This was a wonderful relaxing experience, as my feet sat in a whirlpool bath of hot water for a pedicure, and I sat in a really strong massaging chair, this sweet lady, Van, cleaned up my cuticles, massaged my feet and offered me hot tea, she was very kind, friendly and accommodating and was a great example of top notch customer service! Lots of parking outside... a very calm peaceful experience with relaxing music... after using some of the tools that she used on me, she gave me a little bag of them to take home because of course using the highest standards of cleanliness these would not be reused by another person so I thought that was very thoughtful!I usually don't like my feet but I think she made them look as pretty as possible :-) I will be back again when I'm in the San Jose area! I have been a regular customer for nearly 7 years. I have never been disappointed. I usually get a pedicure. I have gotten a wax/ manicure less frequently. I always book an appointment over text with Van, the owner and nail technician. She is awesome. She is very methodical, takes her time to work on you and is very good with hygiene. She gives you the items that she used on you, so you know no one else has used it. She has a pretty good collection of colors to choose from. She is also very skilled at nail art. Furthermore she customizes the treatment for your feet/nail condition and requirements. Love this place. I moved away, tried two places and keep coming back to her now in spite of the drive. I have been to several American Legions in the Midwest and this is one of them. The first time I was there I took my wife and we won meat. I thought that was the coolest thing so I took my wife there again but we didn’t win meat. I like my meat grilled which is what I did with the meat we won. We had our grooms supper there recently, 28 people in all. There was plenty of room to mingle and sit. We went the buffet route and the food was excellent!! There was plenty of food for everybody. Chicken was superb and the ribs were so tender and tasty. Also, the drinks were good :) Our waitress Michelle S. did a fantastic job. She kept everybody in drinks. Well done Liberty Restaurant!! I have been to a number of salons in the area over the past 5 years, but I've never had consistently fabulous service except with Van. I was SO happy when she finally opened her own place in Milpitas. Van Tran is the owner and keeps the place looking spic & span. I only get my waxing done by her - not sure what wax she uses, but it's always quick & painless! Plus, the hair has started taking a lot longer to grow back & is coming back thinner!! Amen :) Van takes a lot of pride in her work and is dedicated to her customers, who she treats more like friends. She even gave me the brand new bottle of OPI nail polish that she had painted my toes with for my sister's wedding, just in case I needed a touch up while I was away!! WHO DOES THAT?? I have been going to Van for the past 4 years, ever since she saved me from being waxed by a complete novice at a different salon! Van has moved around a lot since then and finally opened her own place in Milpitas. I drive all the way from south San Jose just because I know her level of service, cleanliness and friendly welcome is worth it! I always find her pedicures are incredibly relaxing and last more than a month!! As for her ability to wax painlessly is amazing... my hair growth has become a lot thinner over the years, so I don't need to go as often.
