UGH!! Just don't! I am new to town and normally get the dipping powder because it's natural and doesn't destroy my nails. So that's not really a California thing so I just went with the gel. First the guy doing my nails told me there was no such thing as organic dipping powder, I told him I could prove it - conversation over. I told him I just wanted gel, he wanted to put some type of build up on my nails, which I can't have due to my job, after he kept repeating he wanted to this I said if he didn't understand do NOT do my nails. Anyway, got them done they looked OK but chipped 4 days later and kept chipping. First time visitor, I came based on others' glowing Yelp reviews. I had the deluxe pedi. The middle-aged woman who worked on me was careful and meticulous and was not at all rough with filing & cuticles or even towels, as some technicians are. Never hurt me once and I can't say that about a lot of salons. The extra pampering is nice, and my massages were nice and long, and seriously better than many "foot massages" I've had. The lady knew what she was doing. The owner was friendly. The woman messed up one big toe polish - she thought it was dry, but no. So she just calmly did it over again. It doesn't look as good as my other big toe, which is why 4 stars and not 5. But it was a great pedi and I'll be back. Read Less

Nathan I think you have lost your touch. Today I felt very rushed.  My nail length is very uneven. They are all different shape and crocked as well. I told you I bent my pinky nail back and it was very sore. You grinded on it so hard it started to burn. It does not seen like you want to be doing this any more. Read Less

So I'm torn about how to rate my experience. My nails look great and Holly did a great job as far as looks go. But when I walked in an older woman with glasses put the tips on my nails and was very rough around my cuticle and cut my thumb. Then when I moved over to Holly she was also quite rough and cut my thumb even more. Read Less

I love coming here I'm so picky with how my nails look shape wise and all. Nathan and holly are amazing I always call and make sure one of them is gonna take care of me when I come in. They don't rush you and always give you their honest opinions and don't try to make you do something you don't want to do like most places. Prices also never change I love it. I went to luxury nails and spa yesterday. I got a pedicure and manicure with gel. Instead of it being a relaxing experience (that I needed) it was extremely painful and uncomfortable. The lady who was doing my toes made them bleed because she was being very aggressive with the cuticle. Today my toes hurt and I think my big toe is infected.  (It's red and painful to walk on). When she put the gel lamp on my feet it started getting very hot and the lady was yelling at me to stop moving.  I told her "it was burning my foot" but she should know how hot the lamps get. I was considering just leaving but they put me with a gentleman and he seemed better. However,  the lady who worked on my toes switched places with him and she proceeded to make my fingers bleed.  She seemed really frustrated with me when I didn't know when to switch my hands but would not properly communicate what she wanted me to do. She was aggressive with my hands and I felt rushed, in pain, and uncomfortable with the whole experience.  I would NOT recommend this nail salon. Read Less

After a long time of neglecting my feet, I decided to come in for a pedicure. I am so happy and satisfied with the establishment  and customer service. I was not planning on a mani, but got convinced. I am so happy i did because my nails look so beautiful. The ladies are very nice and my pedicure was great. That said, I will definitely become a regular at this establishment. The only complaint is that the jets were not on when I got my pedicure. Other than that, I love my mani and pedi. Read Less

Love my nails!! I just got done getting my nails done here for the first time. I called and made an appointment and they accommodated me right away when I arrived 5 minutes early. **Update: After posting my review the owner, Nathan, contacted me and apologized for my experience. He assured me he spoke to the manicurist and hopefully no one else will experience what I did. He invited me to try his shop again, which I'm undecided about. But his apology is greatly appreciated.**My friend and I went here yesterday and my first experience here was ruined by 1 manicurist. My friend had been going here for a while and she likes the colors they have for gel polish so I thought I'd give them a try. I already had gel polish so I got seated first to get it removed. The first woman that was helping me took out a drill to remove my polish. I was concerned since I'd never had that used on me before. But as I was staring at her work she was very precise and careful to only remove the polish, not file away at my actual nail. After she finished another woman sat down to cut and paint my nails.That's when the horror began. I have thick nails that are very curved. So when she grabbed the nail clippers and tried to cut my nail straight across in one go it was a bad idea. But she proceeded to do so despite me flinching a few times. After the cut she used a coarse nail file to roughly file my nails down further. Then came the cuticles, again roughly pushing them back and taking out the cuticle cutters. She poked, prodded, and ended up cutting the cuticles on 2 of my fingers (pics posted) to the point they were obviously bleeding. Not a single sorry. Yes, I should've said something but I didn't. My friend sitting next to me was done already since she didn't need polish removed. At this point the woman doing my nails starts rushing even more. The real kicker was at the end. After curing the last coat they wipe your nails off with rubbing alcohol or whatever. She does this but goes back to my 2 cut fingers and furiously rubs at my cuts to get the blood off (I'm assuming to hide evidence of what she did). It hurt so I recoiled my hand from her as she's staring at me as if I did something wrong. I was so upset with her I didn't get her name, I paid and left (even left a tip which I regret now). If you go here do NOT let this woman touch your nails! She's older (40's- 50's) and has glasses that look like the lens are one piece. She's probably newer since my friend had not seen her before. Enjoyed the Mani pedi and fell in love with the blue glitter nail polish. Asked if the had a bottle to sell me since I was leaving to Michigan the next day. and the girl said no. As I paid to leave, they miraculously found a bottle which I happily bought for $5. When it was time to freshen my polish, I opened the bottle to find I bought a bottle of old polish that they had poured acetone in to loosen, which was not only lumpy and GROSS, the acetone ate all the blue off the glitter. I couldn't return it because I was in Michigan. COMPLETE GARBAGE and I tell everyone I can not to support these swindlers. Seeing how I blog on a page with over 75,000 followers, that measly $5 cost them a lot more in the long run. Now they know. Read Less
