Kimi has been awesome been going to her for a few months and she's slayed my nails every time.They are pricey to have done. But to me, your paying for quality and you have the option to do fun and trendy "Pinterest" nails.You have to make an appointment with her and book it a few weeks in advance. I just make my next appointment after I finish an appointment that way you don't worry about starting the cycle of not being able to get an appointment.Kay and Kimi and definitely the 2 to see here. My mom and I got a manicure and pedicure for $110 total plus tip. Really unimpressed with the quality of the manicure I received. I got a gel manicure done and had to ask the lady correct a few spots, and my nails still turned out with uneven polish. The manicurists didn't even say hello or even try to have any conversation with my mom or I and I thought that was rude. I came in here the first time only 1.5 weeks ago. I really liked the way the place looked. I give 2/5 because 1. It is expensive. I have never been to a place that charges extra for shaping your nail when getting acrylics. I'm used to places being between $20-$25, not $43 for acrylics. I was given gel nails, which bumped it up $10, which is crazy. The guy who did my nails did really good though, but I won't ever pay $43 for nails again, especially since there wasn't anything special to them like decoration. 2. Only 2 DAYS after getting my nails done, one tip had snapped off. All I did was open a box, I didn't even use my nail to open it. I went in the next day to get it fixed and was almost charged but I refused because it had only been two days. Then, today, one week and 3 days after getting them done, I had picked up my blanket and my thumb nail tip snapped off. I didn't pay $43 for two nails to break before even 2 weeks... I came in to Lynn's Nail Bar for the first time and walked out very unsatisfied. I came in the next day to get them redone and the owner was generous enough to schedule me an appointment to redo them for free the next day. I went back in today and as she's trying to fix them she let's me know that my nails are "crooked" and that there pretty much isn't any fixing to be done but that she would try her best. I've always gone to another nail salon and always had nails that last me a month with no lifting or problems whatsoever. My best friend suggested we go here cause I was treating her. Let me tell you, my nails are horrible. It's only been a week n a half n I have 6 out of 10 lifting and one has completely fallen off. I am not happy at all. They also tried to charge me for glitter on 2 nails and didn't mention names extra charge until it was time to pay. I will never go back here. They don't have good product. Made an appointment and because no one knew how to remove acrylic nails, I was unable to be seen. Granted, I'm a busy person and when MAKE AN APPOINTMENT to carve out time out of my schedule, I usually think I'll have my time respected. Not at all. I was there with my sister, so she began to get her nails done, while I patiently waited to the side for someone who could help me. 15 mins goes away. 30 mins. Now, it's been 45mins-1 hour and they finally tell me "Oh, the person who can take off acrylics isn't here, so we can't do your nails." So I've been waiting for an HOUR for you to tell me "Oops, I know you scheduled an appointment and have been waiting here for an hour, but, sorry!" Whilst, 2-3 other customers walked in and got seen right away. I've heard good (and bad) things about this nail bar so I thought I'd give it a try, but this was a disrespect of my time and money. What was supposed to be a bonding opportunity between sisters, turned into me waiting for nothing (and resulted in high blood pressure and stress - thanks). Extremely aggravating and disappointing. HORRIBLE and PAINFUL EXPERIENCE HERE !!! If I could give this place a sub zero rating, I would !!! Today, I tried to get a gel manicure and the woman burned the majority of my hand with acetone while trying to get the gel off. She left it on for 20 minutes, kept having to put the cotton/foil back on my nails and then when she finally started to try and lift the existing gel, she was digging into my fingers with her own nail. I kept removing my hand in pain, and I tried to convey to one of the other workers there who seemed to speak some english, that I was in pain and wanted someone else to do my nails and nobody helped me. I ended up telling them to stop and leaving with my fingers swollen and BURNING!!! I also then had to return to work with half off gel nail polish. DO NOT GO HERE !!! I love this place, so when they first opened, I was a little scared, I wont lie, I had my own place and didnt want to try anything new! One day My old place (whos name we will leave out of this) was way to busy, so i said I guess lynn here i come. the staff was so super nice, and not like that way people who work in nail salons can be like nice and being condacending at the same time, NO!They was truly nice and friendly you know it by the owner knowing the names of all the repeat customers!This place is super clean, and always busy busy, but that must tell you they are good at what they do, Now this is my go to spot. im picky on how my nails come out, and they always do exactly what I want.also they have two ladys there who do custom work, and I have to say WOWI Went on to lynns nail bar FB and I send the nails they do by appointment AMAZING!!***** Five stars for Lynns nail bar and all the people there! Went in today for a regular pedicure and gel manicure and I was very happy with the experience. They were able to take care of me right away. The place is very clean and they have nice massage chairs. I did not see any menu with list of prices anywhere, but I had been told by the person who recommended this place to me that the prices were reasonable. I paid $55 before tip for a standard pedicure and gel manicure which did seem reasonable. For me, getting my nails done is a pretty rare treat, but I will certainly be coming back to this nail salon in the future when the opportunity arises again. Read Less

I saw the mix of reviews... took a chance anyways. I was in the area and had some free time that wasn't planned, so I stopped in. Looking back, I should have called and made an appointment with one the three women praised in other reviews.I came in for a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. I never got the names of the women who did the work because they were too busy talking to each other, talking on their cell phones, or trying to keep track of the basketball scores... what??? Neither of them really spoke to me except a couple of questions about length etc.The whole thing was a bit awkward. I have had my hands and toes done at the same time many times. Never with a weird table over my legs! I had to lean forward and stretch my arms out constantly to keep my hands in the UV lights. I kept hitting my knees on the table when switching feet for the pedi. Weird and very uncomfortable.Pedicure: was ok. She asked if I wanted them short, and I said yes. I had no clue she would try to file the nail bed too! No cuticle pushing or trimming like I am used to. Halfhearted scrubby work. I usually laugh hysterically as I am ticklish, but this barely made me giggle. Scrub was a waste of time, as was the "massage." Polish looks okay, which is more than I can say for my fingers....Manicure: certainly NOT worth $35!!! My 3 year old niece would have done better work because she pays attention! When you are being paid to do nails, stop trying to watch basketball! Only one hand got a soak. The cuticle pushing was nonexistent. She just ran the tool lightly down the tips of my nails. Zero trimming around the edges of my nails. Hardly any surface sanding, just a quick swipe. Here is the worst part... the polish is hella thick in some places, and hella thin in others. If you run a finger down my nails, there are waves! There is just as much gel polish on the skin around my nails as on them!! She put lotion on both hands, but only massaged my right hand for 23 seconds. Yes, I counted.I guess if you are a regular, or getting acrylics, you are treated well and spoken to during the process. I came in and got a nail fix real quick the other night and had the owner Lynn. Shes so nice and friendly! While I was under the light, she did my boyfriends brows and they came out amazing. I went to Lynn's Nail Bar yesterday, December 1st. I had heard good things about their work and was looking to find a new salon. The establishment looks clean and organized. There's even child sized pedicure chairs for the little ones which is super cute! I did not make an appointment therefore I was assigned the next employee available which was an elderly woman. I do not remember her name however I estimate she was well over 70 years old. I was leery about her ability but I had high hopes I would walk out of there with a nice manicure and a new favorite nail salon. That is far from the case. I am a single parent of three children, I go to school full time and work part time so I must spend my money wisely. Getting my nails done is the one thing I do for myself on a regular basis. I am very particular about my gel nails and feel they should be done well with no nail exposed, cuticles cut back and an overall neat appearance. I left Lynn's Nail Bar feeling frustrated and like I wasted $40. When she was 'done' I still had to ask her to cover a portion of one of nails. She did not apply the loose glitter properly and it now snags on my clothing. I feel my nails look messy and sloppy. Looking at them with fresh eyes today I can see on several nails there are areas she did not cover. Bless her heart for getting out there and earning a living, however, I am extremely unhappy with the outcome and will never go back to Lynn's Nail Bar because of this experience. I will happily go back to my regular salon where the colors are losing their appeal but they are always done correct, professionally and I pay $10 less. Read Less

No offer of callus or dead skin removal. The total pedicure was less than 25 mins from sit down to payment and that was including a customer nail emergency. Maybe a gender thing ir maybe I did not inquire as to which services were offered. This is my first pedicure in California and it is much different than Hawaii. As with each state rules of what is concidered hygienic and acceptable differ so I am not sure to the extent that pedicure becomes "surgical". I will try other nail salons before coming back. Overall this experience was clean and effective if not a little light on the "pamper and massage" Read Less

Lacking in nail polish color and most bottles look old. The nail tech told me my gel manicure would match pedicure and it doesn't. My gel manicure is completely chipping and peeling off. Won't be returning. The hunt for a nail place in Monterey continues. Read Less

It was my first time here today and oh my god.. I don't know where to start. Kay did my nails and they are sick they look amazing and I can't stop staring at my nails. She took her time perfecting my nails, shape, thickness, everything. We did pink chrome nails and they are just beyond gorgeous.The environment is also so welcoming, it's a family business and they have an area kids can play with each other while their mommies get their nails done and everyone there is so sweet and welcoming.This place is simply amazing. Went here once because we heard great things about it and it was okay. My mom and I got pedicures and I got a gel manicure. I wanted to take my mom to get a pedicure for her birthday today and made an appointment 4 days in advance for 10am. We arrived and they had double booked our appointment. There were 6 clients in there and only 3 people working so there obviously we're not enough people working to accommodate is. The gentlemen working there was not very friendly and did not even try to rectify the situation or apologize for their error. I thought I found my new nail to go place until recently... My old nail girl Vicki was the greatest she was my nail tech for almost 16 years . I didn't even have to tell her what I wanted she already knew. now that I'm 3.5 hrs from her I needed someone new that did great work... I found Lynn owner and Tech, I haven't had a fill in about 6 weeks now and only have broken 1 last night... Would have been 4 stars except  wen I called to remake an appt with her after missing prior one due to an emergency with my child and wasn't able to call and cancel... Lynn made me feel like I wasn't worthy of her service which truly sucks Bcus I thought she was it the all mighty nail tech.. so she does great work her ability to be understanding and humble is awful in certain situations... Avoid Helen at all costs. She is lazy and mumbles under her breath. She would file my nail and then throw my hand to the side. I went in at 9:00am to fix my nails that Tony had done. My whole right hand is longer than the left and there were air bubbles left in two of them which popped as soon as I got home. I arrived at 9:00am by myself since everyone  working there was late. Lynn looked at my nails and asked who had done them, I told her Tony and she put me with Helen to fix them. I only had black with gold sparkles- I don't know how difficult this can be.
