JENNY!! Talk about a nail wizard! Slayyyy girl! She's absolutely amazing at her work, she's super gentle, and she takes her time. She's very open to ideas and gave me the exact nails I wanted! The salon is so cute, like a boutique style with a separate area for pedicures. My pedicure was with MiMi, she was also sweet and my toes look great. I would recommend making an appointment because it seems like they get pretty busy. The parking was also kinda hard to find, there's only Street parking and no parking lot. Overcharged for terrible nails! I just visited this place with my roommate. There were several things that made our experience bad. 1. They misshaped both of our nails. My roommate ask for square and got round, and when she asked the nail tech to fix it, she told her "You're nail beds are shaped like this and that's just the way it is" Then my pedicurist misshaped my toes, one is round and the other is crooked. 2. They scammed us! We sat down and they asked us to pick a lotion flavor, so we did. But what we didnt know, was this was their way of upcharging us for a deluxe pedicure - which is an additional $10 3. My toes are completely wrecked! The polish was totally still wet when I left and I was sitting try to let them dry but they kept saying, "Come pay in front" so I did and walked out and noticed my right foot was completely messed up! 4. Lastly, they were completely overpriced! I walked out with misshaped nails, and completely demolished toes paying $79! ALSO - They dont take credit card. I come for pedicures and I find that this place is worth the somewhat higher price they charge.  I don't find the staff to be overly warm or friendly, but the pedicure is very thorough, with different kinds of scrubs and lotions. Personally, I find the massage on the leg too hard, but that could just be me. The back room with the foot spa stations is a bit dark and stark, but it is also quiet, which I appreciate. The atmosphere is amazing and there service is above and beyond. we got pedicures for my best friends birthday and the hot stone message was so relaxing especially when it's so cold out. Then I decided to treat myself to a manicure and Ti was so friendly and nice and my nails came out perfect I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she just did it. Will definitely be going back. I've been to this nail salon on and off over 20 years. It's pretty nice in there and it's a decent location downtown LG. Parking is a pain here.About 10 years ago they had a technician named Tom, and he was excellent at manicures; I had gel at the time. He was very sweet and professional.When he left, I decided not to try someone else at the time and went back to my natural nails and give them a breather. The gel damages your real nails and makes them weak and sad.A couple of years ago my daughter purchased me a gift certificate for this place, so I had to go and I got Jackie, she turned out to be excellent so I went to her for a couple of months for fills. She decided to leave and open her own salon, I was so happy and excited for her...the owner of this place is a awful woman...she has this attitude of self importance and arrogance. That is the reason I stopped going there, I don't want to fill her pockets with my cash! Anyway Jackie is amazing and her new salon is adorbs.Actually the owner was at the front desk when I went in for the very first time, she was TOTALLY unfriendly and not welcoming to a new customer.The owner of a business is the face of the business and it's important to make customers feel welcome and important. I've had many successful businesses in my life and I know all about excellent customer service.I didn't get that so maybe she didn't like me for whatever reason, I could care less than less, but wanted to respond to her disturbing response to my review, I guess the brutal truth hurts. I am giving them a 5, even though my gel manicure took longer than normal.... but they made sure my nails were perfect before I left. The manicurist totally could've just let me walk out with nails that would've peeled or chipped immediately. They had to redo a few nails almost three times. Due to the polish or the dryer. Regardless, Some people probably would've been upset, but I appreciate the attention to detail and I will say they do look amazing! My first time and would definitely go back if I'm in town again! This is my new spot in town! I used to go to La Orquedia until I realized I could get the same quality for far far less money. After talking to my hairdresser at Evolve, she recommended this place and it was amazing!  They opened at 9am so I could go first thing in the morning and go about my day feeling great !They were very patient when I couldn't decide which color to choose from in their enormous selection of color and finishes.  Great conversation in the nail salon and when it was complete, I was surprised at the awesome prices.   Beautiful job and the manager seem to be cool Can't wait to go back !!! I found Tsume on Yelp and they had decent reviews. I really liked all the nail pictures so I decided to call and make an appointment. They had an appointment available same day (yay!). Based on the Yelp reviews I requested Jenny.So I get to the salon 10 minutes early and I'm asked to take a seat and pick out colors, which I do. Jenny got me seated and starts with my pedicure. Halfway through I remember reading on Yelp they only take check and cash so I confirmed the payment methods they accepted. Jenny informed me they only take cash and check. Okay, no worries. I brought cash with me but I was not sure how much the regular pedicure and shellac manicure was and I wanted to make sure I had enough $$$ on me so I asked for the cost. Jenny let me know it was $70. Okay, not too bad. It's Los Gatos after all.Jenny continued to do the pedicure. I have to say here that at this point we have not talked at all. I haven't had a pedicure done in a while so my toes were in dire need and I apologized in the beginning and Jenny said well that's why you're here. Beyond that -- NO conversation at all.While Jenny's working on my toes, I overhear a customer walk in and inquire about the cost of a shellac manicure and I hear it's $35. So a shellac manicure is $35 and a regular pedicure (no shellac) is $35? What??????? So I asked Jenny that if the shellac manicure is $35 and a regular pedicure is $35, then how much is a shellac pedicure?!?! Jenny tells me it's $50. What?!?!?!?! Seriously? So then I remembered reading other reviews that referred to packages so I asked her what packages they offer. She just looked at me and then goes "Well it's $50 for shellac pedicure with massage. $35 without massage" ... Umm...okay. So then I told her I would prefer to just get the $35 shellac pedicure, no massage (I'm ticklish and I don't really care for massages). That's kind of when it got really awkward and went downhilll fast. I think Jenny got annoyed b/c I didn't want to spent $50 on a shellac pedicure and massage so she rushed through the shellac. I timed how long she spent painting my toes and it was under 4 minutes. 4 minutes for shellac. Wow. In addition, the nail polish wasn't applied evenly. You can see streaks :-/ I didn't want to say anything because I felt really uncomfortable and awkward at this point. I felt like I was getting tricked with prices but that's my own fault for not asking about the prices before my appointment.I made the appointment for a pedi and mani so then after the pedicure is finished, Jenny asks me to move to the front. She asked me if I have a color picked out and I showed her a picture of an ombre color combo. At this point Jenny told me you can't do ombre on natural nails, only on acrylic. Which isn't true. I've had ombre done on my nails before. At this point I told Jenny I think I'll just get the pedi and head out. If you don't want to offer ombre on natural nails then say that. Don't say it's not possible :-/When I moved to the front I did see prices posted but there was no reference to any kind of packages they offer.Needless to say, I will not be returning. This salon did not "click" with me. Not a good fit for me. I want to give them 2.5 stars but that's not possible so 2 it is. I think mainly because of how awkward and uncomfortable the experience was. Salon time is supposed to be relaxing and I did not feel relaxed.+ Salon is very clean+ Salon is decorated cutely and they had very calm music playing+ $35 for a shellac manicure is very reasonable+ Really good job on the pedicure+ Appointment availability- They only take cash or check (Check? I love going here to get my nails done! They are always on time and get your nails done in a timely manner. The staff is so nice, and can do almost any type of nails design. Prices aren't bad either. Would definitely recommend going here! Read Less

Really welcoming place. I liked how my nail polish turned out and all but my only complain is how my previous nail polish was not removed properly and I can still see the black nail color when I look at it from the side. The pedicure was super worth it. First she scrubbed my feet using a cucumber scrub then she lathered a mud pack on it while she trimmed my toe nails etc and it includes paraffin wax treatment and a nice hot stones massage. I had my eye brows waxed as well. Only giving a 4 star since my manicure didn't look perfect, otherwise it was a 5 star experience. *update, one nail chipped on Sunday, barely 2 day of having done a gel manicure and that has never happened to me before and I do minimal chores so it's definitely due to the application of the polish. Love Tsume! Actually really professional, they schedule appointments and don't miss them and are really punctual! The owner is amazing, she's funny and personable. While this place is professional, it is also super personal, they get to know you. I also like that they don't treat their workers like they are commodities, they seem like family and they really care about one another and their time! They're updating the salon and while it was clean and relaxing before, I am super excited to see the new layout, tables and chairs!! I don't understand what all the talk about is about it being dirty. Maybe the competitors are writing this stuff, but tsume nails is very clean and professional. I have been going here for two years now and everytime they welcome me , they know me by name, they make me comfortable and i have seen how they clean. They are CONSTANTLY cleaning. Things have changed at Tsume Nail Salon. I moved away from California two years ago. I used to go to this place nearly every 10 days or so. It was lovely then. Now...it has changed, it is not very clean. I was sooo disappointed! The owner is unpleasant, sarcastic and snooty with clients. I have never written a review before but I felt so strongly about my experience there that I thought it was important for people to know. However, this nail salon has changed and I was so very disappointed. The owner became angry with a client while I was there. The poor woman was in tears. We were all stressed as the owner screamed at her customer! Talk about unprofessional! The manicurists were unpset, the customers were upset, it was a scene that is for sure. One manicurist was crying and all were apologizing to everyone. They said that the owner had been very stressed lately. This is no excuse. It was such an unpleasant place. I would gladly pay more anywhere. I truly felt sorry for the people who work for her. She seems very unpleasant in every possible way. I will never go back. In fact, if it were not for the fact that I had to have the manicure finished for a party, I would have left that very moment. As soon as I could, I went to a different spa...one with class and one that is healthy...true, more expensive...but well worth the peace of mind. There, I had my nails completely checked and redone because I was afraid that I would get nail fungus. I have been going to this salon for about 6 years. They have always been polite and very professional. I have never had a problem changing an appointment when it is necessary. My manicurist, Thy, has even come in early when I need an appointment because I will be traveling. They give the best manicures and pedicures I have ever had. Never a broken acrylic nail. Never lifting or yellowing. The constant vietnamese chatter is disconcerting at times and I do wish they would make an effort to speak english.Read Less

I' ve been going to this salon for 5 years and I liked it because is clean and close to home. There are never on time with my appointments and the salon has a policy, if they are not on time with y our appointment, the service will be free. I never complained about it, because I was there to relax on the weekends. Recently for the first time in 5 years I had to reschedule an appt within 24 hours and Tom one of the employees made such a big deal about it and told the entire salon about it. When I got there for my appointment I had Tom and Vivian another employee in my face telling me how come I had to reschedule and then they start talking in Vietnamese, which of course I k new they were talking about me. It was really upsetting but I let it go. I called last week to make an appointment and they told me that no one could do the service because I was a problem customer with rescheduling appointments. I was mortified and I could not believe that a one time thing after 5 years of giving them my business, they could turn around and do this. I have giving Sally the owner so much business throughout the years. Every time I go I take 2 or 3 of my friends or family members with me for services in that salon. I thought Sally was a lot more professional then this but I was completely wrong. I told all my friends and clients of Tsume of what happened and they will not be coming back.... Great place, however rude staff and if you have an emergency please don't call and cancel or recschedule you will have the salon against you. Read Less

At Tsume Salon they use only the best products. My acrylics never lift and a fill will last a month. They are friendly and professional. The only complaint that I have is that I can't get in on short notice. The pedicures are great. Read Less
