This place is atrocious, i hate it, the wait time is unbelievably long and they do not have a decent bone in their body. I've been waiting for 30 minutes and they didn't even ask if i was waiting for someone or if i wanted my nails done. They don't even do the nails right I just came because it was close but obviously i was in the wrong for coming. I was sitting in the store and I called them to see how long the wait time was and they sent me to voicemail!! I cannot believe they had the AUDACITY to send me to voicemail. 10/10 do NOT recommend. If you ever had eyelash extensions before you know they're not supposed to look like this. Jenny glued the lashes on to my friend's skin, no matter what glue, what type of eyelash, nothing is ever supposed to be glued directly on the eyelid. These were stabbing my friend in her eye and caused corneal abrasions. The removal process took over an hour. A proper removal process is only supposed 30 minutes to an HOUR FOR A JUNIOR 1  STYLIST. This process was very painful for her and the process isn't supposed to be painful. The condition was completely incorrect, the degree in the store was 80 when eyelash glue is supposed to be stored in 68-72 degrees AT ALL TIMES or the glue goes BAD AND SHOULD NEVER BE USED, ESPECIALLY ON THE EYES. Kim refused to reimburse her. When asked for MSDS (material safety data sheets) and PSDS (product safety data sheets) papers, Kim and Jenny said they didn't know what i was talking about and pointed to their "licenses". It was hard take off the lashes and painful all the way through when it should have barely stung for five seconds and had the lashes slide right off. These weren't even on for the entire 72 hour period in which they're fragile and prone to falling off if improperly cared for. DO NOT GO HERE. We are taking legal action Read Less

My boyfriend and I needed pedicures and we are sooo happy with Kims Nails!!! We set up our appoinment for 7pm and they close at 730 and still took us. Very happy and friendly and talkative. Horrible service went in to get pedicure, fill and eyebrow wax at 10am. Owner told me to go back in at 12pm. So i went back she had again sit and wait. After 30min had me go in sit a the spa area for an hour. She was taking other people in doing eyelashes, nails and pedicure. Never told me to wait. I used to go here when I was younger and they did fine. Got a fill for the first time in probably 7 years and they did a horrible job I had to go home and re-polish them myself. My sister went and got her nails done here. Didn't take long and the acrylic polish is poorly applied. $28 for some poorly done nails. Like come on, we all can paint nails nicely! Mostly always on point but this last time my matte job was off and a nail was shaped awkwardly. Great customer service,sweet,personable,clean,cheap and attentive. My homegirl gets her nails done here and when I came with her to get mines done, I had the owner do my acrylic full set with designs. I have photos. She spent a lottt of time filing my nails to do a coffin shape and also smoothing out my nails. HOWEVER!!! She did not do any sort of coffin shape, and the shaping was so bad, there's air into nails, there's roughness on my nails, on top of all that my design and diamonds weren't even. She did one hell of a crappy job. I asked her during the service how long she's been doing nails and she said 30 years. I would rather drop $50 on my nails to get it right than pay $28 for this shit. I always come here every 2 weeks to get my pedi done with Amy I love her she's very patient with me I'm so picky with my colors n she understands . She makes me feel comfortable. I will not even give this place a star at ALL!So, I went to Kim's Nails to get my eyelashes done, and no, I didn't have an appointment, but she said she would take me in 30mins. so, I said okay. I was with my sister, so she decided to get her a pedicure . I went to my car to sit, because of nail smell. My sister said you better get in here, so I went in and lady was finishing up. As I wait the old lady that sits in the front said, "you might have to come back tomorrow I said I don't want to come back tomorrow you said you do my nails my eyelashes in 30 minutes and she said okay maybe I'll charge you extra and I said no how you going to charge me extra  to get my eyelashes done. It's only $25. I am not paying extra. You told me 30 minute.  I didn't like how I was being hustled so I looked at my sister and I said come on let's go so we left.Decided to try to give them another chance so I went back to Kim's nails on Elkhorn Boulevard this time before I went I made an appointment for 4 o'clock I was there at 3:50 ok pm when I got there with my daughter (and if you look at it I was bringing them business my daughter so that's two people I bought in )we walked in and they looked at us and we sat down and they looked at us they never said anything to us so we set there for like about a good 15 minutes then a white woman walked in I kid you not! the first thing they did they said oh how may I help you and me and my daughter looked at each other I said you better let them know you're here they seen us looking at each other and confused and they said is there something that you want and my daughter said we have a4 o'clock appointment and the old lady in the front again said oh I didn't know I made a mistake and so I said okay we going next because there was already somebody in the other room so the next thing you know the white woman was going to the back and I was sitting there saying how I made an appointment 4 o'clock why aren't I going as you can see I keep saying white woman because I'm a black woman and I didn't want to put race into it but what else could it be oh yeah it could have been greed too I'm sorry I left that out cuz you know how Asians are greedy book all these appointments then want extra money hustlin you because they are overbooked and got to stay longer.So if you ask me I will say no, don't go and if you did don't go back to Kim's nails Don't go back at all.  I mean i brung two people in and I brung my daughter in to get her nails done.Because they had already put the tips we stayed, or she would've walked out with me.So, like I said, I'm not going to even put a star  cuz its not worth putting the star. I used to come here a lot when I lived in Sacramento until I moved to Marysville. The ladies in here are very sweet and always smiling. Jenny was the girl who did my eyebrows and she was amazing. I still can't find anyone who does the job as well as her. Kim was pretty good too but I always asked for Jenny if she was available. I only got my nails done here a couple times and both times I didn't like the way they looked, pedicures were better but really the main reason I came was for waxing. Three stars because the salon itself is very outdated and not as clean as most others. The carpet is pretty gross looking and the mirrors everywhere are just really weird. It kinda looks like the 70s threw up all over the place. Even though I really do like the ladies in here I think that this place is a little below average not only on decor but the quality of their work when it comes to nails. Read Less

Went in for a gel manicure. A big chunk of the nail polish chipped off the same day (about four hours after the manicure). The color was not uniform, with bubbles and was very streaky. The owner (Kim) did my manicure and was very sloppy. The clear coat was all over the surrounding skin of my nails and she didn't let the coats stay under the UV light very long, so they were still mushy and soft after I left. Been coming here for years, I still remember coming here for my nail first job in middle school. I did stop getting my nails done because I can't deal with the maintenance of nails, plus as a nursing student I can't really have long pretty and painted nails! But this review is more specifically about their eyebrow waxer, JENNY! She's amazing! I remeber coming to her with my over tweezed non existent eyebrows before and she shaped them into 2 beautiful arched eyebrows! And now I routinely come in. She's truly a master of her craft. Fair warning, she does have a very large cliental, if you don't come at the right time you will find yourself with 5 other people waiting for her alone. My technician was very friendly. However, they didn't have much selection of gel colors and my gel manicure chipped within TWO days. She definitely rushed through it, obviously. I waited my fair share of time to get my nails done, and I shouldn't be rushed because there are a couple of people waiting. Great prices and great service! I've tried other nail places closer to my house (Rocklin) but my nails will fall off in two weeks. Here they almost complete take the old layer of acrylic or gel off so it's like you're getting a new set each time.  My nails last at least three weeks. Very happy with their skills. Well, I had gone to this place before and was happy to return. BUT this second time I went, they kept telling me 'one minute, one minute"... about 20 minutes later, they were finally ready to do my nails. And right as I went to walk back to the chair, a freaking ROACH crawled over my foot and I was wearing sandals!!!!!! I RAN out of there and WILL NOT be returning. Ive been in there many times and the only lady I would let do my nails again is Tina she is a perfect angel very kind and considerate about what the customer wants.As for the owner I had the displeasure of having her mess up my nails and she didnt even take delivery infact she told me my nails look unfilled when I came in and made excuses as to why she didnt do my nails properly. Then was told it was fine for her to clump the nail polish underneath the gel overlay and it would even out on its own..lol Where did this woman go to school at?  Everything she told me was incorrect. Then she discounted the price trying to convince me I was wrong about my nails looking bad. What really made me angry was she kept turning to a lady behind me and making comments not in english thinking I wouldnt understand he saying I was being picking and didnt understand what she thought would look better. Then she told her again that I was being silly and must not pay attention to my own nails.  What I find most frustrating is when someone assumes all white people are just english speakers and cant understand anything but english..    Maybe you should learn english lady and maybe you would get a clue yourself about customer service.So I told her to forget it that I would go home and fix my nails since she wasnt going to and she said well if you didnt like it I will fix it but, at her but comment I said no what do I owe you. So I gave her the money and left . I felt like I paid her to mess up my nails.
