I requested a simple full set for my nails, but somehow it was a little bit complicated. I called for an appointment a few hours ahead, but they accidentally gave away my spot to another girl (they thought she was me..) i ended up waiting 10-15 mins. The lady who did my nails was nice, but I felt she really rushed my nails. I'm not picky, but she didn't get entire fingernail & there was leftover glue on the side of my fingers. BUT LEMME TELL YOU, the lady put me on the side to dry off the nails so she could do another customers. I showed up for my 10:15am scheduled appointment only to find out Yen was with another client. I actually arrived  at 10:12 before my scheduled time and she claimed I was late so she gave my appointment time away. Keep in mind there are 5 other employees there with out clients and she tells me because I'm late she can't do my  pedicure.She further explained they called me to confirm my appointment and since I didn't answer they didn't think I would show up.Keep in mind I have been a client for over 5 years and I always show up for my appointments with Yen because she is always busy. In fact I set this appointment over 7 weeks ago and confirmed 4 weeks ago ... so really no justification to give my appointment away with Yen. Other than Bad  Business Practice from the owner. In fact I don't blame Yen it's the owners lack of business integrity. And the truth is no one else there is as good as Yen. Which is the reason why I always request an appointment with her.After Yen stated the owner called me and she had to cancel ...I asked Yen to keep my appointment as scheduled.The owner then approached me yelling and claimed she called me several times which was not true, againBad Business practices, to yell because you made a mistake and gave away established appointment time.So I checked my phone log and noticed I did received a missed call at 10:05 while I was driving there. Lets recap...Shop opens at 10am but because they have opening duties Yen has always scheduled me at 1015am... but since the owner called me at 10:05 to confirm and I didn't answer I lost my appointment time with Yen.Now I was willing to wait but it was the principal of disrespecting me when the owner yelled at me when I wasn't even late and furthermore she has never called me to confirm my appointments in the past. Luckily I went to the nail shop near to Pizza  Box and they were very professional and even charged less, I paid$25.00 for Full set -Gel with White Tips... very reasonable and they look great! Positive side I found a new nail salon with a $10.00 discount:) Too Bad for Yen she needs a new salon to provide her services away from the owners bad business practice and negative energy! Paid for gel manicure and the next day it started to chip. I waited one week to come back to show them how bad it was and they said they would fix it but still charge me $10. I have had regular manicures last me way longer before they start to chip. I had gotten gel before and it lasted me over three weeks before starting to chip. Read Less

A friend of mine recommended this place for a mani/pedi. But I'll never go back. I instantly liked the feel of the place, until I sat down for the pedicure. The arm of the chair was full of nail filings and big splotches of something. Very dirty.One gal (sorry, I didn't catch her name) did my mani, just a buff. She kept trying to talk me into gel, I kept declining. And my buff really didn't end up being a buff. I walked in with ridges and walked out with ridges. How hard is it to buff out ridges and get a sheen?A different gal did my pedi (sorry, I didn't catch her name either). I picked out a color for my toes, but she couldn't get the bottle open. She went in the back twice to run it under hot water. Finally got the bottle open, but the brush and polish were messed up. So I picked out a different color. Hmmm.She pumiced my right heel and foot, not my left. Not sure why. Maybe that service was for the upgraded pedicure? Another strange thing - she gave me a foot/lower leg massage after the color was applied. So only the bottom half (heel) of my feet were massaged.I was very disappointed. I love Tina's. It isn't an overly spa-ish type nail salon and yet it is more relaxing than most of the ones that are trying to provide a "spa experience." I went at lunch and it wasn't crowded. Lynne did my pedicure and she seemed to actually take her time to do a great job--it looked FANTASTIC. The Deluxe pedicure price ($20) also included a massage. SO the only thing really lacking from a "spa" type pedicure was the scrub. And I think they might have a spa pedicure available (that presumably includes that) for a few bucks more.
