I live in the Bay Area but visit family once a month or so. The shellac manicures is better than any place I've found in the bay and at half(ish) the cost. Whereas a typical shellac mani lasts me about two weeks, Gorgeous Nails lasts me almost an entire month (and I lift weights)! They're nice, the place is clean and convenient, and they seem to be popular. I am almost always here on the weekends and see so many ladies who walk in turned away and told to come back. I've been going to this salon for more than 10 years - it is by far the best one in the central valley! Under the new ownership, everyone is even nicer and more thoughtful than in the past, plus there have been new innovations such as expanded hours, huge selection of gel polish, new upgraded chairs, and plastic liners with the pedicure. My husband and I regularly get mani-pedi's and have never been disappointed. As a bonus, this salon will do gel on both hands and feet, which many salons are unwilling to do. It's 342pm Sunday, and right when I walk in the lady tells me they are closed. The business hours posted and say they are open on Sundays until 5pm. She said they were slow so the other ladies went home. Yes she was working on a lady and from the looks of it, she was almost finished. My daughter and I walked in to get pedicures and gel manicures. They greeted us and asked us to pick out nail colors. Our pedicures were done first and very well. They forgot that we wanted manicures so we were left sitting for a long time. I tried to ask, but either the girl didn't hear me or didn't understand. When we did get seated for the manicures, it went fairly quickly though. My only complaint is that the girl who did my gel manicure applied the polish too close to my cuticle in some places (see pic). With gel manicures, you want to apply it a bit away from the cuticle so as it grows out, it stays adhered better. I will try to file down the flap in a couple days to see if that helps. Read Less

My husband and I love coming here every two weeks. I haven't been this satisfied with a nail salon in a long time. We get pedis and manis, except I add Shellac. Demi, Mai, and Amy are all excellent. The others seem to have happy customers who know them. I think there are a lot of repeat customers here. Very clean as well and the new pedi chairs are so comfy. I always get wonderful service from Helen , she is very sweet and does a wonderful pedicure every time for several years now. Everyone at Gorgeous Nails on Pelandale have been very welcoming. Worst place ever. Do not waste your time. They sat me down for my pedicutre. I waited and waited. No one came after 30 of being told I was next. When the girl was finally coming over she went to the lady next to me who got here after me!! I walked out with no pedicure. Biggest waste of time. A HUGE thank you to Gorgeous Nails for taking on my my whole bridal party! I had booked an appointment for 9 people on a  Saturday morning.... and then forgot I said Saturday and showed up on Friday like an idiot with my whole party... They were so incredibly kind and accommodating even though it was obviously my fault. Luckily they were almost finished with the current clients and were able to seat us quickly. I had the pleasure of having Thu take care of me. I got an upgraded pedicure where she scrubbed my feet with a beautifully orange- scented scrub and made my toes sparkle! Then she worked on my gel mani. She was so friendly and particular about the quality of the mani (which I'm very particular, so I was a big fan of that). Her technique was flawless and gorgeous! Overall, we had an amazing and relaxing time there! They even let us drink mimosas that my bridesmaids had brought in! Everyone I brought with me had a fantastic time there! I've been coming here since I was in high school because one of my peer's parents were the owners. I always care back because I was meet with kindness, smiles, and good customer service. I would always recommend this place to all my friends and family. I was never disappointed with my service. I'm honestly really sad that this place is under new ownership. I usually never have a problem with my service but today was different. The manicurist I had didn't greet me with a smile or asked me how I was. I felt like my hands were getting man-handled and as if she didn't care if she did good job or not. It was actually painful on my fingers and the massage was not relaxing at all. She was squeezing the life out of my arms. I love ladies at this nail place: they pretty much know my mom and I always come together. Maybe it was just this one time that I had not-as-good service. I have been too Gorgeous Nails before and they did a decent job on my pedicure. That's why I'm giving this three stars. Unfortunately on this visit the woman who did my pedicure was extremely rough and made this an extremely painful experience, she even drew blood on one toe. I just finished working out at the gym and started feeling pain in my big toe.  I decided to stop by at gorgeous nails. Considering it was under new management I decided to give them a try. My technician was Mai and she was great! I was told that I had an ingrown toenail. She politely removed it and immediately it was extremely relieved of the pain. Omgosh, I'm so happy to find out last Sunday that this nail salon is now under new ownership. The other owner was so so rude. I walked in and walked out on her. The new owners husband and wife. Also, the wife's mother works there as well. DEMI the owner gave me a wonderful basic pedi. Even though it was a basic pedi it was great. I wanted to get the deluxe pedi but, I got there so late . I'll go back and get the deluxe pedi next time. I couldn't believe the basic pedi was so great.All of them are genuine  (sensurily) very very very nice. I'm so happy I can now go there and my daughters too. We live right down the street from Gorgeous nails . It's now going to be so convenient for us all. I'm now telling all my girlfriends too. They were so nice to even invite me back to their upcoming Christmas party this Friday. As I was leaving the husband told me. "Make sure you come early. Before the food runs out"!!! I ve been getting my pedicures done in this place since 2010 I ve never been treated better in any other nail salon their service is Outstanding. The lady that sits at the front desk on the left side has the personality of a brick wall. She did not say anything at all except for when I went to pay she said (very rudely) "you don't have cash?!l" and I said "no, do y'all not take debit cards" and she said "well it's only $5" so I go to sign my debit card receipt and there is not a tip line. I kindly left her a 20% cash tip that she did not deserve and walked out without saying a word. No wonder this place got horrible reviews. Absolutely no customer service. Rude, awkward, awful experience. The lady did a decent job painting my nails( though they started chipping badly after 2 days), too bad she was rude. I wanted acrylic set of pink and white. I got a nail polish and powder dipping method that was weak and cloudy. When I asked them to change it to acrylic she was rude, rough with her drill and file and kept talking in her language while all the workers stared at me. I walked in and asked if I could get a pedicure. The female owner said, "yea go sit down," and pointed towards the pedi chairs. I asked which one. She said, "Um the empty one." There were THREE EMPTY ONES! I said, "There are three empty ones." She did not respond. I took a chance and sat at the first empty chair. Another female employee came and told me that chair wasn't ready. She was friendly. The woman who did my nails was very sweet. She did an ok job, but she cut my nails very short-even though I asked her not to cut them. The female owner was the cashier when we were finished. She did not even look in my general direction. Pros: Super cheap! For a pedi it's only $18 Cons: 1.They do hot stones with their pedis which is usually a plus but they do it when your feet are dry...dry feet + dry stones = kinda painful lol 2.They do accept credit cards but no place to put a tip so make sure to bring a cash tip 3. They have a large selection of gel and regular nail polishes, and they are reasonably priced.  It is clean, comfortable, and quite relaxing. There are two manicurists that take care of the acrylic nails, and several staff members that perform the manicures and pedicures(that include a free hot stone massage).*Also, as someone who has always had issues with painful pedicures due to dancer's feet, I really appreciate that the staff here takes their time and really takes care when treating my problem areas.*Overall, I thoroughly enjoy my experience each and every time I visit Gorgeous Nails. I have been coming here for several months but today was the worst customer service experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I don't mind waiting, but once I was told to go to my chair I waited another 30min while they helped 2 people that came after me. Once of the girls apologized but clearly they don't know that my time is valuable and I as a customer I am just as important as those other two that were helped before me. I wish I could give no stars !!I am literally so pissed. I came here for a pedicure and told the manager that I was very particular and that I needed someone very experienced. I go to the same lady in Los Angeles and just happened to be visiting a friend and thought I'd swing by. This was the most disgusting experience ever. I stopped her mid way though her cutting my nails I said I was okay and didn't want to move forward because it was obvious she didn't know what she was doing or just didn't care. Either way I wanted to go somewhere else. She and the rest of the staff ensured I would be happy at the end & that she could finish the job properly. Long story short the end result was crap. Polish sucked, scrub sucked, and she put a bunch of lotion on my skin while it was still wet -_-. It was just horrible and I won't be back. Do not come here. Read Less
