This young African American father of two beautiful little girls walks into the nail shop his 2 daughters also African American. His 2 daughters ran to the bathroom they are about 8 years old. He stops them and says. Wait we have to ask permission so he turns to the lady doing my nails and says. Excuse me Ms. I'm so sorry to bother you or your business but can my daughters please use your bathroom. My nail lady looks up notices hes black and straight up says No! This father then said please its for my daughters it's not for me. One if them already kinda wet her self cuz we can't find a bathroom. She rolls her eyes and again says No! Your not a customer he thens says ok I'll pay you to let my daughters use your facilities she again looks up and says no! I am so mad at this point. She's doing my nails and she's almost done. The father then says ok ms I'm very sorry to have bothered you and walks away calmly. She finishes my nails and I tell her if you would have done that to me I would have had my son piss all over your floor. I usually tip her about 10 bucks I paid what i owed tipped everyone but her and told her I wont be back and I will tell everyone what you just did to this young father and his kids. She then tells me she did nothing wrong I said what about that white lady who came in with her white son. They were allowed to use the bathroom they were not paying customers!! It was my first time at this salon because my regular spot was too busy. Location - in the same shopping center as Albertsons and Starbucks. Perfect location for a girl on the go like me. Grocery shop, get my nails done, and get Starbucks to go #basic #winning. They have a second location near 24 hour fitness. That spot is newer than this place.Cleanliness - Clean. Space looks a little old even though it's only 3-4 years old. I didn't notice if my nail technician opened a new bag of sterilized tools for me (bad on me for not paying attention) but they looked clean. Jet spas were lined with plastic bags. Massage chairs were clean. Drying station had organized magazines on top.Friendliness - welcoming host. She didn't rush me. I was able to get in without an appointment. My technician, Jane, was the friendliest of them all! It's nice to be able to chat while getting my nails done.Color selection - ok. They have all the basics. For gel they use Wave Gel. I didn't get gel this time but I'm going to try it out next time.Cost - comparable to the area. For a basic manicure I paid $12 plus a pedicure package for $35. Overall without tip I paid $47. It's still a little too high for me considering I was able to pay $20 for a mani/pedi in West Covina, but this is just about right for the area. I was expecting it to be a little cheaper though, I think $40 would have been a better price :). Overall a good place as my backup. I don't think it's good enough to be my number 1 nail spot yet. Best mani and pedi in town....no cuticle cuts and best thing they make sure you have baby soft feet when you leave....plus they offer t.v. refreshments and staff doesn't talk about you in another language they talk at you and are respectsful Read Less

Horrible Place!! I went in for a gel pedicure and got an infection instead! An Asian man did my pedicure, ( I didn't get his name). He finished in 20minutes! As he was cutting the side of my left fat toe he hurt me and I told him and he said "ok" and moved on to the next toe. The next day my toe was swollen and I had pus coming out of it! Super painful! They do whatever they want on your nails, asked them to soak off my acrylics and gentlemen didnt want to so he just did a fill on the fill he refused to take off whatever was lifted he just did the fill leaving whatever was lifted even though i asked him to take it off it was really fustrating but i didnt snap on them i just let him finish and when i payed i made sure i didnt leave a tip because they do whatever they want, My pedicure was 10 minutes, didnt clean around my nails, cut my toe nails reLly short, nail polish on toes looked like a 5 year old did them horrible experience i wish it gave me the option to give them 0 stars!!!! I normally go to the other Diamond Nails location next to 24 Hour Fitness but since I had to drop off a package at UPS and my location was busy, I decided to give this place a try. NEVER AGAIN.A basic pedicure cost $2 more at this location ($20) and the male manicurist took a total of 15 minutes to do my entire service. I am also almost 8 months pregnant and he had the audacity to tell me to stop "moving" whenever I adjusted when he WAS NOT doing anything. Really? Also, I kept telling him to file down shorter and more rounder on the corners but he successfully failed to do that by making my toes look like LEGO squares. My toes looked worse than before I came in. Three of my toenails have gaps and bubbling in the polish (I brought in my own from Butter London which is amazing) and ALL of them were filed unevenly. Lucky for him, I am not a psycho and I was raised right so I paid for my sh*tty service and gave him a $2 tip regardless of how incompetent he is. I was not impressed at all. I called ahead to see how long the wait was before I even went in and they said there was no wait and that I would get right in. Wrong I got there soon after I got off the phone with them and I had to wait. I waited about 20 minutes for some to start on my full set. But while I was waiting there were two working just sitting on their phones. I asked for a almond shape and I got uneven round shape. The color I picked must have been old or something because it took over 30 minutes to dry and the shade on each nail was a different color. Also before I even sat down I showed them what I wanted and they said that didn't have the stuff to do it and it wasn't even andy thing special it was a solid color with a little gold sparkle to it not much. Non of the works talked to who they were working on just to each other. I would not recommend this place. Read Less

So, I am new to the area and have been struggling trying to find some place of quality out here. After this experience, I'll just make the trip to my nail lady in LA as I am beyond disappointed. For one, the guy that did my nails was so damn rude. He was a younger asian guy. From the moment I walked in and was looking at nail designs he says "the girl who does designs isn't here pick a color" and then he has me sit down only to disappear as I sit at his station for 5 minutes. Then a lady comes to me and says i'll do your feet first. Then The guy randomly appears and starts eating at his station. Once my toes are done I bring over the color swatch and he points and says "we don't have any of those pick something else" (mind you, i wasn't even picking a color off the one he was pointing to). He then asks me what color I want, I tell him and he starts doing my nails. The ENTIRE time he is snatching my fingers and flicking my other nails out of the way. Midway through application he goes "you want square right?" after he's already started filing and shaping my nails. Then as he is painting my nails he has the nerve to say "how are you going to talk on the phone with your nails" and I simply put the phone on my shoulder as he continued to rough handle me. After applying the acrylic for my full set, He barely drilled them down, did not drill under my nail so there's a bunch of excess acrylic and he didn't even apply oil to my cuticles before having me wash my hands. Matter of fact, he didn't touch my cuticles at all now that I think of it. The result: uneven, thick and poorly painted nails. And they had the nerve to charge me 30+ dollars. I have been coming here for about 3 years for my pedicure because ANDY is amazingggggggg. I used to have some struggles with nail salons but Andy insures that my ingrown nails are perfectly removed and his massage technique goes way beyond a nailshop...more like a masseuse...did I already say Amazzziinngg?!Ask for Andy!!! So I usually come here evry two weeks! For gel manicure! And I love all the nail techs there! I've tried most of them and they've all done a great job!  Except for today! I'm so upset because I went in after work, they were pretty busy, completely understandable Tracy I believe is her name soaked off my previous gel after about 15min of waiting I was asked to move to another station to a new nail tech that I've never seen there, now I know he was new so I figured Tracy moved me to kill some time while she was working with another client, who came like 10minutes after me, and usually the guys do nice work except for this one. As soon as the manicure part came up I already knew!! He didn't soften my cuticles he just used the drill to push them back! Cut my nails too short! And uneven! Again I tried to stay positive and understand that he OBVIOUSLY has no experience or atleast not enough! But I couldn't take it anymore and as soon as I noticed he was"finished" and ready for gel polish I had to stop him and refuse his service anymore! I offered to pay for the time spent but seriously! Atleast shadow him or ask me if it's okay he takes over after Tracy started. I most likely won't be coming back here, and I'll post pictures I took right after washing my hands! By far the best experience I have ever had at any salon. We arrived on a busy Mother's Day just an hour before posted closing. The ladies were all amazing and didn't make us feel rushed. Prices were very reasonable and the three of us ( mom, grandma and me) all received what I can only describe as  VIP treatment. Even last minute on a busy day they didn't rush or skimp on the treatment. I live an hour away but came out to spend the day with my grandma. The service and prices here far exceed what I get at salons in the valley. Because Of the three awesome accommodating and kind ladies (Rose, Linda, Stephanie) I will continue to come here instead of my normal salon in the valley, it's worth it!
