No stars. The lady's asked me what kind of pedicure I would like. I said the basic. She then asked me if I want to pay extra $5 for something I did not understand what I said no. She rushed my whole pedicure my feet were out of the water within 7mins. I was so mad she realized I was mad and kept asking if I was ok . After that I was so ready to leave but  she started taking her time I stayed and let her finish.And then she had me pay and asked me if I wanted to relax in the reception area I told her I should've been relaxing in your chair not in the reception areaIn and out within 30 minutes so unhappy that was the most and relaxing experience I've ever hadNever going back Read Less

I rarely review but I was very disappointed with this place. It was my first time here and the lady made 2 fingers bleed a lot and the whole experience was very painful as she was very rough. I hope they don't get infected. I was not happy so I only gave a couple dollar tip and she yelled at me, complaining about it when I handed it to her. Read Less

I have never had to write a bad review on a nail salon. I went there in May 1,2017 with my friend. This was my first time at this place. I usually go some where else but since my friend had got me a bday gift certificate from there i decided to use it. It all seem fine until like 2 days ago. My toe seem to be infected. I have been getting acrylic faithfully for 6 years now. After trying every salon in Modesto, I have never found a better place. I currently live in Hayward now and still drive back home every 2 weeks just to get my nails done. EVERY employee is AMAZING. They are the most thorough, genuine, and professional manicurists. I have never been rushed even on the most busy of days. The pedicures are the best in town as well. Not one bad thing to say about the place. I've gotten my eyebrow waxings here as well. Loved my experience here. Pedi was $21 and it included paraffin and a nice massage. They left my toe nails looking amazing. I also did a gel mani and was in and out in about an hour. I'm always busy so appreciated them being fast. The only thing they need to improve is getting new towels for the hot towel treatments. Read Less

Maybe someday I'll find a decent nail salon in this town... Mimi's is another fail.I came in for a regular manicure and after the gal there question me 3 times on whether or not I wanted a gel manicure, and I continued to say, "no thanks, just a regular manicure", she looked at me as if I asked for her first born child... Sorry, but I'm not into gel manicures. I used to get gel on a regular basis, but found them to be really bad for your nails and I enjoy changing my polish color more often than a gel allows. But her inquisition was unprofessional, rude and not a great first impression. Especially since I could tell that she and he co-workers were speaking negatively about me right in front of my face... not okay.The manicure itself was probably about 10-15 minutes, and it felt very rushed. She didn't even use cuticle cream to soften my cuticles before she barely pushed them back. The water was cold, the instruments looked dirty and did not come out of a sterilization bag, she copped away at my cuticles way too much, especially without properly pushing them back first. She didn't even remove all my old nail polish. Then she had me sit under the light to dry...which is pretty laughable considering a gel light doesn't dry regular polish...I basically paid $12 + $2 tip for a polish change. Read Less

Leelee & Mimi are my 2 favs here. They always do a great job on both fingers and toes. I usually do shellac on both and it always lasts 2 weeks on fingers and 1 month on my toes. Definitely work the cost. My only suggestion is.... If they ask u, or if u ask for an "extra" like white tips, callus remover... make sure u ask what the additional charge will be! I've been going here for years & I still get surprises in the final cost bc I added something and didn't realize it... They won't always tell u before they do it & that ticks me off. Horrible, long time customer till my nails kept popping off, and had to continually keep going back to get them repaired . Of course Mimi was kind enough to repair for free, but when I went in to replace the original MESS of a full set, she just slapped them on and made a mess of my hands! Horrible, needless to say I cut them off , and not going back. So sad really loved it there, but not worth the embarrassment, time, and most importantly MONEY. Monica Read Less

Honestly I have no idea why others wrote such bad reviews. I went in on Monday 05/02 for a full set ($20) and pedicure ($21). The owner Hai did my full set and they are BEAUTIFUL as always. He was careful with his application, took his time to shape, and made sure my polish was smooth and not streaky. I will admit I have had issues with the ladies who apply acrylics, but Hai is consistently SPOT ON. This is my go-to spot. Save yourself the headache and doubt, and just call ahead to make an appt with the owner. (See my photo, pink coffin shaped nails).I also got a pedi, and you seriously can't beat $21 for a spa pedicure. Hot water relaxed my feet and got the cuticles nice and soft. The gentleman who did my pedicure was gentle yet not too gentle where any cuticles or dry skin remained. The foot and leg massage with massage lotion was TO DIE FOR, and the paraffin wax "mask" left me so smooth. The addition of hot towels was great too. Again, my go to for pedis. $41 for plus tip, you can't get any better. I've never had a single problem. Enjoy! Read Less
