Very disappointed... Standard pedicure is $30. It lasted exactly 20 minutes...polish left around toes and while toes were drying was asked to move so a family of 4 could use my spot. My salon in Jax charges $29 and lasts an hour. Should have waited until I got home.Read Less

I'm so glad I found this place. I just moved from NY and was super-bummed to leave my hair stylist of around five years. But my friend recommended The Beauty Box, and now I'm totally sold. Vanessa is a serious pro. She's also really fast and efficient! But you never feel rushed. I showed her a few pictures -- one of a style I liked and another of my bangs at where I felt they had been the most flattering. She implemented both notes and gave me a delightful haircut that feels light (I have heavy, thick hair) and lovely. She also listened carefully to how I normally style my hair and cut it in a way that will best compliment what I usually do. After moving from the hood and having a baby, I found it hard to make it to/afford Beauty Box.I made do, but recently went back to have Vanessa fix me up. She gifted treatments and suggested I come back for color w/her apprentice. Done.When I went in for my appointment, the apprentice was no longer available. Vanessa was kind enough to take me herself and still charge me the lower fee.I'm so happy with my hair and glad I made it back in to see Vanessa. Beauty Box was recommended to me by my friend who's really obsessed with make up. Ha! Since I needed someone to fix my icky eyebrows, I didn't hesitate to give them a try. I was so amazed how Dena changed my eyebrow's shape. But before she started fixing my eyebrows, she told me first what she was going to do with them and what shape my eyebrows would be. I was nervous at first while looking at her shaving them but after few minutes, I already enjoyed watching her transforming my eyebrows. I really love the result and I even got compliments from my friends. Dena also helped me with my lashes. She gave me a beautiful set of lashes and helped me applied it perfectly. I just got a wonderful massage by Shelley and an average pedicure by a male employee. After adding tip for both, my bill was $100. Afterward as we were walking to our hotel around the corner, the same male employee chased me down to accuse me of not paying. After telling him multiple times that I had, he asking unbelievingly, "Well, who did you pay???". He did not relent until two of his coworkers came out to the sidewalk and confirmed that I had, in fact, paid and tipped. Not only was this embarrassing, he didn't even apologize. I get my hair cut with Erica and she is always very accommodating of any special requests I have (I'm a little particular with how I like my hair styled) and she is just a really pleasant person to be around. I have always been very skiddish on who I let work on my hair (prior bad horrible hair experiences) I have been going to the girls at beauty box since they opened, and I have to say I am so glad I found them. The beauty box is a great little salon. It has friendly staff. Great products. I recently got a haircut and they did a wonderful job, the cut was right and the style was great. This little beauty shop was a real find. Unfortunately they don't have extensive hours but Vanessa, one of the co-owning sisters/friends, spent a lot of time trying to understand my hair and my concerns. They do push Redken products but not to the point of annoyance. I liked my haircut and color and it has been growing out well. I will return for sure.Read Less
