Went here for the first time on Monday. Amy worked on my nails which were a disaster. I have a disorder that makes my nails misshapen and pitted and she was able to make them look absolutely normal and beautiful for the first time in 20 years!! I am absolutely thrilled with the dip type manicure that she did for me. Just walked in this place this morning across the street from our hotel. Amy and her assistant were so helpful, professional, friendly, and great at doing our pedicures.  They told us they are recently under new management, too.  If we are ever in this area again, we will definitely be stopping by this salon. I tried this place out since they offer the Dip Powder and I have been disappointed with my usual place recently. Nu Nails did a fantastic job! They were so thorough in their work and made sure to explain every step they made before they made it. My goal was for these to last me 3 weeks without having to come back in and they did just that! Really clean and the ladies are nice. My manicurist was careful to shape my nails the way I like them. I got a couple of nicks but that happens a lot with my skin. I got the dipping manicure which was interesting. Takes a tiny bit longer than a normal gel, which I will probably get next time instead. We'll see how long this one lasts. Overall good place. This place has been remodeled.  The new management is great.  The girls speak very good English.  My hands are quite sensitive and many manicurists hurt me and nick my cuticles.  Not here!  The product selection is excellent.  I had a new set with dipping powder done here about 8 weeks ago.  My nails held up very well.  This is my 3rd visit (1 new set and 2 fills).  This time I also tried their waxing.  It was virtually painless.  I won't be going anywhere else!  I highly recommend. I've been browsing around for the perfect nail salon for a while, and I think I found it with this new spot that recently opened. Not only were the ladies super sweet, attentive and a great vibe but they did a beautiful job and really took the time and care to make sure I loved what I was getting. I stumbled across this nail salon from a groupon. Both ladies were very nice and professional with their recommendations. I tried the new organic dipping gel that looks and feels great. The only recommendation is to incorporate hot towel wraps with their pedicure treatments. I will definitely return! Read Less

I stopped by Nu Nails around 4:30 PM after I saw that they now do acrylic and SNS nails! I usually do acrylic with gel but wanted to try the SNS since I've heard it's better for your nails. I was pleasantly surprised that they had so many different colors! I also liked that the glitter shows up a lot better with SNS than gel nail polish. Katie did a really good job, and was very accommodating. I don't know Total I paid $35 for the SNS powder + $10 for the nail tip since my nails were too short + tips. Would definitely come again! Had a wonderful manicure and pedicure today by Amy at Nu Nails. Back story: during the Christmas holidays, I was in town and happened across Nu Nails after another nail salon up the street treated me rudely as a new client walk-in. I left...and am so grateful I did as I found NuNails just a hop-skip-jump away. Today I stopped by and WOW! Nu Nails has remodeled and looks lovely, although still very comfortable, relaxing and unassuming. Amy was very pleasant and again, did a wonderful job. I agree with others about how clean the salon is as cleanliness is very important to me. And, they have free parking in the back. Fuck it up Katieeee. My nails be cute thanks to you.  They didn't come out lumpy, bumpy, or crusty, always appreciated. Okay so this place does have its own FREE parking lot, but the only entrance/exit is from a narrow alleyway facing the PCH. Now, price breakdown from what I got. $45 for the sns with tip extension and color, and it was an extra $5 because I got stiletto shape. My first time here, my regular place was booked, not to mention it's not close to home, and I was in desperate need of a fill and a pedicure. This place is close to home and the reviews and pics seemed cool so I thought I would give it a try. So so so happy!!! The attention to detail here was amazing.
