I came to diamond nails being new to the area. They were recommended by a friend so I was open to it. I brought my sister, and we chatted with the technicians about how she was starting college soon and a few other topics. I didn't return for over a MONTH and they not only knew my name, they asked where my sister was and if she had started school yet! They have always been so sweet and caring. best waxing experience ever. Hands down. My best friend and I were strolling through downtown mill valley after Sunday brunch when we just so happened to stumble upon this benefit boutique. She had came here a few times for her Brazilian and highly recommended it. I don't know if it was due to the bottomless mimosas at brunch or the beautiful weather that made me so spontaneous, but her raving about it made me decide I needed to try this location out. We booked an appointment online and within the next hour, I was matched up with Connie who did an absolute amazing job. And by amazing I mean it was quick and nearly painless. Mill Valley has some of the best stores, and this is one of them.  Not because it's a makeup store, but because the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and good salespeople!  The items seem to be more pricey than other stores, and certainly a smaller space, although I still managed to spend over an hour here.  :) Read Less

Today I went in for an acrylic fill-in, cut down, with gel polish. I go to pay and they charge me for a gel fill-in and gel polish. After I told them that I did not get a gel fill-in, that it was acrylic, they tell me that acrylic and gel is the same. I've been going to nail salons long enough to know that this is not true. However, they still charged me for it. I paid $35 for an acrylic fill-in, cut down and gel polish, which in all of the salons I've been to (including this one before new management took over) runs around $28. They also told me that in all of Wilmington that all the nail salons charge the same as they do. Again, most definitely not true. I will not be back. Read Less

My first experience with SNS was with a different salon. My nails peeled the first day and by day 3, my nails were breaking. The very day I left Diamond Nails, I had to cook and clean shrimp for a church dinner....I was a nervous wreck! Well, my nails never lost their shine, and on day 3 (Wednesday), my nails are as shiny and beautiful as the day (Sunday) they were done. I went in here for my first time at this location for a simple eyebrow wax. I had to point out that she had missed an entire section. She seemed distracted by other clients and was not paying attention. It was $21 and my eyebrows look TERRIBLE and it hasn't even been a week. I would go anywhere else but here to be groomed. I hate giving a bad review but had an absolutely horrible brow experience here and want to save people from ever enduring this same thing. I had a great experience here before with someone else, but came in and saw Connie for a brow thread. I am very clear that I only like very minimal clean up and like to keep my brows thick and natural even if it means leaving some messy hairs around them. She said she understood but proceeded to thread into the top part of my brow. I didn't fully notice until I got home, but my brows were completely uneven and honestly looks like a botched brow job. The brows don't just look different from each other, but my left brow looks like a toddler took a pair of scissors to my face. My fiancee, who wouldn't so much as notice if I dyed my hair blue, immediately said I looked different and that something was wrong with my brows. The worst brow experience I have ever had hands down. I'm more than a little traumatized, so if it hasn't scared me off from ever letting another aesthetician touch my face, I will be sure no one I know ever risks seeing Connie. It takes forever (and sometimes never) for the hair above your brows to grow back. Have been coming here for about ten years. Love that I can book services online now. Get waxing and tints done here and purchase some makeup and eye cream. It's comforting the store has a standard of training and certification for the aesthetician and you know you are getting professional service of a company with an established name. The girls are always friendly and outgoing. The only thing is the girls are so confident after awhile they stop paying attention to detail. Like the wax is sometimes too hot becasue it's been sitting n the warmer for a long time. If you make a comment it isn't always turned down or allowed to cool. They should really check it before beginning anyway. Also, some (not everyone) rub really hard on the eyes when doing tints or applying makeup, etc. Training should include awareness and reminders of the importance if details. Read Less

On July 2nd, 2016, I had my eyebrows waxed and tinted and my makeup done for a wedding. Everything turned out great, and I looked like a prettied up version of myself. I usually go to the benefit at the Macy's but I decided to give this one a try, I can't say I will be back. The girl was done too quick left many feeling like I still needed to go home and touch up some stray hairs she left she didn't cut some of my brows as well. After coming here years ago for lash tints, I came back hoping to receive the same professional experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The woman who did my treatment (Lisa) rushed through my entire treatment (5-8 min max?). She would not warn me before touching my face or pouring water on my eyes, leaving me startled and my dress with wet marks. She was also very rough when removing the tint and I have raw patches on the corners of my eyes. To top it all of, when paying, she asked me if I had cash for gratuity. I received a really severe burn on both sides after a brow wax today.  It is really painful, swollen and extremely ugly-looking and it's only been a few hours, I am afraid to see what it looks like tmrw morning.  I have always received brow waxes regularly for decades, do not use any crazy skin creams nor do I have overly sensitive skin.  The fact is that the technician (Connie M) was rushing, the wax was way too hot and she put it on all the way down to almost my eye lids where the skin is even thinner... I won't ever be back...... ever. Had my brows done here. The lighting was SO, SO bad that I could not see what the person was doing. I asked the clinician to check the sides ofmy face for a few black loose strands. Well, she couldn't feel them, and we could notsee them. But they were there. Benefit Boutique does not have a magnifying mirror, the lighting is low, it is ridiculous.I feel like I wasted 21 dollars, plus tip. Two ladies working there agreed that the lighting was not good.There are so many good places just across the street, it is just that these places are not so easy to get an appointment at the last minute. This is probably the best Benefits Boutique I been so far, the ladies are talented at matching your color and guiding the best make up for you! The usual ladies I go to is Salvie, who taught me which product was best for my skin. BTW, the booboo zap is AMAZING. Best purchase I made so far in acne solution! Whether its a tiny pimple, it zaps it. I probably bought almost every product in this store lol. I also get my brows wax here, I been using castor oil to grow my eyebrows back and it grew back tremendously!! Audra is so helpful and pretty fabulous with what she do as an esthetician! She cleans my eyebrow so neatly, my eyebrows are life right now!! The only two ladies I go to at this Benefits Boutique. It's quite small, but the products are amazing!
