I had to bring my daughter with me to Nail Chic to get my nails done. They told me I can't bring her inside, there just wasn't any space for her to play and that it may bother other clients. Love this place! Both Michelle and Nina are my go-to's here. After going to several different place I finally found a place that I LOVE. They never fail to amaze me at their consistency, always great and perfect. Not one bump in my nail, they are always straight and they pay close attention to detail. I generally make appointments when I go here but last time I didn't I just showed up and thankfully they took me in right away. They take the time to get to know you, they ask about you, customer service is great  and they always remember what I get done. They get pretty busy but they do manage to accommodate you, if you need to have your nails done at 7 am on a Saturday you can! Truly amazing I don't think that I'd ever go anywhere else. I usually do coffin shape with a matte finish and my daughter gets a standard little girl nail color. My cost is usually around $45 and come in for a color change and fill every 2 weeks, they don't do then too thick which is great Read Less

The cheapest kind of gel manicure. When they put gel separate and then color, it doesn't last even for a week. I told Cindy, the nail lady and she agreed. Go to other places where gel is in the nail colors. That lasts for 3+ weeks. This manicure I did yesterday and today it is chipping away. Really really poor quality and owner does know it. Read Less

I have been going to Nail Chic for 12 years and I still get amazed with the job that they do! I have had my nails done by Michelle, Cindy and now I consistently go to Lynn. I have always left happy and with no complaints! I can't recommend this place enough and I have encouraged all of my friends to do here and while I 100% recommend going to Lynn (she is seriously amazing), you will not be disappointed with going to any person who works here! I have gone to this place twice so far.  Michelle and Mai are great but sadly I had Hailey do my manicure this last time. As you can see by the picture, she does not do a great job. Lot's of technicians onsite, always able to take our group of 3-4 as well as a toddler.I've had the gel on my natural nails, I don't think I'll be doing that anymore, they peeled off really quick (within a few days) I had Hayley and Michelle do my mani(s) They're always quick and done right!Nina has given me my long and much needed pedicure. I was warned by my roomie that it's done in a bucket, not a massage/pamper chair. I figured it doesn't hurt to try since I haven't had a pedicure in a while. "the bucket" doesn't sound as glamorous, but you get the whole she-bang. The scrub, the massage and lotion, all there :) and it's much more convenient to get your mani done at the table.Down side, there's as fee to use visa/mastercard. Also, when doing the mani/pefi, your body will be contorted uncomfortably so that both can be worked on simultaneously.Price wise, it's actually pretty decent! mani/pedi natural nails it's $35. I have been a loyal patron of this nail salon for years and seen it go through the highs and lows. It went from a small, cramped shop to a open spacious salon when they expanded. I have just decided to write this review because not many people know about this precious gem in Newark and it saddens me to know that this salon is not recieving the kind of business that it deserves. I truly enjoy every single person that works here and have been so happy to see them come so far with their business. If you are looking for a top notch nail salon then look no further---Nail Chic is the perfect place for you. I've been going here for several years now and Nail Chic has undergone some changes through the years and I can genuinely say that it has been for the best. This family owned nail salon treats you great and if the fantastic job they do with your nails does not tempt you to keep coming back it is the hospitality and generosity these people have for their customers.
