Horrible customer service and type of nail i wanted they couldn't do or said it was to ugly and he wouldnt do them.  And my sister wanted a new full set and they proceeded to rip them off and poked her and made her bleed. Been coming here for years! The best nail salon in the AV that I have found. They are always busy because they are the Best! They do the best they can to fit everyone in and not delay service or make you wait too long. It's like any other popular busy place... Ok so I went there one time previously and it was overall good. So I went in there for the second time, I wanted a gel fill and a pedicure. So they rushed me to a pedicure chair and made me wait to get my nails which I hate because it then takes forever. It was a Wednesday evening they were not busy at all. So the pedicure was cold water. I asked her twice to make it warmer but she didn't understand I guess so a cold pedicure not much treatment and at the end was a massage where she pounded on my feet and legs with her fist lmbo! They looked pretty but it was not relaxing and probably the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. Now while I was receiving my pedicure another lady came in and they did her nails while receiving her pedicure so I don't understand why they couldn't do mine. So then I go to the man and he is supposed to do my nails. It starts out ok but he had very strange ways of filing with the drill. Like he was drilling my cuticles a lot and he seemed on drugs. He took forever talking and laughing loudly. Was extremely rough and during this time I noticed the salon is very dirty. The towel under my hands filthy, like they don't clean properly. I regretted ever coming in! Finally the  woman who seemed to run things did my color. I wanted 3D glitter gel. It's like a powder she applies like a gel. She said it would last. No top coat needed. NEVER AGAIN! My daughters like their color selection but WOW! After waiting for 1hr and 40 min with an appointment. They take 2 people that just walked in before them. I went Sun Nails to get a shellac manicure a few days ago. I was able to relax and read magazines. The staff was a sweetheart and worked very good. It's a good for GEL color! My pedicure feel exciting as well as natural. So glad I gave it a try on. And sure I come back again. Read Less

The lady cut three of my toenails and made them bleed in multiple places. I've treated them since day 1 but now one is red, swollen, and appears to be infected. Looking back, I'm not convinced their tools were actually clean anyways. My full set is not smooth. Each nail has ridges easily felt and seen. Obviously not going back. Save your money. Go elsewhere. Customer service was good. The staff where all pleasant and warm. My two stars is actually on the quality of work. I got a full set with gel polish. The acrylic, shape and length was all decent/good. 6.5 out of 10. It was basically what I asked for. The gel polish was just applied super sloppily. It was all around my cuticle and on my skin. He did not clean up the excess properly. Normally they take a brush dipped in acetone and clean up around the cuticle so he gives it a nice round and even shape. He used his fingernail to wipe off the excess but he ended up smearing the polish everywhere. Once gel polish is cured under the light it can't be wiped off. Only way is to use a file or soak off with acetone. Took out his drill and started drilling off excess Joe. But most of the gel polish is on my fingers so he ended up cutting my finger. I had to stop to service once he broke the skin. I didn't want to risk any more cuts or infections. I simply complain to the manager and she only charge me for the acrylics.like I said customer service wise they were pretty good and they would get more stars but based on the sloppy work is why I'm giving them two stars. I've never posted a negative review and I feel super bad, but I have to. First off, this nail salon looks pretty unsanitary. It used to be a lot better. The quality just keeps getting worse. There's one girl here that does a great job, but other than that expect a lot of cuts when they're nipping your fingers, uneven nails, and gels that are bulky and unsightly. I only came back here because my regular nail salon (that charges the same for the basics and is amazing quality which name I won't mention because they are always booked and have no more room) was unavailable because I failed to schedule on time. If I were you, I wouldn't go here. I regret my last visit. :( I had to go home and take my gel manicure off (which took forever because of how thick they are) and I'm now trying to see if there's any way my regular nail salon can fit me in before I go on vacation. Just a decent place. Definitely one of the cheaper places here and the people were pretty nice when they decided to speak English to you. The downsides were a messy back area towards the bathroom (there was just a random mattress sticking out of one of the rooms). The leg massage was just mediocre that didn't even include any pressure or massage on the calves; it was all on the shin and barely feet. I came here for a simple clean up and was treated with utter disrespected. I came in for a service not their commentary. They were sloppy. They were rude to other customers. My friend asked to have her acrylic nails removed and they were so harsh with her that she yelled due to the pain. I have been to multiple nail salons and have had good and back services. I would give 0 stars if I could. I went for a pedicure today. I was seen immediately. An older Vietnamese lady did my pedicure. There was a huge language barrier to start off with. When I asked her to file my big toe a little more square, she got visibly annoyed with me. She was like freaking out. After all, I am paying for her service and I wanted to be happy. She was also so sloppy with my polish. Thank you Jesus that my pedicure was only $18.00. They also charged me $.50 to use my debit card. Ridiculous! Then she got mad that I didnt tip her! I disagree with all the negative remarks.  I've been going to Sun Nails for about 2 months.  The owner Ann is positive, pleasant, and helpful.  I've tried not less than 6 shops in the A.V.. in the past 9 mos. and this is the best thus far. Not dirty, tho the restroom could be kept up better.  My nails haven't lifted, chipped, or had fungus grow which another shop caused, making me look for another shop when I found this shop.  Tomorrow I'm having a fill and a pedicure.   Best to make an appt. ahead of arriving there.  I've noticed it can suddenly be busy with walk in people.   :) Read Less

If I hadn't asked after an hour, how long the wait was, I'd still be waiting! Now, I have to wait for the other person and go somewhere else. No customer service. I would NEVER recommend this place. So, there weren't many good reviews about this place HOWEVER, being new to this area I tried a place in Palmdale that got an average of 4.5 stars and I left 100% dissatisfied. I explained to the guy (Tony) at Sun Nails how horrible the last place did my nails and he listened to every single request. He even took off the pink gel when he started because I said I wanted to try and see what a different shade of pink gel looked like. He didn't have an attitude when I asked him to redo something to my liking, he asked before he did something what I wanted and I left 100% satisfied. If you left this place unhappy then you definitely didn't have Tony doing your nails and you probably didn't open up about something you did or didn't like. The lady even said if I chip or break them within the first few days that I can come back free of charge. How much better can you get?! I finally found a place I like after 2 months of searching. My daughter and I got my mom a $50 gift certificate to sun nails for Christmas. She went in to use the certificate on Monday Jan 18. Ann told her that the certificate had been forged. I was absolutely furious when my mom told me how she was humiliated in front of customers for being accused of forging. Ann let her only use $30 of the $50 that I PAID FOR!!!! My mom has been going to Ann that works there for 15 years. What an awesome way to treat your regular customer of 15 years. Needles to say, my mom will never go back. It's not the fanciest place ever, and sometimes there's a bit of a language barrier, but they are SOOOO NICE. They're happy to fix any problems (even if they didn't cause them) and try their very best to make sure you leave happy. Love the ladies here, always get my pedicures here and have never had any problems with them. They are clean and professional. They have been remodleing so any complaints about old dirty chairs or other equipment are out dated at this point. DO NOT GO HERE! Long story short, my daughter and I are new to lancaster. I've always gone to the same salon in Santa Clarita. So, I try something new and bring my daughter to get hers. We walk in and the place is DISGUSTING. I didn't even want to sit down or touch ANYTHING. So, I had to wait at least 20 minutes for them.. And they weren't professional or nice. Very rude people. So I sit down with the lady and she starts cleaning my cuticles. She hurt me SO bad, I had to pull my hand away a few times and she just kept digging. I had at least 4 nails that were bleeding when she was done. So, I get gels on, and they look HORRIBLE. Honestly my 4 year old could have painted them better. It took her 3 coats, and at this point I just wanted to leave. Not to mention the lights you put your nails in were SO disgusting and filthy! I was so grossed out. So after I'm all cut up she decides to put alcohol all over them. After I told her no more cause it burned, she looked at me like I was crazy and insisted to squeeze my fingers where the cuts were. At this point I really just wanted to punch her in the face. So then it's my daughters turn. I have no real complains with the lady that did hers except she was the biggest BITCH, and made my daughter seem like she was asking for the world. She got mad at her, like c'mon she's 4 dude. Anyway, my daughters nails chipped the next day. Horrible job.And.. My nails STILL hurt so bad. This is a week and a half almost later. I posted a picture of my pink gel nails. You can look at the picture for yourself. I wouldn't recommend this place to my WORST enemy. $40 out of my pocket, and a complete waste.
