I had a gift certificate for a shellac manicure here and I was really excited fo try this place out! I had heard good things about it and it looked to have a good reputation.... I was wrong. Even though I did not have to pay because of the certificate, this manicure was way overpriced. This was a $40 manicure that I would not pay more than $20 for. I was clear about what I wanted to the manicurist and she still did not listen to what I wanted and was more interested about who was walking in the front door or talking to her friends than giving a decent manicure. I thought she did a good job at making sure my nail had a smooth surface but she completely missed my nail and thought she could make up for it at the end by just filing the extra nail polish off, leaving the nail looking horrible. In addition, the color selection for shellac was comical. If you are paying an extra $20 for shellac, I would have hoped for a good selection. I hated every single color they had. There was no variety whatsoever. Overall, I think their salon is cute and people were nice, but if you are getting a manicure the best thing I would do is go somewhere cheaper that is gonna do a WAY better job with so many better colors.... I just had my very first facial ever. It was with Yonna at Bliss. I had an Express Facial (40 mins/$95) but she went above and beyond and provided neck and arm massages, not usually included in the Express, as well as pampering my face. She asked if she could give me skin suggestions and recommend products. I said yes and she told me about a great face cream for my rosacea then proceeded to let me enjoy the facial in peace. She had relaxing music in the background, took her time, made sure I was comfortable. I received this facial as a birthday gift but it's well worth the money and I will definitely book another appointment with Yonna. Read Less

I needed to call Bliss to make an appointment so googled the telephone number. On the side bar was a YP review screen and I was shocked to see Bliss wasn't higher rated by this site. Bliss salon is awesome as are the hair stylists. I saw some of the very outdated complaints and will just say if the price of product is too much buy elsewhere. But the salon stylists and the front desk assistants have been nothing but professional. My stylist is Kent but when one is sitting there you can't help but notice other stylists' at work, too. The haircuts and coloring are great - and very trendy for some clients (I prefer a simple cut). Very disappointed with the facial and massage at the bliss beauty center. Seems like that things have changed and previous massage therapists may have left. The gal who did the facial was a nice young lady. The facials and the massage are not worth the price you pay or the time you invest in them. I have been going to Bliss more and more regularly over the last few years especially for my nails. Trang usually takes care of me. She's really skilled and super sweet. I always feel very welcomed by all the laddies doing nails! More recently, I started getting facials at Bliss. I hadn't done that in a long time because of a bad experience, but my daughter who's a model and very picky had a few and loved them. Shami was the esthetician who she trusted. I decided to follow her recommendation and was very impressed too. Without a doubt, Shami is very not only skilled but also very knowledgeable. She has a very soft and light touch yet efficient. Her facial was one of the best I've ever had. My skin was so fresh, clear and glowing! I was extremely disappointed when the manager called me out to announce me that my appointment for next week was cancelled because Shami was no longer working there. She was definitely a keeper! I came in for a facial and I left so disappointed and uncomfortable. I asked my therapist for recommendations for my skin type, and she mostly just kept asking me if I wanted any add on services. The facial itself was fine, until she attempted to do extractions. I have had plenty of facials before, but this was the first time I have had someone use a sharp tool so close to my eye. She kept poking and squeezing until she couldn't remove the gunk. That was uncomfortable, but on top of that, she kept mentioning that I should buy the products out front. After my facial, she took me around the store, even though I told her earlier that I was fine with my products. She pointed out all the products that she thought I should be using. I thanked her, but instead of finally leaving me alone, she asked if I wanted to try anything. I understand that in the beauty business, employees are encouraged to sell products, but there is absolutely nothing worse than a pushy employee selling to an uninterested customer. After paying, I left with a sticky and oily face. My forehead is still bright red from her poking and it hurts. I plan on seeing a dermatologist tomorrow to check it out. I am very disappointed with my facial that I received. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The place looks great, but the facial I received was far from that. I am in so much pain right now. So pampered!That's how I feel when I go to Bliss - especially when I see Kerry Hamilton for a facial.I've been seeing Kerry for several years now - and she never disappoints.   She's warm and friendly and knows her stuff!  From her eyelash tinting (it's magic!) to her painless eyebrow waxing (c ya later monobrow) to her stupor-inducing facials (nighty night) - I'm kind of, well, addicted.  Best part of the facial - the face, neck, shoulder and arm massage.  Wow!   The fact that Kerry is a trained massage therapist REALLY shows here.  The facial products they use are effective, smell great and keep my skin happy.  I also love that I can get a great mani/ pedi (Suzanne!) or get a great hair color/cut (Ruben!) all at one spa/salon.  Very convenient!It's a beautiful and clean space and I really enjoy coming here. I was informed by Sephora that no place can charge you for a makeup lesson if the person isn't certified, I told this to the owner, Irene, who has a degree in business, not beauty, and we argued. Most recently, I went there after doing tons of research to get a keratin treatment. My hair looked beautiful when I left. The week before I got the treatment done, they recommended that I buy my hair shampoo and conditioner from them, so I did. I spent $90 on shampoo and conditioner by Loreal Paris sold by bliss. When you get a keratin treatment one needs to use a sulfate free and sodium chloride free shampoo and conditioner. Bliss sold me products that were only sulfate free. So when four days had passed after my treatment and it was time to wash my hair, I washed the treatment out not knowing that the products were not sodium chloride free. This is salt, which washes keratin out, making your hair rough, look it up if you don't believe me. So i went in and showed my hair. The manager, Jennifer said she had no idea what to tell me as she was only the manager and knew nothing about hair. I informed the 2 girls at front desk and Jennifer that KER which is a brand made specifically for the keratin treatment is what they should be selling. Non of them heard of it and starting to look it up on computer. Irene said I wasn't welcome there anymore and I can not come back to receive services. I told her that I wanted to explain what happened, she said , I know your upset, and I don't want to know, it doesn't matter. I don't think anyone should ever spend that amount and wash it out in seconds from products recommended by "professionals". Please research before you do anything major to your face, nails, hair, and body in general. Read Less

I'm a big fan Sonya Dakar skin products and her facials (in LA). But when I can't get to LA, Bliss Beauty is trained to give her facials using her products. Plus, they do facials in a way that feel more luxurious and less like "treatment" than Sonya herself. The facials start with a yummy rose petal foot soak and continue with the normal facial regimen (cleansing, steaming, extraction, acid peel, mask) punctuated with shoulder, hand, foot, and scalp massages. This is a particularly nice touch. Though, you need to remember that the scalp massage (oily) is going to leave you needing to wash your hair (or you'll be late to dinner like I am now) You'll leave relaxed with glowing skin. The two facials I've had have been with Kristen and I highly recommend her. They also have a great selection of high end beauty products - they carry Sonya Dakar, Epicuren, and Kerastase hair products. You'll see almost every high end line there. Plus, they have fun hair accessories - if you are looking for a special headband, barrette or hair clip, their HUGE selection makes them a good bet. Read Less

I have been going to Alicia for at least 6 months for cut and color. I LOVE THIS PLACE! She is really the most talented young stylist I have come across in the last 5 years. An artist with color and an exacting eye with haircutting. And Bliss is a beautiful, relaxing salon. All the staff are polite and attentive, and I have never felt rushed and dismissed, like most high-end salons. I love Bliss. I moved from SF about a year and a half ago when I had a baby and could not find a local salon that had all the high end city style services I was looking for. I stumbled upon Bliss in Los Altos. The hair salon has a new team led by a man named Lonny.He has been doing hair forever, is very relaxing to be around, professional and came from a very prestigious salon in LA. I LOVE HIM! He does a great job on coloring and cutting my hair and I have used Alicia for color as well and she is great and very sweet. If you have never had a blow-dry set she is the one. I have had strangers on the street stop me to tell my I had beautiful hair after a blow-dry set with Alicia. I have also used the salon for a facial, massage, pedicures and manicures.
