I hadn't been in for about 3 months and came during my hour lunch for a pedicure. Great pedicure, the lady really took her time but what reminded me about why I keep coming is that they charged me $30. I didnt even think twice about it just paid and walked out. As I was getting ready to leave, Henry runs out and catches me right before I pulled out! They had accidentally overcharged me $10 and I didnt even realize it! The foot massage with the $35 package pedicure was not to good. I had to ask for a liner for the foot bath many times before I was able to get it.I wanted to see how the color look first before she put it on my toes. Because I wasn't sure but in the end the nail tech put the colors on all my toes before I knew it. I didn't like it. Hi.... I think that Katie's Nails are amazing. If you feel your finger nails are burning, just say Ouch! They do understand. If you're quite a shy person, it may be slightly difficult but they always manage to get there. My nails are done with powder gel and shelliac and I could go up to about six weeks with them. 2 hour wait; he ripped the gel nails off rather than soaking them even though I'd asked for infills, ripped a nail bed and burnt me, when I removed my hand as it was burning he grabbed it abd put it back under the lamp. I'm sorry to say this place is disappointing (I've been here twice now and I will not be back). I was there last Saturday (a week and 1 day ago) for a pedicure and gel nails. My nails have already chipped on every corner and the bottom and sides are peeling!! Normally gels are supposed to last a couple of weeks. My pedicure with regular nail polish is lasting longer than the gel nails and I don't do anything crazy with my hands to warrant the quick wear. I would go back and ask they fix my nails but I live out of town so it's not worth it. Probably best to not waste your time on this place. The "massage" part of the manicure was a joke as well. Me and my 9 year old daughter went in. We only went here because our regular salon is closed due to a scheduled vacation. This is not my regular place and I will not be going back. They do a rush job here. They are not thorough. They had the TV muted on a soap opera that nobody was watching and when I asked if they could change it to CNN or any news station, the man looked really put off. It made me uncomfortable. The lady who did my gel manicure did not let me wash my hands before polish, even after I asked her if I could. So my hands were full of dust and lint! Ugh! Then she REALLY struggled with the french tips, probably due to all the dust and lint!! I asked to add the gratuity on my card as I was paying and she said gratuities are cash only. I had no idea since this isn't my regular place. I would have had no problem getting cash from the gas station in the same parking lot and bringing them a gratuity back, until the lady who worked on me started speaking immediately to the lady who worked on my daughter in their native language and giving me nasty looks. Horrible service would no recommend. I took my two year old daughter here to get her nails painted for her first time she was so excited they told us to have a seat to wait. We waited and waited other customers kept comming and took them before us I assume because they were getting more done they just there nails painted. It made me so upset that we went waited and still didn't get sene kept telling us to wait so I left not fair and poor customer service they ruined her first time experience and I would not go back after that. I will never go again, they charged me way more then what I usually pay, and the lady made me bleed from pushing my skin to much back and the next day my shellac started peeling off! left so many numbs on my nails ! I went none of my nails where the same length and they are not smooth , on tops of that the lady tried to play me and say coffin shaped nails cost an extra $5 when she was trying to tax me $35 when the sign said $25 ! I wouldn't recommend going here unless you want half fast nails 😂 Read Less

I went in for a pedicure and was extremely disappointed in their service. First, the lady rudely tells me to get in my seat as I was trying to ask my friend's opinion on my color choice. I sat down and she started on the pedicure. I asked for a simple pedicure - purple nail polish with purple glitter on top. Nothing crazy. This girl did the sloppiest job I have ever witnessed in my entire life of getting pedicures. She seemed to care more about socializing with her besties instead of focusing on my toes. She barely scrubbed my feet and was so busy chatting that she scrubbed one particular spot for 30-45 seconds straight. This is the entire point of a pedicure. I can paint my own toes for free if I wanted to. But the scrubbing/massage is what I pay for - and it was terrible. She hardly filed my toenails and seemed annoyed of even being there in the first place. I felt like more of an inconvenience to her than a customer. What I thought would be a nice way to unwind was just plain uncomfortable. So then this girl slapped some base coat on my toes and went in with the purple. She didn't even make the colors look even in it's opacity. The toenails on my big toes look darker than all my other toes. I asked for another coat of glitter because I could tell she missed some spots there too, but she said it would be "too much" and didn't do it. Meanwhile, I look around to see that some of the other employees are putting actual effort into the detail of their work. The 9 year old sitting next to me was getting better attention and she even had better toenails than I did. I can't speak for every employee at the place but $20 for a poorly done pedicure that I could've done better at home by myself is too much. (By the way, $3 extra for French tip.) ***********Don't trust the prices they quote you here double check with a manager or another nail tech, if not they will over charge you!!!!!!! Or should I say the nail tech that did my nails over charged me. I came to this nail shop about a month ago, I returned today after promising not to return, I forgot to ask for Ian this time because I saw her doing a really good on someone else's nails last time. This time I loved my nails and I wasn't over charged. I asked to speak with the manager to let her know the nail tech that did my nails did a really good job. 1. She shined me and the compliment off like nothing, already displaying "great" manager skills even towards her staff, so I should have known I wasn't going to get any issue addressed but I tried anyway. 2. I showed the manager the same picture I showed the nail tech that overcharged me and asked how much does it cost she told me 30+5 for the glitter 3. Once i informed the manager that I was over charged by $30 she looked at me like I was lying then told me that the charge was for two services when I did get a pedicure that day but I paid her separate because she did my toes first. I wanted to get Shellac done on my hands and toes. So I called around and asked a few places how much it would cost for shellac with a manicure and pedicure. I went to Vicki's Nails because the woman on the phone said it was $35, I specifically asked for a mani-pedi with shellac on both. Well after they finished my nails the women tells me its $60. I told her that the woman on the phone said $35 but she said no. Well they refused to bring down the price at all and I am forced to pay them because the job is already done. I came by just because I happened to be in this area while running errands.  I had little time, but needed a manicure, & figured I could squeeze one in, if I came here.  A simple manicure.  The easiest nail service there is.  If a nail salon screws this up, it's the equivalent of a breakfast place not knowing how to scramble eggs.  The hard truth of my experience...The gal assigned to me was misinformed about my service.  She thought I was in for a pedicure.  She was VERY young.  At this point the forecast for my visit was already looking bad.  She was too aggressive w my cuticles.  She noticed me flinch, checked w me about pain, but carried on in the same manner.  At least she didn't make me bleed.  Fail.When it was time for me to wash my hands before the polish application, the floor was REALLY slippery.  I actually almost slipped & fell.  Know why?  It was covered in acrylic dust.  I was thanking heaven that I wasn't barefoot.  Can you imagine?!  Acrylic & finger nail dust all over your bare feet?  Yeah, beyond disgusting.  Can you say health code violation?How about safety violation?Back in my chair, the polishing commenced.  The ridges at my nail base were uneven, & there were a few marks in the polish when she was finished.  When I brought this to my "technician's" attention, she told me it was just because they weren't dry yet.Really?Well, it's been 24 hours now, so they're dry for sure, & the marks are still there.Go figure.I've been getting my nails professionally done, on a regular basis, for over 20 years.  Sometimes it's every week.  Sometimes it's every 2 weeks.  With acrylic, it's every 3 weeks.  No matter how you slice it, simple math would dictate that I know what's up in this arena.  I don't appreciate someone who is half my age & thoroughly inexperienced not appreciating that.  I've read past reviews giving credit & a positive rating for the staff knowing their name.  This correlation, of familiarity w good service, is laughable to me.  It's a nail salon, not a neighborhood cafe or bar.  I don't need a nail salon tech to know my name.  I just need him or her to do the job that I'm paying them to do.  Competently & professionally.  The piece de resistance?  As I was about to walk out, thinking maybe I was being too hard on the place, I noticed there was a bunch of very long, black hair stuck to the bottom of my shoe.  WTH?  This isn't even a hair salon!  I wiped my shoes off as soon I left, thoroughly disgusted.  If you get a pedicure, you walk on this floor in your bare feet!  Mortified. REALLY UNSAFE SALON!!!!!!!!!! I went in to get my nails removed and I literally left in tears. The lady was rude and inconsiderate! After taking two nails off and making my nails bleed and trying to make me put them in remover solution (WHILE BLEEDING) ,  it was such a painful burning sensation I told her I had enough. She did not want to help me! So after bleeding and burning nails I got up and told her she has POOR service and I left.
