My best friend's husband was deployed overseas yesterday and I had surgery this morning, so we both needed a "pick me up." We decided to get our nails done. We picked Allure Nail Lounge because it had decent reviews online. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed in my service. Pros: The majority of the staff is super nice, with the exception being the woman that did my manicure. However, I attributed her rudeness to perhaps a language barrier and would have likely just shrugged it off if my nails hadn't turn out as horribly as they did. The salon is clean and it wasn't busy when we went in, so we were able to walk right in and get seated. They also provide complimentary beverages such as wine and champagne which is also nice. Cons: It cost me $80 for a poorly done mani/pedi! I'm pretty sure I was overcharged to have my polish removed even though I told them it was regular polish not gel, but that's not even my primary concern. My nails were very, very, very poorly done. There are chips and bubbles on the nail where my nail tech didn't apply the polish on smoothly. There is also polish on my skin where the nail tech painted my skin with the polish and also where she failed to wipe up some polish that she spread all over my hands when she removed my old polish. My nail tech applied some greasy lotion mixed with a sand-like substance and then did a below sub-par wiping it off. When I went to pay for my overpriced mani/pedi, my wallet slipped right out of my hands because my hands were so oily! In addition, she didn't clean out the sand-like substance from my cuticles so I have sand stuck in my nail beds and in my cuticles still. She also never cleaned under my nail, which I think is pretty necessary when getting an $80 mani/pedi. My nails look really bad, especially for the price, and I will need to have them redone ASAP. When I was leaving, I think the girl at the desk could tell I was upset with the quality of my manicure, but I didn't tell her my concerns because I didn't want to make a scene about it.Overall, I am really disappointed in my service especially when this was something I really needed to go right today. If the manager could kindly contact me, I'd like to either receive a full refund for the manicure or I would gladly come in to have them redone. The nail tech that did my friend's nails did a fantastic job. I believe her name was Kim. Thank you. Read Less
