I desperately needed my nails done before a big job but it was late in the evening when my husband arrived home. So my husband searched for a nail salon for me that was open late. Luckily for me, Nails Bar 86 closes at 10pm. I arrived at 8pm and I was seated quickly. Ruby was meticulous in cleaning my nails and decorated my nails perfectly. Horrible nail shop, will never go back! I always go to the other nail place in the mall and they are great! They aren't pushy and do an amazing job to earn their money. This place is in a rush to get you out of there. I have had these nails (which are clear when I asked for pink) and the guy who did my nails was sloppy and rushed, not even removing my old nail polish fully. The brow lady was the same doing it while I was getting my acrylics. Then she asked me if I wanted my lips done. I said no and turned away then she put the wax on my lips. I repeated no and she said that she thought I said yes. They just wanted to scam me into paying more.So finally a few days later my nail breaks off from picking up a bag of groceries.DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! ( go to the better nail place in the mall.) Dont go here. Although it "looks" nice, the pedicure wasnt relaxing. They didnt even do the massage. Only reason I got the pedicure was so I could sit down and relax while having my nails done. But nope. They still made me sit in the uncomfortable swivel chairs. After paying 75$ for what looked like a nice set of acrylics. They fell off after 3 days. This is exactly why I hate going to new salons. The owner guy has a TERRIBLE cocky attitude. And so does the "main" nail lady who coughs and sneezes while she does your nails. I accidentally made an indention on a nail while they were under the UV light and when she saw shes like "WHAT HAPPEN??? WHAT HAPPEN TO YOUR NAIL?????!!!!!!!" I was nervous going here cause all the bad reviews but was the only place open late so i went and hoped for the best , Jenny did my nails amazing , asked every step of the way if i liked them and what i wanted , highly recommend her . Came in Tuesday for a gel pedicure and was also talked into getting a gel manicure with sns powder. The woman working as the manager said the sns powder makes the gel last longer, so I decided to try it. Tipped my both techs $10 bucks each, my total was $98.I noticed the following evening my nails were already chipping. Thursday was Thanksgiving so I called Friday and asked if I could come in Saturday because I did not want to deal with the Black Friday crowds, the manager said no problem they will take care of everything.Came in Saturday and the manager asked who did my nails and of course I don't know the name so I described her. The tech acted like she didn't remember me and then proceeds to tell me my nails are too grown out. I had to reiterate that she did my nails less than 4 days ago. She proceeds to ask if type, mind you my nails are very short. I let her know that I've been off work the entire week. Very rude and bad customer service. Here it is Sunday and all the nails that were fixed are peeling again. What a total waste of time and money and honestly a business that doesn't appreciate customers. Read Less

Giving the 2 stars to the girls that did my nails and my mothers pedicure Found this place on my way to the mall. Came in and my mother and I explained EXACTLY what we wanted and this lady (who appears to be the owner made it clear that she was able to fulfill our requests. I asked for a manicure and pedicure (regular) $29 (more expensive that I've ever paid but that's ok). My mom needed an fill for her ombré beige and white nails. My manicure and pedicure was the worlds fastest job. Not a complaint, the job was done well. My mother got her pedicure and she was pleased. Moving onto the real issue here. As I stated before my mom needed a fill for ombré beige and white nails, hence beige and white powder is needed. Her nails tech proceeds to fill her nails work a pink powder and after filling 2 nails he asked if it's ok. NOOOOOOO!! Her nails are beige and white ombré, so why would pink be ok as a substitute for the beige that the "owner" claimed that she had. My mom pointed out that her nails were 3 different colors pink, beige, and white, which is NOT what she asked for. So the "owner" lady gets involved and gives and ultimatum of taking all of the acrylic powder off (which will take forever) and then paint over it with the same color that's on her toes OR  let the man finish his botched job and paint over HIS MISTAKE with the same color on her toes. At this point I refuse to pay and then this "owner" says that arguing with her (which i wasn't, never raised my voice, simply pointed out his mistake) will get me no where and then she said if we don't pay then he will not continue HIS BOTCHED job. The tech and the owner refused to take responsibility for the mistake and then offered us to only pay half. Being that I don't want to sit here for another hour for someone else's mistake I agreed to pay half. The money is not the problem, it's the taking accountability for your mistake and try to make it right, is what I have an issue with.The facility is very nice and the staff are friendly for the most part. I went 3 days ago and I went in at 10 and was told to come back at 11 so I came back and they told me I was going to have to wait longer, after 20 minutes later one of the ladies that has been there started doing them.. half way in she stopped and said I have to wait for someone else and told me it was 55$ After they finished they told me it was 50$ and was quick to get rid of me. I've been here 3 times. They have lied about their waiting time. I usually ask because I have kids waiting for me. Today they said 5 min wait and I waited 40min.I was already there and to leave and wait somewhere else I decided to stay. Other nail salons provide free water bottles, not this place. I'm giving 3 stars because of Sam, she's really nice but again it took her forever to do my pedicure. If waiting is not a problem for you then it can work for you. Read Less

Went in for mani and pedi. Service was good and friendly but quality of work was shotty. As soon as they finished painting they put my sanfalse on and sent me on my way. Needless to say my paint job was completely messed up within 30 minutes and no point of going back, since I wasn't happy with it from the beginning. Read Less

I've been here a couple times before and it was great. Not the most friendly, but they did a great job. I came here today to get a new set like I've always done and the lady says itll be a $10 fee just to take off my nails, mind you this few has never been in place before. So I asked why the fee and explained I had never gotten the fee before and the lady got and attitude and said "this is the way it is I'm not going to do it you can wait for someone else" and stormed off. So i left and went to Kiwi Nail on 2nd. So much better, and friendly staff. Ps. She started on my nail and didn't even offer to even all the rest of my nails off.
