Here's the thing about Fariba: She sure knows hair. She's damn GOOD!!! at it. Best effing haircuts and dye jobs. my problem is with her ATTITUDE. she always!!! shows up late. I wanted to like this place - it's in my neighborhood, reasonably priced and is an inviting space.  I was in need of an eyebrow threading and they could take me the same day, so it worked out well.  The woman who greeted me was a little cold but I just blew that off, though she seemed much friendlier on the phone. I read she usually does eyebrows herself but she told another woman who was doing someone's hair to do it, and though I had an appt, told me to wait for her. Against my better judgment, I did.  20 mins later the woman gets to me, it seems to be going fine and despite a little stinging at the end which didn't seem too abnormal, I went on my way.  It hurt a little throughout the day but I didn't think too much of it -- but the next day I woke up with burns around my brows.  Huge burns above and to the side of my brows.  I will attach photos but these don't even do it justice. I didn't even know that was possible with threading, but have learned it is indeed. I will not be going back here and will tell all my friends not to go there either! Read Less

This review is only for hair threading.The positives: they do a really good job and are extremely detail oriented. They are also nice polite people.The negatives: very very very slow. Basically impossible to get a thread under an hour even with an appointment. They are often taking care of 2-3 people at the same time. Also the actual threading takes forever. More expensive by about ten dollars than other places.To sum: come here if you have a special event and have all the time in the world. Do not come for routine hair removal. Read Less

Got a blow out and didn't love it. It just didn't look very good. In addition to a mediocre hair style, I spent an inordinate amount of time waiting to be serviced. In my 35 minute appointment, I spent about half of the time waiting for her as she simultaneously worked on another client, as well as taking payments for another one. Then again for phone calls. Fariba is amazing. I've been going to her for leg waxes for a few months now. I wanted a major change (brown with blonde highlights to purple ombré), but wasn't sure how it would go. I went in and showed her a few pictures. She was very upfront about the price (and from what I heard from friends who have done the same thing, the price was on target) and what the process would be. Fariba walked me through the whole process as she was doing it - she knows her stuff! She even accounted for my previous highlights and what to do with those so it wouldn't look funky. Palms is so lucky to have Fariba and her team in the neighborhood! I have gotten The BEST blowouts here and I have seen everyone that works there they all do an outstanding job - I will never go to a blowout bar again. Done my eyebrows there. Great experience! Apparently my eyebrows weren't even for years after going to the same place and I noticed it only after getting prescription glasses. I loveee going to Fariba for my hair and eyebrows!!!! I have been going to her for years and won't let anyone else touch my hair. Love how she layers and highlights my hair.
