When I walked in, I was warmly greeted and sat down. I got a mimosa and some pretzels while I waited for Ivy, who was going to do my nails. I chose to try Vernis nail bar because they were a few dollars cheaper for an SNS fill and offered wine/mimosas, and snacks! :-) Ivy sat down and started working on my nails right away. What I liked best, is that she made my nails look more natural and less "thick" like my previous fills. It actually took her quite awhile to get the powder off because the powder on the nails were so thick. She also took less time to fill my nails than the others who had done the SNS. Which is always nice, because these fills take quite awhile!The only bummer is I have 2 nails that are cracking because they are slightly too thin. Ironically, they look way better this way, but are easier to damage. Overall, I will be back to Vernis Nail Bar because of their friendly service and the great job they did on my nails! Read Less

Wow!This place is so cute and nice!  I am so happy that a couple of my friends recommended this place. The staff is so nice and attentive. The place is huge! And not to mention,  they give u drinks! Oh yeah!I love how there are so many seats. Always ready for the next customer to show up. I got a full set, gel nails done by Ivy. She was sweet and did an amazing job. I got my toes done by Lily. I have come into this nail place a couple times for a mani/pedi with my bf and both times have been great experiences. My sessions are much longer than his, poor guy, since I get the sis nail powder with gel coat on top.Their work is clean and lasts. I found my new nail place.  The staff are fantastic!!!! The don't try and up-sale you, which I LOVE.  And they are clean, they even use a bag  in the pedicure tubs.  Not to mention free drinks and snacks.  So I've gone a couple of times now, and I think they ate getting too comfortable and started cutting corners.  I went Sunday with my mom and I notified the nail tech that I had an ingrown nail and to check it.  She fixed one and said the other one is fine.  Needless to say it wasn't.  I ended up digging at it and making a mess.  Thus the reason why I go to the nail salon.  I'll give them one more chance to see if they are still my new nail place.  We will see? I am so happy I found this nail salon, I have been there twice and I am in love. 1. Because the place is new HUGE and clean. There is so much space and you don't feel cramped inside. I really appreciate that! The lighting is awesome and they also have a HUGE color selection. 2. The people are extremely nice!  One tome Regina I think her name is (supervisor) stayed with me later to do my nails and I appreciated it very very much. Customer service alone is a 5!3. On my second visit May totally listened to me when I showed her my Pinterest picture. She looked at it talked to me and sampled what my nails would look like. FINALLY! People that don't want to just get the nails done and the business they care about making you happy which is why I will always go to her and this salon! I am a very simple clean look girl and I wanted natural nails both shape and color. I usually get pink and short squared nails ( I ask myself did they even loom at the photo and get upset) which is never what I want. LOVE this place! My mom & I have been coming here for the last 4 months, 2x a month :) I've had my a great experience with the Manager Regina as she really cares about the customer experience. The last two times I've had full set & fills w gel polish with Tuan. He is great! He takes his time and I haven't had any lifting or issues like that since he has been doing my nails. REGINA turned an originally 1-STAR review into 5 STARS!Why the initial 1 star? Simply put: Shannon, get your act together. I made an appointment for 6:45pm and specified that I only had 1 hour for a gel manicure and pedicure before a subsequent tanning appointment, so it was crucial that I had two technicians working on both sets of nails simultaneously. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the sweetest nail technician who was completely understanding about my rush and did everything she could to try and grab another technician to work on my manicure as she rushed (and still did an amazing job) on my gel pedicure.The manager, SHANNON, this burly blonde lady who clearly doesn't know how to manage her own mood swings--much less an entire nail salon--was at odds with the nail technician who was tasked with doing my manicure. They had a verbal disagreement where Shannon scolded the technician because she had set up her manicure materials in front of a woman who had arrived half an hour after I had. When I spoke up to attempt to correct the situation and alert them to the fact that I only had 20 minutes before I had to leave, the technician ignored me and proceeded to start the other woman's manicure. Shannon turned a blind eye and did nothing to manage this issue. I was livid.My nail technician finished my pedicure about 5 minutes after this and ran to the back to grab somebody to try and remedy the situation. Then emerged the beautiful Regina, a well-dressed and soft-spoken Asian woman who apologized profusely as she began to work on my manicure as efficiently as she could with only 15 minutes to spare. I disappointedly reminded her that I was about to run out of time and would prefer to go elsewhere for my manicure. Regina revealed her role as the OWNER of the salon and pleaded with me to accept her apology for the situation with Shannon. She then gave me her card and asked me to return at my next convenience for a free gel manicure on her.Today, five days after that disaster of a first appointment, I returned for my manicure. Regina took care of me HERSELF and even went so far as to include several extra layers of gel without any extra cost. As somebody who works in the retail industry, I can appreciate great customer service. Regina truly knows how to run a business and I can tell that her customers are her first priority! Plus, my nails are the perfect shape and I've received nonstop compliments.Though my first impression of Vernis Sage was tainted due to Shannon's lack of interpersonal and managerial skills, I would return simply for Regina's sweet spirit and knack for customer happiness.One star became FIVE STARS, solely due to Regina's quality of service and business savvy.
