I went back for a fill, the guy Tony set next to the girl doing my nails and every time I asked a question he answered for her, she did speak English because I ask her. The next day 2 nails broke because she drilled to thin, I went back and Tony said they were busy come back tomorrow, I said can I wait, he said no come back tomorrow, I said can I make an appt. I've been going to this nail salon since it opened 13 or 14 years ago. If I stray and try another salon, I always regret it. My nails are important to me. They need to last 3 weeks. This is the only salon able to get my picky approval. Kevin is the best. He will do your nails exactly the way you ask him too. Even if you decide to change the shape. Tran and Lani are the best nail people around. I searched when I first moved out this way. They are fun to talk with and so very friendly. I bruised my tailbone and it was so uncomfortable to sit. They were so very accommodating and not annoyed. We still had fun and laughed about my behind while they did one foot or hand at a time. This is a local spot with staff that has been working for years.I was greeted right when I walked in and was immediately sat. I needed a gel manicure and a pedicure. They gave me the nail color grid for the gel manicure. I selected the dark sky. It's a black color with silver glitter.Once they put the color on I didn't like it, they were able to accommodate with kindness and were completely happy to make sure I was taken care of.I also upgraded the pedicure with flowers. It's been years since I've been here. First time back the lady was amazing. The follow times I had the older thin Asian woman and she is flat out awful. She will NOT paint to the cuticle. She will NOT massage, she simply slaps the lotion on your arm or leg. My pedicure and my friends pedicure were over $13 dollars different.... all they did was scrub her heal a min longer than mine. I won't write a long review because I don't feel that this place is worth even that of my time.I will say every time I go to this place I am so annoyed and leave unhappy and upset. There is always an attitude received from the manager and I always hesitate to go here. The other day my nail place (Pros Nails on bellflower blvd) were busy and I didn't have time to wait so I hesitatingly went to this place. I asked one simple question of if they could do the French acrylic where it is an ombré effect (you use the white and then the pink powder on top), instead of getting an answer from someone since I did ask a question - I get attitude.Three of the workers INCLUDING the manager started talking in their language right in front of me and then even when they were done they didn't give me an answer. I've been to this place many times and was fairly regular for about a year, but, as of today, I'm never going back. Some of the technicians are good but the last two times I have come here the experience was awful. The last time, I was rushed and the technician filed my nails really stupidly so they ended up peeling. Also, they put a pink tinted topcoat on top of a bright royal blue, which, made the color look oxidized. This time they took in a woman who had just came in even though I had been waiting for more than five minutes.It could have been a race thing or an age thing, who knows. I didn't wait long enough to find out.The manager is just generally consistently rude and that was the last straw. In this area there is a nail salon on every corner. There is no reason to go here. They are very slightly cheaper than some other places and have the massaging chairs but, they have the worst service of the upwards of ten nail salons in a mile radius of this place. Read Less

I usually don't rate businesses, this is my first time ever and I'm not a complainer regardless of the service I received, but this institution deserve a rating. First time I visited this place and will be my last time. When I enter the I was picking a nail polish a lady approached me and I thought I'd ask if they have the color I was looking for, I showed her the picture and she just dismissed me and said "oh whatever we have there only" and then walked away. Then another lady rushed me into sitting down and I said I'm still picking up color. The lady who did my pedicure was nice enough but she did cut too much on my skin that I was literally hurting the entire time. The lady who did my manicure seems like she was pissed for doing it. Tge pedicure lady wanted to put a flower design but i said now and the maninuce lady screamed "what?? Why not?? It looks good on you"! After my nail polished was done, it was very thin and you can still see my nails underneath the polished. Also it was waaaayyy too crooked and I started to get really irritated at this point because she sent me to dry my nails and not even realized how crooked my nail polished! I usually just let things go but she acted really weird and so decided to speak up and told her my polish is crooked even my cuticles were cut crooked and she insisted that it's good. Then I asked her if I can talk to somebody. The. She sat me down again and removed my nail polished so I didn't get a chance to show it to someone. After she removed my polish she stood up (angrily) and walked towards couple of staff who were talking, when the lady approached them she said something and they all started laughing then the lady said something again and they were all just cracking up. Then A different girl went me to and repainted my nails and fixed my cuticles. Then at the cashier, the lady was just rude and acted mad for some reason. She was macking and saying something in Vietnamese and the other girl finished helping me cause the other girl walked away from me. Although I did not understand what she was saying before she walked away, her body language I can tell she was pissed about something. My experience was overall a living hell while I was inside this place. NEVER WILL I EVER COME BACK HERE! EVEN THOUGH THIS PLACE IS LITERALLY A WALKING DISTANCE FROM MY HOUSE! I have been going here for over six years and I am very happy with their service. I travel over 10 miles even tho there are many closer shops to where I live. It's important to make an appointment especially if you like a particular technician. I think Tran is the BEST as his fills last me over 3 weeks and I have had only one broken nail (my fault) in all this time. He did not charge me for the repair even ! KELLY is the best for pedicure and waxing : a real artist. The new chairs and clean shop make the experience a treat. They want cash only for payment but provide an ATM at only 1.50 fee. Still, I try and bring cash. If you don't like waiting be sure to make that appointment : even if it's same day ! You won't be sorry to give these two a try. Read Less

This is my go to shop but lately I come out upset. The lady who started doing my nails is named Nancy. She took like 30 minutes putting on the clear powder and kept getting up every other minute. It was really annoying and it felt like she didn't care if she did a good job or not. She left my nails all uneven, clearly isn't best with acrylic nails. Got a gift card to come for Mother's Day. There were a lot of technicians but many of them were eating or out smoking a cigarette. I waited about 10 minutes and got the deluxe pedicure. I have been to this place a few times, but today was my last. The lady that greeted me was terribly rude. Then she got upset because she said I let too much time go by in between fills. She started on my nails and acted like I was bothering her the whole time. As soon as another manicurist was available, she told me to go with them. My first time at Swan nails and couldn't be happier! My nail technician was Lin and OMG this lady is AMAZING!!! SO nice and SO funny, she kept me joking and laughing all session and was very good about receiving feedback about the nails. I am a little OCD about my nail shapes and she filed them PERFECTLY. First of all--please don't post pictures of your infected toe on Yelp. Gross. You can tell me about your toe, your experience, I don't need to see it. My friend took me in here to get a gel mani/pedi, and it was a pretty decent experience. I'd probably go back here rather than looking for a new place in the area. The devil you know and all that. One of my biggest complaints when I get a mani/pedi is when they try to do both at once. I get my nails done to relax, but when I have to twist myself up into a pretzel to reach my arm across myself so that she can do both my left and right hand, it kinda loses the relaxation factor. Just let me read the news on my phone while you do my toes and then switch me to a table when you're done. I thought they did a really nice job painting my nails and toes, the paint got right up to the cuticle and it was even and smooth. On the other hand, the dude who did my friend's nails told her that he was hungover, and you could tell by the way he painted. They give you a nice foot massage along with your pedicure, but I'm not a big fan of them giving you extra massage for $1/minute. Especially when it's a little hard to understand what she's asking. Wasnt to impressed with the customer service here  Especially for being so expensive.  The person who took my payment was very rude and not friendly at all. Most of the staff was watching tv and stopping thru my pedicure. Which was a decent job but  my big toe was not cut right. I guess the best thing about this place was that it was clean.  Like someone else said here dont spend you hard working money here.  Most of the time we go get are nails done and toes done to be taken care of right?
