I will never go here again. Got my nails done Friday and go out of town Saturday. The whole time out of town my nails broke, 4 of them and then when I go in on Monday at 7:45 pm and it's too late to fix it for me. Terrible and rude! Change your times and don't welcome walk ins!!!!!! Read Less

I came in for waxing, which deserved 1 star, but putting 2 because those getting their nails done looked content. The woman that started helping me wasn't experienced enough, so she called in someone else to help. They were extremely unprofessional, continuously talking in another language while I was completely exposed. I've been getting bikini waxes for 15 years and it was the most painful and embarrassing experience I've had. I still have patches of hair on my legs, and the type of gloves they were using were painful on sensitive skin. All for the same price as the amazing place I usually go to in San Francisco. I was so surprised by this place! Very clean and nice, good music that doesn't feel repetitive. I was instantly sat down, I love that they used the electric file to soften my gels, I really hate when they file them down with the basic file (I have deep curved nail beds and it hurts...). The women was so thorough, they soaked and filed them exactly as I wanted. They also finished with a massage and hot towel, which isn't a typical practice for gel manicures so I was VERY excited. Synopsis: Drove an hr for nail artwork and left with none. Even though I had 2 cut nail beds, overall nail experience wasn't all too bad. Certainly not the BEST in town.Before I drove to Santa Rosa, I wanted to call Nail Artwork and confirm whether they  specialized in nail artwork. I called and asked the lady over the phone, if she was able to create two nail artwork designs from a instagram picture... (snowflakes and a reindeer). Once I heard a yes, I jumped in my car and drove north.I came to Nail Artwork around 1:05PM (NOV 23, 2016). GPS took me to the wrong side of the plaza (near Anytime Fitness) *face-palm*, so make sure you call for directions, that plaza is hug lol. I came in and apologized for being late. I was waved over to a chair closest to the other side of the salon. I sat down and let the technician take a look @ my nails. She insisted I keep my flower designs since they looked pretty. She would  "add to the design... fill in the gap that is your new nail." Unfortunately I had set my mind to a more Christmas theme and reindeers + snowflakes were it.*Note to reader * My nails were done on October 29th while visiting my mother in law in LA (more specifically "Polish Me Pretty Nail Bar" in Fountain Valley) if interested READ review.I guess they don't do powder gel here, so I ended up getting an acrylic fill. Wahhh! I had powder gel done and it looked weird to see a two tone nail. Oh well, i guess if it's concealed under two coats of nail polish, so be it. I handed the technician my phone in order for her to see the design I had wanted. She couldn't do the reindeer design, only the snowflakes. *Sigh*I drove an hour to be told "I can't" ? Oh well. You win some and you lose some. I ended up choosing a white polish and a coffin nail shape (AGAIN). Two of my nail beds were cut and the technician didn't even seem to notice... until she heard me say "ouch" when she sprayed alcohol over my nails. 35 dollars for an acrylic fill, 2 coats of white polish, 2 top coats, 2 cut nail beds, coffin shape and shortened nails? UPDATE: NOVEMBER 26, 2016My nails have chipped & peeled in a matter of days (3 to be exact). I called to have them redone and although she was willing to "take a look...", the hour drive isn't worth it just having someone inspect my nails. UGH. Read Less

Facebook page says they open at 9. The sign on the door says they open at 9:30. I waited and waited for them to open along with another older lady. She said she has been going there for years and service is getting bad. When you have a time frame and want to get in and out, it's frustrating that these people can't be on time and apparently don't care that they have bad reviews about there place of business. I have been a loyal client for 8 YEARS but tonight I received horrible service. Went in for a regular pedicure. The guy started to do mine then had to finish with the lady before me to put her top coat on. Did not change from my gloves to do it then tried to come back to me with the same gloves and I had to ask him to change them. I had to ask him to use the curved edge to pull out any ingrown from my big toes. He didn't understand what I was telling him and hardly did it. Wh...en he scrubbed the bottom of my feet with the pumice stone I only got 3 scrubs up and down. My feet are still rough. Only put lotion on my legs then dropped the towel over. No massage. No stones. Nothing. Then when painting my nails he messed up the design. Asked him to redo it and he said it was fine. I asked for another coat of glitter to try to cover it and he ignored me and put the top coat on. Wanted me to dry them but I chose not to since I will have to redo them when I get home anyway. When I went to pay I stood at the counter for a few minutes before I had to ASK to pay then had to stand and wait again before saying I only had a regular pedicure and it would be $28.32 and Michelle finally helped me. The owner did my nails...it was skittle pricy BUT worth it.. It might have been my circumstances... The salon is well kept, modern and very clean.. Such a treat to be able to come here for a pedicure. Next time I hope to afford a manicure too. They as reasonably priced for sure, I am just tight on funds. This is a splurge! It is a very clean salon, and everyone here gives good service. The tubs are scrubbed and the tools are sealed and sterile. Not too much chatter, so it is relaxing. I enjoy the special attention I receive here with massaging the legs and feet with warm lotion, and warm towels. It feels like a spa day just getting a pedicure. Nya is my favorite! Read Less

Love this nail salon. Been going to Artwork Nail & Spa for the better part of 2 years now. Everyone is so nice and efficient. Its been clean every time i go. And i see them clean up during and after each customer. I have thin nails and once i told them that they are very careful. They joke with me each time i come with my own nail polish. And they offer me either water or tea most times. Some of the workers are quite friendly and some are a bit quiet and thats ok. All of them are very nice to me. So ill keep going back Read Less
