THE WORST NAIL SALON IN MODESTO. DO NOT GO HERE. I made an appointment at 5:30 for my nails and toes. Its 7:18 and the bitch is still painting my toes telling me to come back Monday for my nails. DO NOT EVER GO TO FRENCH NAILS ON COFFEE RD!!! I've gone to them off and on for the last 4 years but never was 100% pleased with the results. But this last time was horrendous! I went in on Saturday, 9/23, for a mani-pedi because I was going on vacation the next day. While I was there, the woman used sea salt scrub on a pumice stone and rubbed the side of my big toe. I told her that it hurt. After rinsing it off, it was bleeding. She used something that she said would "sterilize" it which I think was alcohol because it burned like hell! She then proceeded to stick the same foot in the hot paraffin wax! That hurt so bad it brought tears to my eyes. When she finished, I asked her if she was going to give me a discount since she hurt me. She said, " I no understand discount" but gave me $5 off. By Monday, it looked very very infected! After my second visit to my doctor on this last Monday, I took the receipts for my co-pays and the receipt for the antibiotics and also asked for my money back on the mani pedi which was $36. I showed the owner, Steve, the picture I took on the 25th and he said that looks like an old wound and then he accused me of coming in with it. I told him all I want is to be reimbursed $97 and he got out his wallet and told me I would have to sign something and I said no, I'm not signing anything because it's not healed yet. Okay, so I went here after two years of going to the same lady. Unfortunately she moved to another state so I had to find somewhere else to go. Horrible. I didn't even let her finish my nails because I almost cried. The shape was so bad. after I tried telling her she told she wasn't done, but she still didn't fix them. I didn't want to make a scene. So I just let her finish and paid for the fill itself and didn't let her paint them. I still can't believe she left nails the way she did. Half of my index finger nail was missing . On both hands. The $23 gold pedicure is so worth the extra $5. Hot rocks, parrafen lotion and gel, and tree tea oil rub is amazing. I was 10 minutes late on my appointment and they still helped me right away. The place is kinda sketchy looking from the outside. However inside the place is clean and have all the regular products. I just wish they had better polish choices. Read Less

I've waited to write my review until I had a consistent good experience. My nail professional is Lisa and I think she is absolutely awesome. I've been coming here for over 5 months now every other week and I haven't been disappointed once. I know! I'm amazed! First, Lisa is very patient with meI love to think I like to try different colors until I see them on a fingernail and then I say"Oh my, I don't like that! Just clear please". Lisa doesn't ever seem to mind as long as I'm happy. Very sweet lady and I'm greeted warmly by the other nail professionals as well. Nice and fast. Very inconsistent. No one does anything the same. Today they scrubbed my feet so hard they actually are still pink hours later and have MORE rough spots than when I came in. Not happy at all.  Not sanitary either. The gal stopped with me and then put someone's shoes on and came back and touched my feet! Gross. They were all caught up in conversation and ignored guests. Came in with my mom and we both got pedicures. The guy that did mine didn't use the hot stones that are part of the basic pedicure and I had to tell him I wanted a base coat because he was gong to skip that and start with the polish right away... He also did not separate my toes before painting so the polish is sloppy. I don't recommend coming here. Read Less

Went here for a nautical nail design & the white on my nails turned YELLOW bc she put gel top coat even though she clearly used regular nail polish. I went back a few days later & got them redone by (Stephanie) who did my nails both times, painted over them with black & then blue & did another shitty anchor. I've been upset & crying since. I walked in here during my lunch because I couldn't go to my usual spot. I didn't tell the staff I was in a hurry because I wasn't,  but staff there was in a hurry. I took a picture of my hand nails and u can see the drip and how uneven they are. My toes!!! An absolute mess. Called ahead for a "drop-in" pedicure. Showed up less than 3 minutes later and they were just about to start another drop in. They made the other person wait since I had called. I figured this was a good sign as to the level of service I would get here. WRONG!I asked for just the basic pedicure and it was terrible. She barely filed my nails and made no attempt to make the length, size, or shape be consistent toe to toe or foot to foot. The massage was just her rubbing in lotion with the assistance of a warm rock. I offered to pay more for a better massage but was told "No, I have a 10 hr day and my arms will be too sore."Finally, NO base coat before color and only ONE COAT of top coat. No way this will last more than a few days. Totally disappointed!  I'm typically a good tipper, but today there may be no tip at all. Read Less

I've come here twice in the last month or so to get my nails done and they've come out great! I would recommend Steve for acrylic manicures, takes his time and makes sure everything's just right and that you like it,  but everyone's nice and welcoming and it is really adorable for the quality also! Steve and Stephanie do amazing work. I've been coming to them for 10 years. Nice, clean salon. Very good prices. I usually get a overlay fill and polish and am out the door under $20. The ladies that do the pedicures are very sweet, especially Lisa and Michelle.  I highly recommend this place! :) Read Less

I am gonna have to rate this place 3 stars. Sorry... I didnt really enjoy my pedicure as much as i had liked. The gentleman doing it said he had 2 years experience. I guess I was expecting a scrub to be used and a longer massage but there was Not. Just a quick soak of the feet and light scrub on my heals. He did do a good job at getting my cuticles cleaned so that's why I went up an extra star. A manicure and pedicure for $25! Well what did I expect lol! Being a manicurist myself I just expected the same pampering that I would be sure to give my clients. Oh well, next time I'll have to stick to doing it myself.  In the future I'll be sure to spend money on a full body massage instead. Hehe! Hope this review helps someone out. Read Less

I have been going to French Nail for several years and have had no problems with my nails. I use to have nails done at other places in the past only to find they did not stay on long. It's nice to know I have somewhere to go and my nails will last me a long time. They have wonderful color options and will customize my colors any way I want them . My pedicures are always nicely done and last me for a very long time too. The owner and his wife are very personable and I feel at home there. I would highly recommend the salon. Read Less
