They have an interesting salted cheese drink. It's a milk tea with some creamy savory whipped cheese foam at the top. It's interesting but I'm not sure I like it. Pandan waffle is pretty good. I ordered a large jasmine & taro milk tea. Both had pearls and toppings were lychee bits and mango popping. I find the bowl cups kind of weird looking, but at least it's different. I liked the interior - very clean and spacious. I was sitting waiting for my order. The girl that made the drinks just put them on the counter and didn't even call my name so I had to ask her if these were mine. I thought it was rude and what if it was crowded and I had no idea my drinks were done.After tasting the drinks, I did not like it. This is my favorite place to get boba. Many places I've been to have milk tea that is too watery (cough*teaspoon*cough) or too sweet! This place has so many options and they're always adding more! My favorite drinks are Thai tea w/ boba, white tiger milk tea, and passion fruit milk tea w/ lychee jelly or lychee popping jelly! This little spot tucked away in a strip mall is an amazing place to stop by for a drink, a snack, a game with friends, or just to relax for a minute. They have tons of traditional and more gourmet choices for drinks, snow, and plenty of desserts and snacks. I really enjoyed their pandan waffle. This came out hot and crispy on the outside. It is made with rice flour, so the interior is like mochi. Delicious!! The macarons come in a variety of traditional and more crazy flavors (birthday cake, peach cobbler!). Found this little gem via Yelp and became OBSESSED.Tiger Milk Tea - lovely, mild spice that is delicious with 50% sweetness. Jasmine Milk Tea - ignore the calories and splurge on at least 100% sweet to fully enjoy the fragrant jasmine flavor.Traditional boba is plump but mainly flavorless. Despite my pandan waffle escapades through the Viet jungles of San Jose, how is it possible that one of best is in Mountain View? Sh*t. Wut.The waffle is crispy on the outside, and the chewiest I've ever experienced on the inside. When you tear pieces of it you can see the dough being stretched, like this thing was made of pure tapioca flour... or waffle wonderfullness. And the flavor? Stumbled in here last night after living across the way for some time now. My go to milk tea is usually Jasmine milk tea with the honey boba so that's what I ordered. My bf ordered the earl grey milk tea with honey boba. Both drinks were good and nothing to complain about. Thought that the split cup option is cool. Most of the staff was nice and they even have board games to play, which I thought was good for families or a group of friends. I have been waiting for this location to open and an opportunity to visit.  Came here on Sunday afternoon and it was just the right pick me up on a  hot day.They were running a Mother's Day special, so it was perfect to save me some cash ;) You cannot beat $2.50 for a large milk tea!! I was really pleased with my drink from Tea Zone.I'm usually skeptical about trying bubble tea places, because I'm picky about ingredients used and a little snobby in my preference for fresh milks and teas rather than powders.The four of us got: white tiger milk tea with boba, taro milk tea with boba, coconut snow bubble with boba, and Thai tea snow bubble with boba.Everything was right about my drink (the Thai snow bubble)- good texture of the snow, solid Thai tea flavor, a decent but not overwhelming level of sweetness, and the honey boba were on point.I would definitely come to Tea Zone again. I originally came here for the pandan waffle and fruit tea but I ended up leaving with their milk tea. I got the UNDE EARL tea which is funny because it was suppose to be UNCLE EARL, this is a mixture of earl grey and jasmine tea. Very good. I got mine at 75% which was good enough. They also have the macarons, ice cream and smoothies. I like the variety here and will probably come back again to try other drinks since I did enjoy the uncle earl milk tea. This is by far my favorite boba place. No joke, my friend and I will drive 20 miles to come here. Main reason: pandas waffles Something about their pandan waffles sets it apart from other places (ie bambu). They seem to somehow get everything right. From the texture to the taste, their waffles are comprised of sheer perfection, and I am obsessed. Now don't get me wrong, their boba tea is great as well. I'm not the biggest fan of their specialty fruity teas, but I absolutely love their jasmine. All I can say is, there are well over 15 boba places near me, but I choose to come here. Sweet spot with a very friendly lady who reminds me of buddha with hair.Pandan waffle: Crispy on the outside, smooth mochi texture on the inside. Two fucking dollars for such perfection is a rare find in the silicon bae.Macarons: Compared to the little pretty pucks from Alexander's or Chantal Guillon, the macarons here look lazily spray-painted. This place is super cute and has a variety of trendy snacks, awesome for hanging out or just grabbing something sweet. The only downside is probably its location, which is a little far from Castro st. and other trendy places. Fortunately, the location doesn't seem to affect its popularity -- I always see groups of people here! There's also a little parking lot outside.Here's a review on all of their drinks + food:Bubble tea: Large sizes come in short, fat cups, and you can also get split cup bubble tea if you can't decide between two flavors. Although I'm no bubble tea expert, I like their tea and this is quickly becoming my boyfriend's new fave boba place. Pandan Waffle: The waffles have a mochi texture, much more chewy and stretchy than the one other pandan waffle I've had (which is was more waffley). It's still really good and has that classic pandan green color and flavor. The outside is crunchy, and you can also customize it with a variety of different toppings (i.e. strawberries, nutella, chocolate, etc.)Macarons: The green tea flavor is ALWAYS OUT. I really like the macarons here. Unlike other places, it's chewy and doesn't just melt into sugar when it enters your mouth. My favorite flavor so far is pistachio, and my least favorite is mango. Macaron ice cream sandwich: You can choose two macaron flavors, one for each half of the sandwich and then an ice cream flavor. The macarons are just as chewy as the normal macarons, but larger. This one was a bit difficult to eat, so we just ate the macaron and ice cream separately instead of like a ice cream sandwich. I ordered a Taro milk tea with pearls, it was really good. The place has tiny chairs and tiny tables so it's not really a place to hang out at. Best thing about this place is the split cup option! I'm always very indecisive and love the option to try two flavors in one order. I got the mango flow & lychee lover with lychee jelly which were both pretty yummy. The tea flavor isn't super strong but maybe it's because the fruity flavor stands out more. I was in the neighborhood, and after seeing pictures of their split cup bubble tea - I knew I had to stop by. I think the only place that does this in the Bay Area is Pekoe in San Jose... had high hopes for this place so I won't have to drive 18 miles south next time x)The Good:- Parking! They have a spacious parking lot, so you can swoop in and out w/o a headache.- Relatively inexpensive. the split cup was $4.87 after tax - which is awesome because in Pekoe, they would charge an extra dollar for the unique cup making my drinks $5+- Clean exterior and interior - large windows and some seating options- Non-dairy milk used, so good option for lactose intolerants like my boyfriend or me to an extent... lol- Unique, ice-cream macaroon bar. If I were into things like this like my other friends, I'd go crazy.  The Meh:- I think the cashier was new, so she didn't ask me about sugar/ice levels, she also gave me regular boba when I asked for the clear, honey agar ones (-.5 star*)- very little 'fruit bits' in the fruit teas (see pic for reference). they call themselves a fruit bar, so I expected a bit more - If you've been to Jazen as often as I have for their fruit teas, you'll be a little critical. (-.5 stars*)- Didn't enjoy their fruit teas as much as Pekoe or Jazen. As others have mentioned, it's on the sweeter side, and i found that the combos tasted the same. I would understand if you missed the turn into the parking lot at night. This fairly new shop sits in the corner of the plaza, has about 20 seats, some board games and a hidden aquarium by the bathroom. Cloudy Night and White Tiger Thai Tea are pretty good at 50% sweetness. You MUST get a Pandan waffle. Eat it while you're there. Crisp and chewy. This review is WAY overdue, alas, I made it!Fortunately for me, this place is a 5 minute walk from my house. I have been around the boba block trying teas from all over, East San Jose, Cupertino (the mini mecca of tea), San Francisco, Berkeley. You name the place in the local bay area, I've probably been there, or its on my list! With that said, I'm quite fortunate in having such a cozy, friendly, and delicious place to get tea near my house. I couldn't be happier! I feel like this place is a sleeper when it comes to tea. Not very many people know about it, but should! The place itself is hip, and has good music playing. The tea selection is extensive, and they also have macaroons which aren't too shabby! The customer service is always very friendly. Every single time I've come by, everyone has always been very friendly. The best place to go if you're looking for something fresh and flavorful! They use a variety of fresh fruit cut daily and many different types of jellies to add to your drinks.Many Green/black teas, milk teas, and smoothies to try from. There will be always something you'll definitely like. They also sell macarons, macaron ice cream sandwiches and ice cream.Also a plus, they're giving out complimentary pandan waffles with every drink purchase during their first week of soft opening.The business is still very new so service would be a little slow but please be patient and they'll get into the groove in no time. I wasn't impressed.  The guy behind the counter left his personality home that day and it was so hot inside!  The overall ambiance was fun.  Bright colors and clean lines. Cute. I'd never had Boba or Milk Tea before so I wasn't sure what to order.  I don't like things overly sweet so I ordered something similar to lemonade. My daughter got some sort of milk tea.  Her's was super sweet but she liked it.  It wasn't something I would order.  Mine was disappointing at best. To start, it wasn't cold and the flavor was weird. In short, it's just not for me, but it might be for you!Tea Zone is about half a mile from Santana Row off of Winchester. They have a tiny parking lot that's not well designed as the spaces in the lot are tight. There are two entrances, one in the front and one in the back. If you park in the back, it's of course easier to enter through the back.There are tables that were filled the day we went which was late on a Sunday afternoon. The menu seemed to be your typical menu with the same sizes of regular and large for drinks. What was a little different was the fruit bits that they incorporate in the drinks. They're chopped into small little tiny cubes. I actually did not like it. The boba itself wasn't bad, but the fruit pieces kind of ruined the enjoyment of the drink.
