My mom and I have been coming here several years. They treat my mom, especially, like family. Tina will share her home cooked lunch with my mom, or offer some fruit from her tree. My mom has come to think of all the ladies at Unique like family. Don't get me wrong, she also loves the vast array of nail art designs available. She especially appreciates that when Tina learns a new technique, she will explain what she is doing to my mom.I'm more about business when it comes to my nail salon. I keep my nails about 1.5-2 inches past my finger, and am very particular about who I will let give me a fill. Nancy is the ONLY person I let touch my nails. And she is an amazing artist. She always hand paints my nails- and imagine with a surface that big, how long it can take her. But she always does a great job. I also appreciate that they stand behind their work. I don't have a crack often ( 3 times in all the years I've come) but Nancy always takes the time to fix it up. I'm not local, work 50+ hours a week and go to school, but it's worth it for me to make the time to come once a month for the artistic work I get. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Everyone is so nice here!!  They are super friendly and greet you when you come in! You feel so welcomed, I always look forward to getting my nails done here! And their nail designs are AMAZING!! They are super talented and can do anything--like seriously any design. Great affordable price, and last long! They have so many nail designs for you to choose from, it's really a customized experience! They literally have thousands of options packed into multiple CD cases. While you wait they have sweet treats as well! I've gone to so many places and this is my favorite by far. And everyone is experienced here, you do not need to specifically request anyone because they are all wonderful. I was very happy with this nail spa on my 1st visit. These last 2 times not as much the lady that did my feet both time didn't listen I ask for the design on big toe only. She takes it upon herself to do all toes. And says it's unfair when I explained I don't like it didn't ask for it don't want it. I let Tina talk me into another design which this lady totally screws also. Now 3 days later my Polish is chipping and my small toe is totally miss half of the toe polished. I will give them 1 more fair shot and make sure I don't get the same lady. But as of now very disappointed!!! Read Less

Alright everyone... this place is super legit and AMAZING!  As a guy, I like to get my feet done once a month to get rid of my athletes foot and ashy heels. I choose to come here because of their great service and prices!!! And there great massage chairs. This place was so good that I brought my side piece here too and she loved it!!!!! She got those designs things on it and gel manicure and they had a great price! Kudos to them and Tina. I think I've to every nail place in OC and then, but this is my absolute favorite. I like to get my nails in peace. There's no loud background music. Its not cash only (I  dislike that), plenty of free parking. (I dislike paying for parking) This nail place really lives up to its name...they have a wall filled with UNIQUE designs. Tina ( The Owner) is amazing! I wasn't happy with my Acrylics that were done the day before by a different manicurist ( I'm very picky) and she treated me with so much grace. I felt awful with having to come back in to get them fixed and she went above and beyond to perfect my nails and even gave me a gift card for the next time I came in. I am very satisfied and so happy I gave them a second chance. I am now a life time client and will be referring people to them! I am very pleased with my gel manicure. Jessica did a great job on my nails and I am ready to go right away not worrying about message my polish. All the ladies here are friendly and salon is clean. I love the fact that my manicurist used a sealed bag for the tools. I will come back because I saw they have so many design for toe nails. Read Less

The rudest staff I've ever experienced. extremely pushy And make you feel stupid if you don't pick the most expensive choice on their "pedicure menu". They didn't clean the basin for my friends pedicure after the lady before her, then when I got my pedicure the lady didn't even do a thorough job. Would never recommend this to anyone. Disgusting. Customer service is terrible, they don't clean properly, and are so pushy and rude. They're most certainly talking badly and even laughing about you in front of you. They do nothing to hide it. They are very, very pushy. They are indignant if you don't get designs, or the more expensive services. They didn't clean the pedicure basin before my last appointment. They nick my fingers and have made me bleed several times. Never apologize. They pressured me into getting a leg massage which was ten minutes of her rubbing lotion on my legs and not massaging at all. I've gone three times just because it's so close to my house so I figured I'll just deal with it. I came here on recommendation of a nurse friend because her nails are always so cute and designed. However, I've never been so disappointed. I don't know if it was just my nail technician or the shop.. I asked for a pretty simple gel design from where one nail was different and the rest plain with a picture to show her but she just didn't get it. The nail polish was put on so thick and carelessly, with no care given to the actual manicure part of it. Didn't ask if I wanted my nails trimmed, if I wanted them round or square or anything. She barely pushed the cuticles back and that was IT. It was such a rushed job and they weren't even that  busy. I got a gel manicure and the cheapest/simplest spa pedicure. She even messed up my toenails putting my flip flops on when I was leaving and wiped off the polish smeared to my toe but didn't fix the actual nail. I'm bad at speaking up unfortunately and I already felt like this lady was annoyed so I stayed silent. Leaving the shop, I literally almost went to my other place I go (where the price is $20 rather than $32 for a gel manicure) just to get them to redo the entire thing, I hated it so much. Not only was it so poorly done and thick, but it started chipping on DAY 3. Are you kidding me. I usually have mine for 3 WEEKS and no problems. Such a bummer and disappointment. I'll post a picture. I've been coming here for years.  Every design is done by hand and is truly a work of art. As with any salon, there are techs who are more talented than others but overall the staff is pretty consistent.  My pedicures last forever, they do not water down their polish and the girls are always welcoming.  Not sure what happened with these other reviews but I will say that sometimes you get back what you put out. I really love unique designs and was looking for a nail place that offered more than just flowers. My friend brought me here and I have never gone anywhere else since. They have so many fun designs for every occasion and I get so many compliments on my nails. The ladies there are so nice and they always make sure I am comfortable and offer me coffee or water. I'll start this review by saying that my niece left this nail salon CRYING this morning after being yelled at by 4 adult women because she didn't like her service.The youngest girl working in this salon is obnoxious, rude and just plain disrespectful. I actually had to tell the manager to stop speaking to my niece because she was yelling in her face. We came in for mani pedi's and I picked one of their fancy designs where every nail is different. My niece just wanted a simple gel manicure with a rose on both thumbs and toes. After convincing her to switch from the black color she wanted to a grey so that the rose would show... the rose came out bad (looked like flames). So she asked her to take it off.That's when everything went horribly wrong.The younger girl said she wouldn't do the rose because my niece wanted it closer to the nail bed instead of on the tip, after she painted her nails in grey gel specifically to do that rose (later she lied about saying that when the we got the manager involved)Speaking of the manager... She charged me $25 for my nieces service and had her girls start removing the polish. While I'm at the register paying this idiotic fee they all converged on my niece and start arguing with her which escalates to yelling. I tell them to speak to me instead and my niece dashes off to a corner because she doesn't want to cry... The awful younger girl actually has the nerve to LAUGH at her!!!Then the Manager wants me to pay more money for the gel nails because I want to get my niece out of there and it takes 30 minutes to get it off. My niece doesn't want them touching her!!! They were just yelling at her.I will never come to this place again. I think I'm still in shock...
