disclaimer: I have been to this salon before and had a decent experience.However, this was my latest experience: I had made an appointment on a Tuesday for two pedicures on the following Friday. The lady on the phone told me they were booked but to come at noon anyway and we would only have to wait 10-15 minutes. Fine.Fast forward to Friday, we show up at 1130. What appears to be the head boss lady, is getting HER OWN toes done. There are 3 chairs available. She tells us to find our nail polish and take a seat in the waiting area. Meanwhile, two other women come in for pedis, pick their color and are PROMPTLY SEATED in two of the available seats, while my friend an I are ignored. After 10 minutes, I asked when we would be seated. The boss lady (still sitting in a pedicure chair, waiting for her toes to dry) informs us that since we had a noon appointment, we won't be seated until then. This made zero sense to us. Love my ladies Natalie, Tao and Lynn!I come two - three times a month and they are great every time. The massage you get with the shellac manicure and or shellac pedicure is much longer than usual and amazing! I keep begging them to offer massages. I love that they do only natural nails here and you do not have to hear the machines or smells from acyrilic fake nails. They never rush you (even at closing) and are so friendly and welcoming and always ask how you are, your family, work etc. and its genuine compared to a generic and rhetorical "hello, how are you". This place is amazing! I came here last minute because I needed to get my nails done for a wedding. I'm so glad I found them on Yelp. Lynn is my favorite! Pros: -no nasty nail shop chemically smells -they only pain on natural nails (could be a con for some) -decent massage chairs -decent shoulder and hand massage Cons: -lack a lot of dark colors -long waits if you don't go right when they open -no reservations -pricey $$$ (they raise the prices quite frequently it seems)I go here only when I feel like splurging on myself. The gel manicures last 2+ weeks without chipping. The regular pedicure polish also last ~2 weeks. The ladies there are nice and speedy. I always love my experience when I visit! I typically get a mani/pedi combo, and my polish always lasts at least a week with no chips. My sister has asked me several times if I have a gel manicure because my polish last so well. They are efficient, but I never feel rushed. I appreciate the high quality products that are used. I usually bring my own polish since I have a pretty big collection, and want to be able to touch up if there are any chips (which I still have never had), but they have Essie, OPI, Butter London, and Zoya polish to choose from. The salon doesn't reek of chemicals like many others do. Highly recommend if you want a more "green" nail experience, without many of the distractions they typically occur at lower end salons.Also, I've been a few times with my boyfriend who is a lot more picky/demanding than your average customer, and they've been very accommodating. When we've asked for specific things like cutting nails lower, getting an itty-bitty piece of skin that's almost unnoticeable removed that was missed, scrubbing calluses more, a longer massage, pushing cuticles back instead of cutting, etc. we've never had any issues. My husband and I went in for our first ever pedicure yesterday. We took my very pregnant SIL as a pre-baby treat. We were highly impressed with the service we received. I had made an appointment, so I cannot speak for walk-ins, but we were in our (massage) chairs less that two minutes after we picked out our polish. This was an incredibly relaxing experience that I will happily repeat here on a monthly basis. Found my quick go to salon because the other salon only accept appointments. The staff here was lovely and the inside decor was cute and clean. They did a fabulous with my mani/pedi and it surprised me that my service included a wonderful massage that happened to help take away the kink in my neck!the only thing I didn't like was that the yelp page said it closed at a certain time but the two ladies that worked on my sister and I both gave us two more different closing times. So happy! Finally found MY SALON- thanks to my roommate ;) I went to get a mani/pedi on 1.21 and had a great experience. Gel nails and "pixie dust" on my toes. They didn't have the color I wanted available (in gel) but my nail tech asked if she could make her own. I said absolutely! They look beautiful. I'm soo satisfied! I've been going to Le Soleil every month for the past year to get basic mani-pedis, and it's always great. I think everyone on staff has done my nails, and they are always friendly and careful. I come here for my nails because I know they will do good work every time, but it was my facial with Tam yesterday that inspired me to finally write a review. I got a 60-minute facial for $90, and it was the best I've ever had. I hadn't had a facial in a few years, mostly because the cost can be so prohibitive and there's usually pressure to purchase expensive products on top of that. Plus, extractions can be so unpleasant. Why would I want to pay over $100 to be uncomfortable?None of those things was an issue with Tam. She started the process by making sure I was warm and comfortable. Then she went to work on my skin, using soothing treatments by Sothys. Never once did she comment on the flaws in my complexion or try to promote one of the products she was using. We were both quiet while she worked, and it was very relaxing. She was even gentle with the extractions! The facial also included a neck, shoulder, and head massage which was divine.Afterward, she thanked me and wished me a good day. That's it! No pressure to buy a $50 night cream or whatever. This is already my regular nail spot and I love the ladies and the service they provide. I created a Yelp account right now just so I can gush over how well they took care of me days before my wedding. My (now) hubby and I planned to elope and we gave ourselves only days to get it together. I called to see if they could fit me and let them know what it was for. Oh, my goodness when I got in there they pampered the heck out of me. They got my nails and toes in order and everyone at the shop was "oooh-ing" and "aaaah-ing" over the my nails. I type a lot for so I like to keep my nails short. They ladies did a great job on my white gel manicure and my spa pedicure. Weeks later, my (white) nails are still intact and my feet are still soft. Great service! I feel so amazing after I had my deluxe pedicure. The staff was super friendly and I think their prices are amazing. All organic and no harsh smells inside. The first thing I noticed on entering was the distinct absence of a polish smell. That alone is worth the price of a mani-pedi ($36) at this place! They took me half an hour before closing, when I very much expected that they might tell me they wouldn't do my service so close to closing. Bonus for the friendly attitudes and quality work at the end of a long day. The shoulder massage was fantastic, and everything was very clean. (I also got to see them scrubbing everything down before closing -- and I do mean everything)!A tip about tipping: they prefer cash (of course) but will add a tip to your service if you use a card. Love this place! The technicians are friendly and attentive. My sister had a ripped nail and her technician was very careful in patching it up. We even had a nice little hand and shoulder massage post-mani.The place is nicely decorated, clean and spacious. I never had nails that would stay strong and not break. Since I have been going to Nail Fashion Update, I have my own nails and they are strong and they don't peal back in layers.
