It was my 2nd time visiting this place, overall the experience was good. It was relaxing and the service is pretty good as well, they offer free water/mini chocolates, which is rare for such salons. The only thing I was disappointed about was the girl who was doing my manicure, I told her I wanted to keep long nails and not cut them too short but she ignored that and said why do you want to keep long nails and just ended up cutting them short. Otherwise all in all it was good, they even let me stay for a while till my nails dried to make sure it doesn't get ruined :). I wanted to like this place but waaaaaay to expensive for what you get. I've been here twice and the 1st experience was decent but still expensive so I gave it another chance. Moved on to find a more consistent, affordable, clean & decent quality nail shop. Oh & btw they only accept cards with the chip or you have to pay cash. Came here last week, place is cute, seemed clean and they serve drinks and dishes full of candy at each station. My only issue was the fact that when I went to pay the girl said they only take cards with chips??? Luckily I had the exact amount to pay for the pedicure. Sadly though, I wasn't able to leave a tip. Very disappointed. This place is on the higher end price wise and the quality is just not there.  I get my nails done a lot so my expectations are reasonable.  My nail had broken badly and the nail technician said she would use acrylic to fix it.  I said fine because I had done this before, at a different place.  She had NO idea what she was doing.  I ended up with glue, and I mean lots of it, on my finger. My nail was glued to my skin. It was burning and the technician told me that if I washed my hands it would come off.  ????? Really?  Okay- soap and water works to remove super glue and acrylic.  I asked the manager to get someone else to finish my nails.  They tried their best and they were very sweet, but my nail is messed up.  It looks bad and I am going to need to get it fixed at another place.  Btw- the manager only gave me a 10% discount for the error-disappointed-should have been at least 50%. I always get treated exceptionally well here. The complementary drinks and chocolates never hurt. Kathy my nail technician is amazing and does beautiful work every time. What mI like especially about Kathy is if I want a different design that she doesn't feel comfortable in doing herself, she will call over another technician to do  it, I'd rather have another technician do it then have Kathy do it and not feel comfortable. I've been coming her a couple of times for pedis and I haven't had a problem. This time I decided to get a gel manicure/pedi. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I wish I got their names, but the ladies who did my manicure/pedicure were mediocre at best. The pedicure was meh. She barely scrubbed my feet, when I asked her to do something she rolled her eyes and didn't listen. When I got home and looked at my toenails, the nail polish was clumpy and uneven. My "gel manicure" what a joke. She cured my nails but it didn't even make it past 2 days. They were chipping so badly one of them broke. This place is definetly overpriced!  You have to upgrade to a 40$ pedi to even get "light massage"  Generally the upgraded service is no different than a 25/30$ pedicure down the street. Be aware, no massage chairs, simple bench and foot tub, no jets in the tubs.  I knew this going in but expected some spectacular customer service/pedicure at this price point.  As for the reception... all I can say is Wow! Terrible!  My friend and I pre booked appointments to have dual pedi's.  We were seated to begin and the girl assigned to my friend just gets set up and started then jumps up to help another client that came in after us.  Maybe reception overbooked?  That would be fine, however there was zero acknowledgment from the 2 reception girls (who claimed to be assistant managers) who were too busy on the internet and their phones etc.  My friend didn't even get started until I was nearly completed.  Mind you, there was no one waiting, not busy at all really but these two couldn't manage thier way out of a paper bag.To sum it up, get some better reception!  The ladies performing the service are fine but I wouldn't say any more highly skilled than any other random nail spot.The complementary beverage is nice but that doesn't make up for the price spike or the lack of customer service.  Neither does the ridiculous locked display of Louboutin nail polish that is purely to make you think your at a really high class spa and getting your money's worth.Also, the music is way too loud. First time as a client and I came as a walk in appointment. Thursday afternoon and there was no wait so I was sat immediately. Yvonne took care of me, she offered a complimentary beverage and did an amazing job on my nails. She made sure each nail was symmetrical and was very gentle, (what I appreciate) I had a full set, short, cuticle care, and gel polish for $62. Love this nail salon! They have such great colors and variety! The shop is clean and bright and the people are pretty nice. The only reason I didn't give the Five stars is because they have the proper equipment for ventilation when doing acrylics and sanding, but I haven't seen them use it. Also I have gotten cut here, a couple times to the point of bleeding and having to stop the nail technician and get a paper towel to stop the blood. Read Less

This place is awesome! I came in because I had a bad experience at another salon, and everyone in here was so helpful from the moment I walked in. I was getting my nails done for my wedding so I wanted to make sure I had the perfect color. The ladies went above and beyond to help me find the best match. I come to Cali frequently & love trying new places for my nails. I originally had acrylic dip nails on my hands and a gel pedi coming into the nail salon. I waited 3 weeks to do my nails here in California because whenever I do get my nails done in here it's half the price & better quality than if I were to get it done in Vegas. Coming into FUMA I was under the impression that it would be just like I planned, half the price & better quality.That was not the case. This place is very pretty but the pricing & quality is not there. I paid $102 for a acrylic removal, manicure add gel polish, deluxe pedicure add gel polish. Regularly a gel mani ranges from $30-$35 and if I'm not mistaken same goes with a gel pedi. This is WAY too OVER PRICED. I've added a picture of my receipt as well as a picture of my gel manicure, as you can see with the gel manicure I still had excess gel on my skin still. There are so many spectacular places to go with cheaper prices & better quality to go to than FUMA. Please save yourself some money and go somewhere other than here. Highly disappointed. Read Less

I've been coming here for at least a year. It was my favorite nail salon and I was so happy that I finally found not only a nail salon but a nail technician that did excellent work. Then it all took a turn for the worst...A little backstory:This salon is somewhat on the pricier side but for the quality of work and service, color options, and cleanliness, i felt that the fees were worth it. The first time i came here i knew this wasn't your average shopping center nail salon. I was very impressed...even though they had no massage chairs. I had my favorite technician that i'd see and she consistently did great work. I never had any complaints, she was awesome! Her name is yvonne and i miss her very much. Fast forward to my last two visits:First, i was told yvonne resigned, the last time i saw her she told me she would be on vacation.  You can imagine my disappointment when i found out but granted I don't know what happened and the salon probably had no control over that. So i'll move on. They have some new technicians and while they're pleasant they're not the greatest (in terms of their work) in two visits i've had 4 different technicians work on my toes and nails and the quality is sub par.  Not only that i feel like now they're a little more pushy at trying to sell you extras, girl i know what you sell and I don't need the callus removal, I don't need a design. I have pinterest and chances are I've already researched and know exactly what i want. I mean i could pay way less somewhere else and get the same quality of work. Which brings me to my next point...They raised their prices!!! And not by a little, maybe like $4-$5 dollar difference in some services. And while in the beginning of the review i mentioned their cleanliness and color options that's just something they're supposed to do...many don't, but that's why I don't go to those places. However if the quality of work has diminished, the technicians are not what they used to be and the prices are raised it's time for me to move on. They added two nail artists that do all kinds of cool designs but I don't need all that. I just need classic gel and good quality work. My second visit was the straw that broke the camel's back. Yvonne used to do my silk wrap nails and now that she's not here and I'm pregnant i wanted them removed. The tech didn't remove them she filed them down and said she didn't want to risk my nails breaking because they'd be thin which didn't make sense because they just add layers of silk and glue and never grind down your actual nails but whatever i'm not a nail technician and i got to keep the length a while longer so whatever but they still charged me $10 to remove them! My regular gel mani and express pedi cost more than when i got silk wrap gel and an express pedi and the massage they gave me afterwards hurt on my arms and feet. Waaaay too much pressure on the massages. I'm definitely moving on. So sad because I really liked this place. Maybe i'll be back one more time and give another chance or at least until i find another place but i think the FÜMA era is coming to a close. My coworker who introduced me to the place has also moved on so i'll have to find out where her new salon is if she's found one. Read Less

First time experience was great. Sadly, every time after that not so much. I have been getting acrylic nails for 10 years and all of a sudden I got bad allergic reactions to the products they use. Then I was told to switch to gel formed nails because they have no other type of acrylic to use. When I went in to get it done, it was burning the whole time they were doing it. Then I was over charged by $20. When I saw the receipt I called them to complain. They told me the owner or manager will call me and of course no one called. To top it off two nails lifted and broke off after 2 days. I paid $130 (not including tip) for a gel set and pedicure and was left with horrible looking nails on my hand. When I got my nails done elsewhere they would last 3 weeks with no issues. I really wanted to like this place since it was on my way home from work, but it didn't work out. If i was going just for a pedicure it would be fine, but I need my hands done too. Read Less

After my first visit to this nail bar, I can already tell I'm going to be a faithful customer. It's very hard to find a good nail salon with good nail technicians that actually care about the quality of their work. I've tried several other nail salons in the area and none can quite compare to Fuma. The ambiance of the bar is very classy, bright and inviting. You instantly feel comfortable when walking through the door. The front desk clerks are very polite and professional and so is the staff. As a customer, you're offered chocolate and refreshments for free which adds to a relaxing treatment. The bar is clean and they use sterilized tools, they also have a huge selection of gel colors with polish to match for a mani/pedi.  Wendy did a great job on my pedicure. She took her time and made sure my results were perfect. Yvonne did an outstanding job on my manicure! I'm so pleased. She did not rush and shaped my nails so nicely. The cost is a pretty penny. This place is good, clean & friendly. It's has a nice positive vibe. But It's pretty pricey, & they're not great at doing designs. Your nails will look great, but if you're a designs person, this might not be the place for you. I do love they they give law enforcement a discount though. Read Less

Emily is AWESOME! I've had a terrible nail biting habit since I probably first learned to talk. She took her time with me and made sure I was comfortable with the style, design, and service. I noticed and very much appreciate her attention to detail! She is in other words a perfectionist! She made me feel special and beautiful again!
