My first (and last) encounter with Millbrae Nails was very disappointing. The lady who did my nails - forget her name - did not know how to properly apply gel polish nor apply acrylic on a broken nail. Another lady who was "more experienced" did the acrylic and based on the pictures, it's horrendous. I called 2 days later but no one returned my call. I came here 2 days ago for a mani-pedi because my sister had gotten me a gift certificate. Bad idea. Service was so rude. While getting my pedicure, Tammy throws me a bunch of sample colors and asks me to choose a color. As I start looking, Tammy then tells me to not look or move. After Tammy's done with my pedi, I asked if she had flip flops to walk around in the salon in for my mani, in which she rolls her eyes. As Tammy is doing my mani, she does an extremely sloppy job. Then, she starts yelling at me for my gel polish not drying fast enough but that's because she did not turn on the gel drying light for my nails to dry. I m still having her do my nails while writing this review.    This place doesnt have any customers service at all.   She is sanding off my gel nail top while i m picking out color.   She yell at my cuz i m moving my hand.   She said i need to stay still while she is sanding my top coat.    Its not like i m moving my whole body,  i m just moving my opposite hand with little motion.  If you are an experience skilled person.   This wouldnt effect the way you work.   I m a customer,  came in expecting to relax.   I m not here to pay you and yell at me.   I really wanted to leave already but this hour is the only time i hv to do my nail.   But i will never come back again Read Less

Back in the day when I had a cuticle picking problem, I discovered the magic of gel mani's and was astonished at the technology (admittedly I came late to the game :-), so I loved my experience here--they were meticulous and did the job very well. I also appreciated they encouraged me to come back for removal, anticipating the urge to peel it off. Notwithstanding that I didn't end up going back, I'd recommend them. They're a tad pricier than others in the area but very conveniently located, with a clean and bright salon. Read Less

Only reason why they dont get 4 stars is....twice I have had a new girl and she rushed and didnt do a full pedicure. Other than that, the usual ladies I go to..are great. Friendly staff. Hard workers. I do recommend. Read Less

Have gotten gel and regular manis and pedicures here and they are always very meticulous and careful, but they don't take forever.  Always accommodating and convenient. My nails look great and last well. Read Less

1) My appointment was at 9 but the manicurist did not arrive until around 9:20. 2) The acrylics were the worst set that were lumpy and were extremely sloppily done. 3) The manicurist worked on my nails while working on another girl. 4) The tips were not even close to fitting my nails and there were sharp edges jabbing my nail bed. 5) Also note that I got my nails done Saturday and had to get them off on the following Wednesday because they were too painful. This may have been my worst experience at a nail bar ever. I will not be returning and I do not recommend this place at all. Read Less
