Do not recommend. Got a set of acrylics 2 days ago and they’re already lifting. The tips didn’t even fit the size of my nail was too small and asked if she could put the correct size and wouldn’t. To top it off I had acrylic debris all over my nails and she did not even bother to clean them up before putting a clear coat of nail polish. Super messy. At the end she kept asking for a tip and I didn’t want to be rude so I told her to put it on my card because I had no cash and she told me to go use the atm to give her cash. First and last time I’ll ever go there. Too overpriced as well and not even worth what they charge. Was charged $35 for an acrylic set but online says it’s $25. My friend came along with me and wanted to change her nail color and they said they were going to charge her $25 when online it says $7. NEVER AGAIN. Read Less

I went and I told the lady I wanted an all white nail and she gave me a white tip, and charged me an extra $10 to fix their mistake. Then they made me use the ATM when there was a working card reader behind the desk. She refused to give me my cash back after I payed her saying that I had to give her and another lady a 10 dollar tip. I keep asking for my cash back and she never have it to me! Just went here and am so mad leaving that I am sitting in the parking lot writing this review. Went in for a fill, was charged $40.00, the nail place up the street I usually go to charges me $30. The shape of my nails are varying and not uniform. She ran her drill over my knuckles on accident causing me to bleed. On top of that the gal made me use the ATM machine to pull out cash when in plain site there was a working card runner at the front desk. I had to pull out $60 cash so I could tip her, and she gave me two $10 bills in return for change, when I asked her for some 5$'s instead, she told me she didn't have any so I was forced to tip her 10$ for this rip off nail job. I went for a basic manicure and to remove my acrylics, the lady yelled at me because she wanted to rip off my acrylics as i had asked for them to be soaked off. She then proceeded to be mad at me because i didn't want gel polish or more acrylics. She then left for about ten minutes and came back and started watching a movie while doing my nails. I wish you could give it a 0 stars. My friend and I both got pedicures. The lady my friend had was extremely rude. She yelled at me because I wouldn't hand her nail polish off of my friends seat when I was already seated and the nail polish was on my friends chair. The worst nail salon I have ever been to for a manicure.My cuticles are poorly trimmed, the nail polish is left messy on my skin, I never even received any lotion or the usual products when given a manicure, and it lasted less than 15 minutes. Not a very "relaxing" activity if you ask me. A bit pricier than the salons in the area, and even after reading the negative reviews on here I decided to give it a shot as it looked really nice! I will never go back. When I handed my card to the lady to pay, she just stared at me and then instead I started to pull out cash and she pointed to the ATM. I said oh, I don't have much cash so I was trying to pay with my debit card to which she responded with what about my tip? Incredibly rude and confusing. In the past (I'm talking a couple years ago) I came here every few weeks to get my nails done and I had a beautiful experience every time no issues whatsoever. Today was my sisters 16th birthday and she wanted to get hers and her best friends nails done as a gift from me to them. I dropped them off with money and went to go run my errands. We told them we just wanted to get them manicures they kept trying to push pedicured multiple times after I had CLEARLY said they just wanted manicures. It was also VERY hard to communicate with the guy at the counter he had no idea what I was talking about or how to answer my questions. Any other nail salon I've been to I haven't had such and issue with a language barrier. For a business like this you should really be able to communicate with your customers. When I left they were sitting on the couch in there waiting to be helped. Next thing I know I get a call (mind you this is about a half hour after I dropped them off, and there was only one other lady in front of them) saying that they had skipped over them multiple times to help other customers that came in AFTER. So we left and will be taking any future business to somewhere ANYWHERE other than La Vie and I advise you all to do the same! Read Less

Had to have been the worst pedicure experience I've had- ever. Made an appointment for 4:15, got finally seated at 4:50 and received a rushed pedicure. After less than 15 minutes the technician then got up and left with not even a thank you or me even knowing she was done so I sat there. At 5:15 I asked if she was done and she said yes. I then asked how long the experience should be and she said "30" minutes. I tried to explain that it had barely been 15 minutes before she started getting up and leaving and doing other tasks. She looked at me like I was crazy.Then another technician made it sound like it was my problem that they overcommitted themselves and cut the experience short- what? I know it's easy to overcommit to make up for slow days, but here's a good case where it's not acceptable for someone that planned ahead- and not even offer an apology.Anyways, I got up and went to leave and only then they offered to finish the job which I declined. Why do I have to complain about a rushed experience to only get what I originally asked for?In the end, my feet are not much smoother than they were before I walked in and a moment of relaxation was ruined. The ambiance was nice but it was a busy evening and they accepted every walk-in and by the time I was seated for my mani/pedi, they rushed through the whole thing and would only do one thing on one side and skip the other side in order to hurry me out the door. I was a regular at La Vie nail salon. I liked the convenience of a walk in mani-pedi, and the massage chairs. As they began to recognize me all the ladies were very nice to me, and would go the extra mile to give me a longer massage and let me sit in the massage chairs while my mani-pedi dried. This February 2017, after having my first baby in January, I stole away for a quick self pamper hour. I went to La Vie for a mani-pedi. I have been paying for it with pain, doctors bills, and regret ever since and it's now June 2017. I had never received a pedicure from one of the men before...I think he might be an owner or a manager.?. In any case, during the pedicure he was cutting my toenails and dead skin away to the point I felt a little pain and discomfort. I don't remember if I said anything, but I really wish I did. Since that pedicure, I have been on two rounds of antibiotics for staph infection and have spent over $800 in podiatrist bills for multiple chronic ingrown toenails, something I had never had before going to La Vie nail salon. I have been in immense pain. I started walking funny because of my toe pain and now have Achilles tendinitis, which is extremely painful. I wish I could post a picture because you would never go to this salon if you saw my toes and experienced agony I've had to go through...all while taking care of my first newborn baby!!! This foot pain has been an extra struggle, during a hard enough time, as a new mom. What that man did to me, really messed my feet up. I currently have another painful ingrown toenail starting again on a toe I thought the podiatrist was able to help...I will be back at her office again this week paying another $55. Co-pay to have her cut my toenail again so it will hopefully grow out right. I have 4 toes currently with irritation, and pain from ingrown toenails due to the way this man cut my nails. Gel manicure started peeling off after 2 days and when I returned to show them they were condescending and accused me of ruining my manicure. I wish I could give it more than one star but this was awful. The worst mani/pedi experience I've ever had... We had an appointment and they took all the walk ins first. They didn't start our nails until 45 mins after the appointment time was scheduled. The polish was left thick and clumpy... too thick to dry and then smudged. The manicurist complained because it was an hour beyond close... had they started on time that wouldn't have been an issue. Then at the end she had the audacity to ask for a TIP!!!! Wow! I walked in and asked if there was an opening for a pedicure. In my luck there was! Very clean and relaxing spot. Very fast and efficient. The lady doing my toes (Amy or Emmy? I was skeptical about visiting this salon because of the many many negative reviews, but I decided to give it a try because it's close to where I live and, according to their website, their prices seemed good. Turns out all of the reviews are correct and this place is TERRIBLE. First of all, the prices are NOT as listed. I asked for a full set of acrylics with gel polish, and when I went to pay for this, the woman asked for $50, a price that isn't even on their menu. When asked to clarify, the woman explained that you have to add $20 for gel to any manicure... which not only doesn't make sense, but also is stated no where on the price list. After an upset discussion with 4 of the women and giving them their made up price, another customer had the same problem with being charged the wrong amount. The whole experience screamed SCAM. Meanwhile, my manicure was mediocre at best. I asked for almond shaped nails; the woman had no idea what I was talking about. She went so fast that a nail actually snapped off (ouch) when she was almost finished. She picked it up off the floor and glued it back on. I didn't look at the nails too closely before walking out because I was so preoccupied with the price discrepancy, but when I got to the car and looked at them, I wanted to cry. They were so crooked and uneven, and one of my thumbs was so messed up, the gel had bubbles under it and looked terrible. I meant to take a photo of this thumb to post, but the bubbled gel polish has already peeled off because of how poorly done it was! I stopped in one evening and picked up a price brochure, then made an appt. for a gel pedicure before a vacation. During the pedicure, I was asked 3 times if I wanted a manicure too (annoying). The pedicurist spilled a drop of polish onto the skin of a toe and used a nail file on my skin to remove it - ouch! Even the manicurist at the next station made a face about that. I was happy with the pedicure, however, when she said it was $45 I couldn't believe it. I found the trifold brochure which only shows a gel manicure price of $35 - there is no price for the gel pedicure. Got my nails done 2 days ago and they already look like they need a fill , left a small tip because that's what I could afford and shouldn't have even left a tip with how they came out , I see the reviews about them wanting their tips  and their right I find that very rude to pretty much ask for your tip . It was 25 and all I had was 30 she gave me back 5 ones and said I gave you all your change back so pretty much demanding a tip especially by giving me back 5 ones that already saying you expect a tip and after I gave her a tip and paid for my nails she hurried up and painted my nails so fast I have neverSeen someone paint nails that fast she didn't even care how they came out ! The staff was extremely rude to my friend and kept making remarks about how "uneven" her eyebrows were. I don't know why they felt the need to attack her, it was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. They then kept pushing towards us leaving a tip when we were checking out when obviously they were not going to receive one after they basically bullied my friend. Tried this place out today. The manicurist was rough and only friendly to me when it was time for me to tip her. I have multiple cuts on different fingers from her filing my skin. My nails look bumpy. I noticed she got some nail polish on my skin. I tried to scratch it off but it was stuck. I asked her for help, she removed about half of the nail polish and pushed my hand back to me. I wont be back!- I'm not sure how to reply on yelp.. so hopefully you see this! I have been going here for years and overall I am very pleased with this place. Yes, at times I do not get the best service, but in the end I've always liked their work. I mean come on, where else can you go in Napa and just walk in and get service almost right away? I should have listened to the reviews, DO NOT GO HERE. Especially if you are not a local, which was my case. I decided to 'chance it' because they were open early. Bad choice. On arrival the nail technician was very pleasant, once she found out I was from out of town, not another word. I have gel nails, and have been getting my nails done for the past +18 years and did not have time to see my nail lady. When taking off my existing gel nails, I asked her to not automatic drill my nails- she said just the top then we'll soak. NOT what I wanted, if I wanted my nails to be drilled I would have fake nails. When it comes time to work on my nails she proceeds to use the automatic drill to file ALL of my nails- there goes the strength I've been building. THEN pulls out a pencil sharpener box of her tool, NOT steril what so ever (note when she was done working on my hands she put the dirty tools into the same box, presumably for her next client). At no point do I get up to wash my hands. She never uses the big 'fluff brush' to wipe my hands free of debris. Nor does she ever ask if I like the shape of my nails she is filing away, or the color of polish I chose. To top off the experience, the charge is $35 dollars- more expensive than I pay in the Bay Area- the cost was not my issue. My issue was she repeated $35 flat? 5+ times, obviously concerned with a tip. After asking, there is no line for a tip when you use a credit card and she would like a cash tip and then pointed to the ATM located in the salon. I had $3 in my wallet (I usually tip much more but at this point I don't want to tip at all) I say just $35 on the card I have cash for tip. She then says are you sure, use ATM. ARE YOU KIDDING?!? When I hand her $3 folded in half she opens up all $3 dollars, rolls her eyes, and walks away. NEVER in all of my years have I had such a rude, unsanitary, ungrateful nail experience. Read Less

This place has gone way down hill. Today I drove over from another town because I used to get such good service here. But not today!!The color selection for gel was not very good. Then the attendant put me feet in the water for no more than 3 minutes pulled them out cut one nail and started to polish. No removal of any cuticle, no pushing back of the cuticle. Just polish or should I say gel. No massage, no lotion to my feet or legs. Literally a wham bam ma'am now give me $45. I was also there for a manicure. It went the same. A minute in a bowl, then out. Very little cuticle removal, then a quick buff. Oh and I had to stop her as she was using a dirty file on my nails. When I pointed it out she went and got a new one. But she then yanked my hand in protest of having to go get a new file. When I paid I left no tip. The young lady wanted to know why and I told her all I've written here. "Oh I fix" she said. Nope, to late. They had their chance. Also saw them take the dirty dremal tool from the elderly lady next to me who had hecka crusty feet to another lady down the row and start using it without changing the head or anything. Stay away!! It took 15 minutes for the technician to complete a 'premium' pedicure. I have been frequenting nail salons for the last 25+ years. In this time I've had some good pedicures and some bad ones. This, by far, would be in the top 3 of worst pedicures. The facilities are lovely, and located in a convenient area. The service was average. However, the attention to detail (cuticles, dead skin, foot/leg massage) was completely absent. I essentially paid $30 for a foot cleanse and for my toes to be painted. What a complete waste of money. I am all for speedy service, however I also want foot care to be inclued when paying for a pedicure. Not recommended AT ALL. Read Less

I went in for a pedicure and 3 nails to be repaired. Pedi was ok, but I noticed they were not cleaning any foot rubs after a client was finished!!! Then, this guy was really rough doing my nails! I finally grabbed onto his hand and told him, "you are hurting me! Don't hurt me!" He apologized. Then, when he was cutting the tips to shape my nail, he cut my fingertip and I was bleeding everywhere!! He put some 'numbing' stuff on it. I asked if it was an antiseptic because the scissors were NOT sanitized. It would not stop bleeding and I got up told a woman I did not want him working on my nails anymore. I've been coming to La Vie for over 5 years and have also handed out their business cards when some one compliments my nails. I brought my daughter to get her nails done for her Sweet 15. And her nails looked horrible. Uneven and bleeding. The worst I've ever seen. I come back after noticing and ask them to fix them. And they are finding every excuse not to. I tell them I paid for a professional to do her nails. They make the same girl who jacked them up fix them. I ask them to have another person do them and they refuse. La Vie is a very shady business. I went when they first opened and thought it was nice, but I was taken in by the pretty paint and fancy spa chairs. I never should have gone back, but I did. Because they use an ELECTRIC DRILL to file back your cuticles and the files are not fully sanitized between uses you run the risk of get an infection if their inexperienced nail tech's should happen to cut you. Oh, and once they cut you, they just continue on as though nothing has happened. When you bring this to their attention they'll deny any knowledge of the occurance.Another word of advice if you do choose to go.... get the person's name who works on you, because you'll need it when they screw up and hurt you. I don't know why this matters because their names are all made up Americanized names, but just do it.This place is a disaster and should be avoided at all costs!! Read Less

I had gel tips but on. I had to go somwhere else to have them fixed. I thought they were good at first but....uh....no way. When i went to have them fixed, the girl said, you have them done at La Vie? I fix alot from there. My nails are not fully attached to the tip so I have to watch for fungus, the gel had thicker spots, she filed the top of my nail too much so now you see those red lines on the nail bed, AND she wasnt even going to clean up my skin that was stuck in the nail from the glue on almost every nail..but I asked.
