Beware of this place! Purchased a Groupon & made an appointment for a meni pedi. I came down with the flu & requested for my appointment to be rescheduled. While I was barely able to talk with my sore throat & cold, somehow managed to leave them a voicemail requesting a call back. The owner is super rude & instead of being accommodating of my situation, she ended up being super uptight & said they won't honor my groupon since my appointment wasn't cancelled in the first place. Glad this saved me from making a trip all the way to South bay. With this attitude, and other reviews I didn't feel so bad in the end. I rather have some place value their customers. Read Less

PLEASE, whatever you do, DO NOT go to this place!!! I won't ever be back to this place, this was the worst experience of my life.Such garbage and a complete waste of time. All they wanted is more money from me. What they were supposed to do they just said "oh this is extra, this extra". You have to pay more then you were expecting and after you will get such ugly nails. It's such a dirty and old place... you will regret coming here. The most rudest people. It was impossible to communicate with the woman doing my nails. This lady didn't even speak English and didn't understand any of my requests.They are working just for cash but she never mentioned it when you are booking the appointment. Booked mani-pedis for my daughter and myself using two Groupons.  *  First, when we arrived, the owner said they were running about 20 minutes late so they couldn't accommodate both of us at the time of our appointment.  I let my daughter go first. Turned out to be 30 minutes before I got started.*  The service for me was okay but for my daughter it was impossible to communicate with the woman doing her mani-pedi because she didn't speak English. My daughter's nails were filed in a way that she does not like (pointy) and she couldn't get through on this point in time to fix it.  *  At the end, the owner told us that the pedicures in the "salon chairs" are $5 more than regular pedicures (I never heard of such a thing!  it was not a massage chair, it was actually just a chair on a platform and very uncomfortable at that!)  *  She also mentioned that the GEL polish my daughter chose was $13 extra (what?? after it was on her nails already). So at the end she charged me another $28 ($5 + $5 + $13, and somehow she got $28).*  Oh, and they are cash-only, you should know.  No mention of that when I booked.  The Groupon idea is to get new customers in for a great first experience so they'll come back.  I did not appreciate the "nickel & dime" way she soaked us for more money without advance notice -- ESPECIALLY after being so late with our appointments!!I won't be back.  No way. Expected more when paying to get a manicure. My nails started peeling a little over 24 hours later. This picture shows what it looks like less than 3 days after getting them done.Also, usually when I get a manicure with a scrub, they rub it on my hands and arms. I came in late on accident and they were totally cool about it. They serve you tea for free. It was my first time getting a pedicure and I didn't know I was supposed to wear slippers coming in, so they gave me those foam temporary slippers. Super nice people!Read Less

I bought a Groupon for a pedicure at this location. I made my appointment by messaging Fatima over Yelp.  She was able to book me within 24 hours of contacting her.When I arrived for my appointment, I picked out a color and then she asked me if I wanted to upgrade to a Deluxe service for a few dollars. It was a good deal, and the Deluxe included the jetted foot spa, scented foot scrub (rose or orange creamsicle), standard pedicure and a hot stone massage. I have been going to cultured nails for about 8 years now (I used to drive almost 2 hours to get there) and it's the best nail salon in Silicon Valley if you ask me. Fatima, the owner, is the kindest, most hospitable person I have ever encountered personally and professionally. Keep in mind I work in the customer service industry. She is always the first person to greet you when you arrive with a ""hello sweetheart"" or a ""can a get you somthing honey."" I have never heard a negative thing come out her mouth and the loudest sound uttered is that of laughter. I am really not sure what Bridezilla over there is talking about (talk about defamation of character). If you want to enjoy your manicure or pedicure, buy some of her incredible homemade scrubs, call Cultured Nails. You won't regret it. Being an automotive technician my hands get dirty, and damaged by the work i do, and i do like to ""clean up"" my hands from time to time or for special occasions. My girlfriend has been going to cultured nails for years and suggested i go there. I went and was pleasantly surprised at how warm, friendly and reasonably priced getting a manicure done was. ""I had a ""nail party"" here the day before my wedding. I spoke with the owner, Fatima, twice on the phone to confirm the prices prior to this party. After everything was said and done she told me that I owed her $60 more. I had everything detailed and written down on my notes as I did for all costs related to my wedding and I was absolutely positive this was not true and that I was paid in full. She became very very loud, very agressive and honestly very scary. I wrote out a check for $40 which was going to be the tip for the women who worked so hard on our party and I said to take that and call it even and the women just wont get their tip because of her and how she treated us. She still would not back down over $20 even though I spent a very large amount of money for 7 people to get their nails done. My niece mentioned to me during all of this that a similar thing was done to her mother by this woman and it is something she has done before. My warning to anyone going here is to discuss every single fee before you get anything done. I had gel tips on my nails and she told me the price did not include having masasge and cuticles cleaned, they charged extra and nobody told me about this as they were doing it. I would still like to go back and give the tips to the women who worked so hard and were SO apologetic to us.
