I really like this nail salon. I was referred here by one of my friends and the vibe in the atmosphere is pretty great. I really love the designs that they do here you could tell they take your time and do their best work. They have a $16 pedicure which I would not recommend because it's just so quick and very very basic and they don't put soap in the tub for soaking they only use water which I wasn't too happy about. This was my first time here and let's say I'm completely disappointed with the results. The lady with pink hair was incredibly rude and I was passed from worker to worker just to finish up a fill with a design on the ring finger. They were incredibly packed but seemed to try and rush my nails which resulted in a bad set. I got this set not even a week ago yet and the paint job was horrible. The acrylic is lumpy as well. First time at this place, I liked it a lot. Most likely will return, but definitely will schedule an appointment next time! I happened to be around the area so decided to just walk in and see what the whole fuss about this place was, not a great idea. i drove from san jose to come here because i have been following their instagram for a while, and had to check them out. i came in at 1:30, and they were able to help me in about 10 minutes since they were so busy. my technician, cindy, helped me design the nails i wanted. she paid very close attention to detail and took the time to shape my acrylics in the most flattering way. k3 was very worth the drive, and i am excited to go back again! everyone that walked in left with a beautiful set of nails Read Less

I scheduled an appointment for 1 pm, and they seated us at 1:40. We got there at 12:50 and there were other walk ins, and they took them before us, so what was the point of making the appointment in the first place? So, my nail tech didn't seem to care very much about my nails. Taking off my old set, she was extremely rough. My nail polish had bubbles in it, the shape was uneven, and after I left, there was still acrylic on my hands and fingers. The nail tech didn't even cut my cuticles. Not coming back. Read Less

I was here a couple of weeks ago but held off on my review just to see how the acrylics stood the test of time. The attached photos are just a few hours after I first got them done. I walked into K3 on a Wednesday night. It was moderately busy but I was seated fairly quickly. I had Van as my nail tech. She was nice yet she was constantly talking to other customers and was obviously rushing to have me out of her chair so she could get another customer (who seemed to be her friend) in. Then while she was finishing up my nails, she decided she was going to start doing her friends nails as well. She really tried to do BOTH of our nails at the same time. I felt as if, as a customer, I was not being valued. Also she kept on criticizing me for not being able to follow directions when she was the one who asked me to take my hand out of the UV light while curing the gel. Pros: Definitely easier on the wallet than Queenie's or Be my Nails. My full set was $30 + I left her a $5 tip. Cons: Some of the acrylic is super bumpy and uneven.  My pinky nail has an issue where the nail flairs out instead of angles in, like the coffinish square shape I requested. The glitter on one hand is very patchy, since she was obviously rushing. Overall, my experience here was along the lines of ok. It was definitely not the BEST nail salon but I suppose you get what you pay for. Maybe if I had made an appointment for a time that wasn't busy, my nail tech would have the time go pay attention to detail. I went to K3 for a quick fill since it had pretty good reviews. I usually go to Color Nails in SJ, but K3 was closer to where I was that day. I asked for an all white acrylic fill with a marbled accent nail. My nail technician (I believe her name was Amy) was incredibly rude in her mannerism and also kept trying to convince me to do a chrome accent nail instead, which I should have seen as a red flag to begin with. I didn't want chrome, so she started on her marble design instead. She tried to convince me that "not all marbles nails are the same", and even when I asked her to redo the design twice, it still ended up looking like zebra stripes instead of marbled. Not only did my nails end up looking ugly, but they also had some weird marks and dried acrylic underneath a few nails. I don't think K3 is an overall terrible nail salon, but stay far away from Amy if you do decide to come here.*Edit: I was also charged $30 for this fill while my sister was charged $40 for a full set with two nail designs by a different technician. First time getting my nails done! I normally paint my own nails to save some dough but couldn't pass up the opportunity when my friend offered to pay for a girl's mini spa day. We both opted for simple gel manicures.My nails have never looked this clean! I have super dry cuticles ... we had an appointment for 5:30pm on a Tuesday but we were both late. No worries though because it was a full house, didn't have to wait that long.Nancy made my first nail experience great! She trimmed my nails a bit after I gave her the go signal before filing/buffing them. My cuticles were pushed back and each hand was soaked in water one at a time as she diligently removed dry skin/cuticle. Again, my cuticles were so neat! I was surprised when she squirted some hand lotion on and gave my hands and lower arms a light massage, super comfortable! My hands were under the UV light at least 4x each, kinda stung near the cuticle. Base coat applied, 2 glittery red coats for the holidays, another glitter coat (the blue?), plus shiny top coat. I asked for a festive design (I had a photo) on my ring fingers. So cute! Anh drew the white design and added the gold glitter polish. A dab of cuticle oil on each nail and we were out the door after payment! They have 5 stars rewards. This place seems busy any day of the week. Have patience and go crazy with glitter! Read Less

I've heard good things about this place from people I know and this was suppose to be "one of the good places." I should've read the yelp reviews before I came here to spontaneously get my nails done with my brother's girlfriend. Wait time wasn't that long although they had a full house on a monday evening. My technician took her time shaping and filing my nails. I actually think she took more time on that than the actual design of my nail.... I asked for coffin shaped acrylics with a design on my ring finger. I specifically asked for marble nails on my ring finger and a mauve color I picked out on the rest of my fingers. She was painting my nails and everything was completely fine until she got to my ring finger..... Holy... I lost it when I saw her draw long streaks. At first I didn't think anything of it since I've never seen someone do a marble design on my nails, and thought maybe she'd do something else to make it look right but nope. I even showed her an image of the marble nails one of their technicians had done afterwards and her reply to me was simply, "you should've let me know if you wanted smaller lines." WHAT...She was such in a rush to go home that she barley took the time to properly do a marble. End result didn't even look marble, it looked like SMOKE. Now compared to Top Coat, I notice that this place doesn't delicately do your nails like they do. Top coat takes the time to massage my hands and clean my dead skin around my nails without me even having to ask. This place got right into it and I ended up going home with broad, thick and heavy nails that had acrylic powder painfully stuck on the side of my finger's skin. Absolutely loved K3!!!The girls in my family have been recommending it to me for a while now and I finally got the chance to try it and it definitely lived out to the hype!Thu did my full set, coffin shape nails and I LOVE THEM. They looks like they have decent manicures but save yourself if you want a pedicure. My sister in law made an appointment for us. They took forever to seat us, helped others that came in after us, and then separated us. She seemed to have a better time than me. Once someone finally started working on me, it just kept going down hill. She decided to look at her friend while cutting my cuticles. Needless to say, a had a few toes bleeding. I should have walked away then. She cut off the entirety of my toe nails. Buffed the top of my foot. Not even sure she tried to make any shape of my toe nails. And barely touched my foot with the pumas stone on my left but pushed so hard on my right foot, it left me in pain. The nail polish is all over my toes. She fucked up my first design so now I have 4 coats of pink and 1 coat of clear so obviously a toe or two is going to smug. Once she finally got a design on I thought I would be done but she kept adding to it and now I have a marijuana leaf on my toe.Had I not gone with my sister in law I would have left the second my water got cold and no one helped me. Jenn does amazing ombré nails!! I've come twice for her services and both times she did not disappoint. She works fast and efficiently, her shaping is even and the shape lasts for more than a week.. For other places, the nail techs paint the nails to the point where you lose the original shaping because they add too much polish at the ends... But Jenn makes sure the original nail shape isn't covered by the excess polish.. What Jenn also does that is different is that she makes a deep C curve when thinning the nail.. This also makes the shape last a lot longer than normal. You have to call in beforehand to request an appt with Jenn, she normally doesn't take walk-ins!I'm giving this place 5/5 stars for Jenn. But overall a 3/5 (I gave the average for the review) because the 1st time I went for a pedicure the lady that did it didn't do a great job.. she didn't smile the entire time and looked pretty annoyed at the fact that I requested to do French tip.. When I was finished and was waiting for Jenn I sat on a waiting chair that had fresh nail polish on the seat.. it got on my pants and hands. I moved to the next seat and told my pedicure lady. She handed me a small cotton swab for my hands but didn't wipe the seat I was telling her about. Some other lady sat on the same chair and it ended up getting on her too.. I ended up messing up my pinky toe from moving around.. the half dry nail polish ended up being scraped on top of the rest of the polish that was dry.. instead of erasing the nail polish and starting over my pedicure lady just painted fresh polish on top of it.. leaving my pinky toe with a small bump (which really bothered me) but I didn't say anything and just left.. I've been trying to find a really great nail salon for awhile now since I moved back from New York City, and of course you got a bunch of nail salons here in the Bay Area. I've recently been following K3 nails IG for quite some time now and I finally had a chance to try them out back in April this year. I arrived a few minutes early before they opened at 9:30am, and luckily I was able to get sat down and get my nails started by my own official nail tech, Van. She was able to get me my nails the way I want it the first time just by showing pictures and telling her how I want it. She'll recommend what personally looks good on you which I love also, I'll go with what she suggests since I'll leave it to her. I most definitely recommend her. She also does 3D nails which is really cute!On to my 3rd visit with Van, she doesn't disappoint every single time she does my nails! She's super amazing, I'm able to text her personally just to make an appointment.  I'm thankful to have her as my nail tech, thanks Van for making my nails beautiful each time, I always get good compliments but it's only because you did an amazing job! :) Read Less

I wanted to try this place out because everyone has high views on it. Kinda surprised where this place was because the plaza looked like a doctor's plaza.I'm give this place a 3 star because the person who did my nail didn't fill the nail in all the way to the cuticle. Also, one of my nails are crooked, they don't look like they come out natural-lumpy looking, the paint on my left thumb has bubbles, and the shape is too wide.I will definitely come back for Cindy for pedicure and Hanh for the encapsulated flower design! $10 extra for the design! I walked in and was helped right away (idk if it's always like that i guess i just got lucky) and i came in for like either a refill on my acrylics with chrome/holographic type nail or whatever i showed my nail lady (Hien? I believe) and she gave me something like it and said it was mermaid. So my nails were blue and kinda sparkly, fairy dust like and looked really good. She was nice and funny to talk to, and was quick but careful with her work. The refill is $23 and the mermaid styled nail as she said was an extra $10, so i paid $33 total and i believe if u want chrome or holographic it would also cost the same. This experience was overall pretty good; however, I had scheduled an appointment for my 2 friends and I and were told to wait a little over 15 minutes. My 2 friends had a great experience with their manicurists. On the contrary, my manicurist was quite the opposite. From the start, he didn't seem interested in doing my nails and for a person who has only gotten acrylic nails done once before, I didn't appreciate his negative attitude. I asked for a coffin set of nails and they ended up looking more square than I had asked for. Also, on a few of my nails, the polish has already chipped off and the paint job is uneven / bumpy. He also did not clean the under part of my nails post shaping of the nails. Great pricing; just wish the experience was more consistent with every nail artist. Read Less

Nail salon had very poor service and the technician greeting people was rude and unprofessional.  She was using vulgar language and calling customers names. They did not respect the appointment time. I still had to wait for 45 min and then they sat me in a chair to wait for another 15 for someone to attend me. Multiple customers were sitting in chairs with no service as they kept accepting more walk in customers.  The service was rushed and not well done. The technician made some nails an uneven shape and the gel had bubbles. Very displeased with the customer service at this salon. Read Less

I have come here a few times a year since 2013. Their services keep getting worst and worst. I went in on Monday morning, she. They open, to get a pedi. The lady scrub the side of my foot so much she not only scratched it but made it bleed. Yes I know my feet are dry but for her to rip My skin open!! It still hurts today 3 days later. I used to come here all the time and always got pretty good service, never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated. I came with a friend one time who had broken her nail pretty far down and let them know about it beforehand, asking if they could glue it so that it could grow out. The person who was originally helped us stepped away and a different girl started working on my friend's nails with the drill filer, which of course painfully tore my friend's nail. We had to have the manager come out and glue it (ended up gluing it onto her skin rather than nail), and we left. That experience has kept me from returning, along with how often the sides of my nails would be missed, which was a bummer! Read Less

This is the best Salon in both Milpitas and San Jose that I have found in a long time. I feel so relaxed and pampered when I come in to the salon. All of the Manicurist's do a great job. I get Pink and White done from Molly and my nails are flawless! I get asked quite alot by strangers, where I get my pretty and shiny nails done. I always say "K3 Nails and Spa", in Milpitas. I even bring my kids in here to get manicures and pedicures. My sons get the pedicures with me and my daughter goes for the manicure. This salon never makes you feel uncomfortable or rushed...if you want something special with your nails....I am sure that they will try to accomodate your wishes.
