Here is my honest and first time visit review... I broke a nail and needed a last minute fix since my normal nail salon friend was out due to an ear infection and my backup was fully booked so I decided to try the next closest salon to where I live. A man answered the phone and when I said I was available now - he replied with a quick "ok no problem and see you soon"! Haha. He didn't take down my name or number or anything... so I quickly jumped in my vehicle and drove the 5 minutes down the street for my very informal appointment. I was seated immediately (bonus points) with nail technician "Kelly" who I believe is the pregnant one that someone complained about in a previous review. She was quick and also patient with me while I was picking out my colors. As she was checking out my two broken nails and filling my nails she told me that there would be "no charge" for the two nails I had broken. Which I was happy to hear since the last time I broke a nail another salon provided the same service and even changed the color on my gel acrylics for a total of 4 nails with no charge... but I also didn't expect this. Upon check out I was charged $40 for my acrylic fill with gel and I asked if it was normally $40 for the fill with acrylic. The lady ringing me up said that it was $35 plus $5 to fix my two broken nails. I'm not one for confrontation so I just paid the $40 plus left Kelly a cash tip and was on my way.I don't like to make stinks when I'm told one thing and something else is done - however I do like to pass the info on. Expect to be charged $5 to get two nails fixed here. Next if you're wondering if I am pleased with the set... I have posted some photos of them and overall i AM pleased. They feel good and didn't take much time out of my day. HOWEVER - there are some discrepancies in the length of my nails. I am super OCD but also super non-confrontational. I will not tell them to re-do my nails... just not my style. I wish Kelly had paid a little more attention to detail about keeping my nails the same length... however overall they look good. There was also nothing done about my cuticles... not really tripping but I thought that typically before a fill it's normal procedure to push and trim those back a bit? Eh. But then again I'm probably wrong. 3 stars because their color selection is awesome, service was quick and friendly, and I'm mostly happy with my nails. Short 2 stars because I was told one thing and charged another and because they could pay a little more attention to length of nail details. Thank you for reading my review!Have a great day!

I bite my nails (unfortunately ) but I've been growing them out the best I can. I got my nails done here & honestly one of the best experiences ever. They didn't make me feel uncomfortable about my length or my habit. They also caught on to me looking at the shape and knew without me even asking to round them off a little more. 5/5 my go-to nail place now

Wow! I finally found a nail salon that was clean and do incredible work. I wear pink and white acrylic on my nails and after looking at the Yelp reviews I decided to try Lucky V Salon in Martinez. Kristy (one of the owners) soaked off my current set of nails and gave me a new set. Kristy was fast, efficient and did an excellent job. My nails look great. I will definitely be back and happy to refer my family and friends to this salon for quality work and great customer service.

The story of how I found this place is long and complicated. Suffice it to say I've been a couple of times and had 2 gel pedicures and 4 fills over the course of 6-8 weeks. I admit that 2 of my nails have a stain from fungus due to poor service at a Walnut Creek nail salon. It's almost grown out. The guy who did my nails the first 3 times did an OK job and I was happy enough. They aren't too good at shaping the nails or painting them, but it was good enough. 4 out of 5. But the last time I went, the pregnant lady did my nails and the polish started chipping within days. I noticed last night (1 week after my fill) that I now have 2 new nails with fungus growing under the polish. It's horrible and I'm so upset. It will take months for all this to grow out. She did not ask my what shape I wanted and was not consistent--some are square and some are square/round, some are fat and some are thin--when I tried to talk to her about it, she got defensive and told me to wait to the end to judge. And then gave me nail fungus. I will not be going here again and will tell everyone to avoid the place. Sorry, guys, but you ruined my nails for the next 6 months.

Got a gel mani and a regular pedi, and so far so good. They took me at the appointed appointment time (one of the reasons I broke up with one of my old shops was that they took advantage of old timers -- assuming we'd be ok with less good service while they took care of walk-ins), color selection was fine, and the salon seemed clean. We shall see how long this gel mani lasts.

I saw all of the good reviews and decided to go here because I'm very picky LOL the lady was very quick on giving me a full set and she even cleaned up underneath and all the edges which any other Salon I went to would not do. I did have to go back because a couple hours later, one of the nail polishes started to peel off, but she apologized and quickly fixed it without any problem. They're very professional and I'm definitely going to be coming back :-)

Pedicures are decent, and consistent. Typically very busy, recommend calling ahead for an appointment.

Just went there and had a wonderful experience! He took a LOT of time to make sure I had exactly what I wanted for my New Years nails. We tried a design, it didn't quite work, but he had another one in mind and he made sure the shape was exactly how I wanted it to look and made sure throughout the whole process. Was very patient throughout the whole process! Couldn't have asked for better service! As I was there, it seems there are a lot of returning customers as they were asking about each other's families and happy to be coming back!

I've waited for an awesome nail salon to open in the area for a year. Found it! They have a lot of colors and styles to choose from. Quality nail polish that won't chip after a few days, can take walk ins AND appointments, and the service is always polite and professional. I've visited this lovely little place 3 times already the past few months and I love it!

After 2 months of going to this establishment, here's the good and the bad. * 5 stars for amazing color selection * 5 stars for organization and cleanliness* 5 stars for quality of shaping and natural. appearance of acrylic. * 1 Star for ability to handle the amount of business they have. I had an appointment, all I had done was a fill and I was there a total of 2 hours (no exaggeration). * 1 Star for ability to manage customers with more than a pedi and fill. When I called for an appointment I also asked for waxing. When I arrived and waited 20 minutes (with an appointment) I asked if we could do the waxing while I waited. "Sure, give us a moment". Never came. Provided my fill and when done I asked about the waxing and was told, let me see. "No, sorry. She is busy". Too bad they could have made more money. *1 Star for quality and staying power of acrylic. 2 months after they put on a band new set, food and water were getting in between my nail and the acrylic. I have had acrylic nails for 20 years and this was by far the most painless and easy set to take off. I would rather go back to Nail Spa and More, their nails last and never lift. I wish them the best and hope that one day they can get the rest of their business together. From outword appearances they have potential. They need to get the details right.

My salon of 6 years has been steadily declining in the quality of their nails so I decided to venture and try a new salon. At the recommendation of several people I gave Lucky V a try and man, I was not disappointed. I got a fill and asked Jason to shape my nails into a sharper coffin and even out the thickness (both of which were a result of my original full set from my previous salon). Jason takes his time and ensure each nail is up to your liking and his. He is gentle, kind, and a true artist who takes value in his work. The salon itself is clean, great color selection, good location...what more could a girl ask for?! Thank you Lucky V!

Here's as follows:C L E A N L I N E S SSuper clean - I'm a licensed cosmetologist and I felt no worries about sanitation here. Everything was sterilized and changed before each client. N A I L D E S I G N SI get short coffin style or kitty claws, depending on how I was feeling. My coffin/ballet slipper nail shape looks amazing!!! They also are the only shop I've come across that has chromeP R I C EExceptionally reasonable. When I was in Walnut Creek, I paid the same price for mediocre quality. I feel like they take their time and not rush through their appointment to get the next one in. L O C A T I O NThere is a parking lot that can kind of fill up quickly. It shares a lot with a wax center and coffee shop. Bit free parking! Q U A L I T YI would highly recommend them. I honestly couldn't say enough good things. They actually care about the work leaving versus the quantity of getting more people in their chair. O V E R A L LThis will be my nail spot. Heck, it may even become my long term nail spot. I found Lucky V Salon on Yelp and had to try it out based on all of the good reviews. After one visit, I can confidently say that this is now my go-to nail salon!I called to schedule a last-minute mani/pedi appointment and they were able to accommodate me right away (weekday afternoon). The salon is easy to find and there is a small parking lot in front. The interior is very clean and the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly.I was amazed with the quality of their pedicure service. The pedicure included a foot soak, sugar scrub, and hot stone massage. The manicure service also came with a hand massage. My appointment ended up lasting two hours because I got regular nail polish (drying time), but I didn't mind because the spa/massage chair was ultra comfortable and relaxing. My nails are now perfectly shaped, clean, and look great. I'm very happy with them and with Lucky V Salon! Also, their pricing is very reasonable--$35 for mani/pedi with regular polish. I will definitely be back soon!

Here is my honest and first time visit review... I broke a nail and needed a last minute fix since my normal nail salon friend was out due to an ear infection and my backup was fully booked so I decided to try the next closest salon to where I live. Wow! I finally found a nail salon that was clean and do incredible work. I wear pink and white acrylic on my nails and after looking at the Yelp reviews I decided to try Lucky V Salon in Martinez. Kristy (one of the owners) soaked off my current set of nails and gave me a new set. Kristy was fast, efficient and did an excellent job. My nails look great. I admit that 2 of my nails have a stain from fungus due to poor service at a Walnut Creek nail salon. It's almost grown out. The guy who did my nails the first 3 times did an OK job and I was happy enough. They aren't too good at shaping the nails or painting them, but it was good enough. 4 out of 5. But the last time I went, the pregnant lady did my nails and the polish started chipping within days. Never came. Provided my fill and when done I asked about the waxing and was told, let me see. "No, sorry. She is busy". Too bad they could have made more money. *1 Star for quality and staying power of acrylic. 2 months after they put on a band new set, food and water were getting in between my nail and the acrylic. I have had acrylic nails for 20 years and this was by far the most painless and easy set to take off. I would rather go back to Nail Spa and More, their nails last and never lift. I wish them the best and hope that one day they can get the rest of their business together. From outword appearances they have potential. They need to get the details right.

My salon of 6 years has been steadily declining in the quality of their nails so I decided to venture and try a new salon. At the recommendation of several people I gave Lucky V a try and man, I was not disappointed. I got a fill and asked Jason to shape my nails into a sharper coffin and even out the thickness (both of which were a result of my original full set from my previous salon). Jason takes his time and ensure each nail is up to your liking and his. He is gentle, kind, and a true artist who takes value in his work. The salon itself is clean, great color selection, good location...what more could a girl ask for?! Thank you Lucky V!

So I wanted to wait till I had visited this place more than once to give my review. Here's as follows:C L E A N L I N E S SSuper clean - I'm a licensed cosmetologist and I felt no worries about sanitation here. Everything was sterilized and changed before each client. N A I L D E S I G N SI get short coffin style or kitty claws, depending on how I was feeling. My coffin/ballet slipper nail shape looks amazing!!! They also are the only shop I've come across that has chromeP R I C EExceptionally reasonable. When I was in Walnut Creek, I paid the same price for mediocre quality. I feel like they take their time and not rush through their appointment to get the next one in. L O C A T I O NThere is a parking lot that can kind of fill up quickly. It shares a lot with a wax center and coffee shop. Bit free parking! Q U A L I T YI would highly recommend them. I honestly couldn't say enough good things. They actually care about the work leaving versus the quantity of getting more people in their chair. O V E R A L LThis will be my nail spot. Heck, it may even become my long term nail spot. My normal nail tech (3 years together) is on maternity leave. So I will gladly venture to Martinez for my nails

I found Lucky V Salon on Yelp and had to try it out based on all of the good reviews. After one visit, I can confidently say that this is now my go-to nail salon!I called to schedule a last-minute mani/pedi appointment and they were able to accommodate me right away (weekday afternoon). The salon is easy to find and there is a small parking lot in front. The interior is very clean and the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly.I was amazed with the quality of their pedicure service. The pedicure included a foot soak, sugar scrub, and hot stone massage. The manicure service also came with a hand massage. My appointment ended up lasting two hours because I got regular nail polish (drying time), but I didn't mind because the spa/massage chair was ultra comfortable and relaxing. My nails are now perfectly shaped, clean, and look great. I'm very happy with them and with Lucky V Salon! Also, their pricing is very reasonable--$35 for mani/pedi with regular polish. I will definitely be back soon!
