I don't recommend this place if you're looking to get acrylic/gel. I had a horrible experience. The guy that did my nails put a whole chunk of acrylic on my nails without smoothing it out (What nail techs usually do). He also got upset when I asked him to make sure all my nails are evenly shaped out. He started speaking in a different language, with an angry tone. Which I think was rude. Especially when I asked nicely even if I had to wait 3hrs. He also said that "It's busy there's a lot of people" as if it was the reason why he couldn't shape my nails the way I wanted it. Thing is, I never asked him to hurry up, I only asked to re-shape my nails. P.S. I had to file my nails when I got home just do they wouldn't look so bad. Read Less

This place was my go to place for nails/mani/pedi. Recently their staff changed from when I first started going and I can't help but feel disappointed. The lady working on full sets tries really hard to just finish the job without paying any attention to her work. My nails fell apart within 3 days of getting them done. I payed 35 dollars for a fill and it's the worst fill I've ever had. I needed an extension on my nail and the shape was horrible. There was so much acrylic left. 0 - STAR RATING! Horrible Service * * * Very disappointed! I needed to get my nails done for an important meeting. Since it was getting late (4:55pm) I decided to stop by KK Nails and see if they'd take me without an appointment (I imagined they wouldn't) BUT they did. I asked the younger female tech if she knew how to do nail overlays and add a few cm of length to my nails. She replied, "I know how to do everything, pick your color". I picked my color and she started file down my nail. I asked her if she could work on my cuticles for a better, cleaner, rounder shape. She immediately started applying acrylic to my natural nail. When I asked if she was going to add length she became upset and wiped the fresh acrylic off my nail and stated I never told her I wanted long nails. She started all over again now applying the paper nails under my natural nails for length. The papers were all crooked and were falling off my fingers. She applied excessive acrylic, and with the paper misplacement, the acrylic went under my natural nail tips. She never even touched my cuticles as I asked to do so. I ended up with extremely thick chunks of acrylic on top and under my nail. When I asked her to reduce the thickness, so they could look natural. She became more frustrated and started file down the nail from under. At this point, there's two other victims (clients) waiting for her. I felt she rushed through the whole process. At the end, I felt so embarrassed of my nails that I wanted to get out of there running. I ended up paying $45 for something so UGLY. As soon as I got home, I grabbed my file and worked on my nails. Had my hair done yesterday by Chanelle. We first had a consultation which was great and Chanelle was very professional and explained things perfectly. Yesterday I had a cut, colour and extensions. Chanelle is really friendly and makes you feel at ease, she explains the process so you understand what is going to happen. She is very welcoming and easy to talk to, responds to messages quickly and is happy to answer questions. Chanelle worked really hard on my hair and ensured it was to a high standard before I left. They have renovated this place so much. So so clean! They moved to the location right next to where they used to be so it is smaller now but i feel like they needed this.  They always remember my name which makes a customer feel like they care. Sally is the best person in town to do eyebrows by the way and pedicures are the best! They take their time. Read Less

They are under staffed they pick any customer they want I havr been waiting to get a full set for an hour and there are 4 customers inside the store. And one lady that just walks around checking that her workers are working don't come here unless you know you have nothing to do that day. Read Less

I would give this place zero stars if I could, that's how bad they are. To start off, they didn't have nex-gen (certain kind of polish) so I settled for acrylic and jel. The jel Polish is all streaky and bubbly, and the acrylic powered is all over my hands and hardened, so there's no way of getting it off. secondly they charged me $10 because i wanted my nails shaped a certain way and then shaped them completely wrong. I usually get them narrowed out and instead they flare out and are extremely round. Thirdly I picked out my jel color and it was a grey. The guy grabbed the wrong color and I told him that it wasn't the color I wanted and he insisted that is was. The people are very sweet but over all I hated it. I was burnt, cut and after two days my nails broke. They looked really good when I first got them done but after typing a few emails, applying makeup and reading they were broken. The guy used the drill and cut me to the point that my cuticle now looks quite misshapen. The guy also applyed a clear gel coat so my polish would stay longer and he left some on my skin, causing the uv light to burn my skin and harden there. When I went in to ask for a refund tent said they would redo my nails but why would I want to go through all this again? Why would I go back when they broke? I haven't done anything that would really have caused them to crack. To add insult to injury, when I went in the second time they were going to make me wait for someone to see me when I said I had sat there for two hours a few days ago. I heard one woman talk about me when I was walking out. do not go here unless you want shoty service. I am from out of town and visiting my boyfriends family and I will never ever be back.Read Less

Less than a week and my nails have already chipped. Paid $35 for shellac which usually last a lot longer than regular. I have a newborn so I have been limiting my house duties, so I assumed my nails would have maintained in better shape longer. I will not be going to this location again. This place is so grimey and dirty... they have flies everywhere! No thank you!! I went here when I first moved and never went back. The staff is nice enough but I just couldn't handle having flies crawling on everything in what should be a semi sterile environment. Read Less

I have been coming here since they opened. The owner Sally is very personable  and friendly. My experiences vary depending on which technician I get. The deluxe pedicure is so relaxing. Nothing special about this place just your typical nail salon. The reason for the one star is for our bad experience. I have come here many times before but I took my husband here for the first time to get pedicures together. The lady who worked on my husband was very rough, while cutting cuticles made him bleed. He did tell her before he started bleeding that it was hurting. She brushed it off as no big deal. A few hours later at home my husband was still hurting and the area that was bleeding did not look good at all. I called them to let them know and all she said was sorry.
