I've been to Sunny Nails twice and I am VERY impressed. I stopped going to my regular salon as this is closer to home and a better atmosphere. Very friendly, organized, & sanitary. They were very friendly but I felt rushed. No attention to detail when doing my nails. A messy job, I had gel polish over nails and on my cuticles. I got gel chrome polish and its already started to chip, hasn't even been 24 hours. When I left and inspected my nails were rough on the edges from a bad filing job and there were areas where there was no chrome polishing!!! She should have just told me she didn't have time to do my nails. I do not think it was worth $25, very disappointed. Read Less

This place is dirty and they don't use clean tools on every customer.  Not to mentioned that my nails were lumpy and uneven. After several good experiences at Love Nails, the most recent was AWFUL so I will not return. Polish uneven and not fully covering the nails. Old nail polish that was "removed" is still visible. I got them done for a business meeting and am having to redo them. Waste of time and money. Read Less

I usually go to The Nail Shop on Grand Avenue but decided to try this place because I was in the neighborhood and didn't want to try to find parking near Grand on a farmers market Saturday. I give Love Nails two stars because they were generally friendly and they got me in quickly. However, it was probably one of the worst mani/pedis I have had in ages. My cuticles are still a mess, there's nail polish all over my skin (even after I asked them to clean it up), and the polish is all bubbly. Sadly, I'm going to have re-do my polish at home. The place is also kind of grungy. In hindsight, I probably should have just turned around and walked out when I noticed that. The cost for a mani/pedi there is $33. It's $26 at The Nail Shop and they do a much better job. I will not be returning to Love Nails. Read Less

I just moved to Lake Merritt/ Oakland area and finding a great nail salon with fantastic service that lives up to my expectations can be challenging. I'm extremely selective and meticulous when it comes to how my nails look.I was referred to Love Nails and have been coming here ever since. They have Amazing service and everyone is extremely sweet and friendly. My girl Amy is an ARTIST when it comes to nails. She always makes my nails look like they came straight from a magazine AD. Went to this salon for the first time, they were very welcoming. Got my nails done, acrylic gel, i love how my nails look, but the lady that did my nails didnt really communicate with me that much, she was quiet the whole time. I was in the neighborhood and called for an appointment because I wanted a mani/pedi close to closing. They took me in despite my running 15 minutes late and were kind about it. I went with regular polish for nails and toes after initially requesting and selecting gels, and again, everyone was nice about it despite me being totally indecisive. I've got to say, this is the longest-lasting standard polish manicure I've ever had. I'm on day 7 today, and I'm just barely chipping at the tips. I'm hard on my hands, do dishes daily without gloves, and am lucky to go a day without chipping. This is kind of incredible. I've added a picture. I was honestly so satisfied with everything. I walked in without an appointment Friday afternoon and only had to wait for ten, maybe fifteen minutes at most. Jenny (the owner) worked fast and did a beautiful job. She made an effort to make me feel like a valued customer, too. I loved the cleanliness and efficiency, it was just what I needed at the end of the week. Also, the price wasn't as high as I expected it to be for a salon on Piedmont Ave. Overall great service and quality for a good price. Will definitely be coming back soon! Read Less

I have been coming here for years and I was so discouraged to learn that recently, customers complained that too much Vietnamese was being spoken here. Customers felt that the staff was gossiping about them and so they asked them to speak less Vietnamese. We live in America, right? The country where you are (supposed to be) free to speak any language you want! I will continue to come here for the excellent customer service & friendly welcoming I get every single time. My nail salon. I love Love Nails. I won't go anywhere else.I've seen a few reviews on here that criticize the wonderful ladies who work there for speaking to each other in Vietnamese. The women who work at Love are always lovely, the service is great, and the quality of their work is wonderful. Anyone who takes issue with them talking to each other in Vietnamese is racist, and should go elsewhere for their manicures, because these awesome ladies shouldn't have to deal with any asshole customers.I've been going here for years and they do a fantastic job EVERY time. Just left from my first time there! I got a gel manicure and a deluxe pedicure (lavender scented) and I will definitely be back! She did a super job with ny nails and i got everything i asked for. My feet were very dry and my heels were cracked, and she spent the time to buff the cracks out and make sure my feet looked amazing. The polish did not go all the way to the sides or down to the inside of the nail, jagged nails...sharp on edges (some filed, some not, some round tips, some flat), polish was thick and glunky applied. The cuticles were also not properly dealt with. My nails are long and healthy so the un-even cutting was not to work around anything. I paid $20. for the pedicure and tipped $5.00 by habit. When I got home I could not believe how poorly my nails were done. I had to file them myself and redo my own nails with polish at home. I will never go back. Read Less
