Judy is awesome. I always went for a mani/pedi and she always did a perfect job on my pedi. The problem was always with the mani. The first time the woman cut me when trimming my cuticles. The next two times the polishing wasn't good -- Didn't cover entire nail (including going down to the cuticle which is one of my biggest pet peeves). The third time I went the mani was so bad another person had to re-do it but she rushed and didn't do a very good job either. This place also respects appointments (which u pretty much have to have) which is great and if they're too busy when a walk in comes in they turn them away. I wanted to like this place, I really did. The ladies were so sweet and I was going to give a 3 star rating for the pedicure alone. However the gel manicure was too messed up to qualify for a 3.I wanted a clean "diagonalish" French manicure (you'll understand when you see the picture). The woman who did my nails didn't use any special tools, just a brush. Initially I was okay with it, thinking to myself the next time I come I'll just ask for a simple gel manicure instead. However, upon looking more closely at my nails, I see that dust has gotten into some of them and will stay there until the gel is removed. There are also air bubbles. Furtermore, when the woman was shaping my nail into coffin-shape, she failed to file one pointy part of my pinky nail. I had to go back home and shape it myself because the pointy part would have annoyed me to no end. It turned out to be $50 dollars total instead of the expected $43 though the nails are botched. So far both times I have been I LOVE this place. Although there are a ton of nail salons in the Oakland and Bay Area, it took me about 4 different nail places until I was happy and found this one. It's a hidden gem. They do a wonderful job and the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely keep going back! I posted pictures of both nail job from each time I went. I've gone to other places around Oakland and Alameda, and have not been to a place that's done as good as a job with a solid price to go along. This place is not the most spectacular in terms of looks but i really didn't mind because it's clean and the service was amazing. I have been trying to find a GOOD nail salon in the Oakland area at no avail until now. I got a full set as the last place totally messed up my natural nails and the girls did an AMAZING job I was totally happy. Came here a while back and have finally decided to write a review. I made an appointment for my sister and I, we both got pedicures and I got a full set. The pedis were a bit too short for my liking but they were really good! And the girl who did my acrylic nails was great and fast! The prices were fair for the service we received! I have been coming here for 3+ years now and still have not found a place that matches up to their quality and customer service. I have stayed with this salon through a move to Redwood City and then another move to Dublin - basically it's worth traveling for!The customer service is great. This is the first place I have been to that has. No qualms in telling customers they are fully booked (when they are), rather than telling you to grab a seat and have you wait over an hour under the guise of 20 minutes.They also take their time. Often I am here for well over an hour to get my manicure/pedicure done, and it's because they care. They aren't just rushing through following rote motions. They pay attention to the state of your hands and feet and make sure they take care of you.Ever since I have had my baby, I have had an awful issue with my thumb nails always chipping on the side about halfway down the nail. It's a pain in the arse, and it makes cutting/filing/shaping my thumb nail an absolute beast. Whomever here is doing my nails always checks in to see what we should do with that nail before starting to work on it, and I appreciate it, because it's pretty painful.I haven't had a gel mani/pedi before, so I can't comment on that, but my toe nails hold up really well with the work this team does, my fingers only last about a week before chipping, but that's more on my lifestyle than anything else. My wife and I have been on the hunt for a go to place to get our nails done since we moved to Oakland 2 years ago.  We thought we found it, but then it closed for renovations.A quick scan of Yelp lead us to All About Nails and we could not be happier.  The women that work there are super nice and they do an amazing job.  The price is also fantastic.  A Mani/Pedi combo for less than $30.00The exterior is nothing to write home about, but the salon itself is clean and very comfortable.Appointments are strongly recommended. I asked for a manicure & they looked at me like I was crazy & shook their head, said they didn't have any openings & I had walked a mile (with a bad foot) to get here. I called All About Nails on Saturday afternoon to schedule an appointment for a gel manicure and pedicure. I was confirmed for an appointment at 4:30 PM. I arrived about 20 minutes early, but Tu (I believe that was her name) started my pedicure 5 minutes later. I was already impressed!Another very friendly woman (sorry for forgetting your name!) began my manicure about halfway into my pedicure. Both women really took their time with the mani and pedi, and I felt like they genuinely cared about me. I've had so many bad experiences at nail salons. All About Nails, however, did not disappoint me.My hands and feet look beautiful and are soft. The cost of both services combined was $43, sans tip. You know a salon is good when they are pretty much booked the entire day on a random Wednesday! I called first thing in the morning and was lucky enough to be squeezed in for a mani-pedi at 10:30. After working 12 hour days for 45 days straight, my hands and feet really needed this, so I was very grateful!One thing that I really appreciated was the cleanliness and efficiency of the place. While others worked, someone was answering all the calls and sweeping and cleaning the feet tubs after every use. These ladies clearly have a great system and are on top of everything! I never get mani and pedi before until i came with a friend to this shop. We both had just pedicures but then we tried what they call their special pedicure.. oh my gosh it was awesome. I got the milk & honey treatment and the scent was imaculous. i am hooked and i go there every 2-3 weeks now.
