I found my new favorite place.... I live in Downtown, San Diego but I had to travel to el cajon to go to the car dealership, and figured i'd get my nails done since I had an hour wait for my car. Sandy did my acrylics  and now, they're literally the best nails I've ever had in my life!!! Soooo I guess I'm driving 30 minutes from now on to come out here for my fills with Sandy! Not only is the finished product perfection, but everyone there is friendly and conversational, which is really refreshing. It's nice to be able to talk and have conversations with your technician so you can establish trust and know for a fact that they understand what look you want to achieve. I went in this morning around 10 because my grandmother gave me a gift card for my birthday had n appointment to get acrylic nails and was taken in right away but it took her an hour and a half to do my nails while she was doing my nails she was talking to everyone around and rather distracted and ended up nicking 6 out of me 10 fingers I asked her to please be a bit more careful because she was cutting me she said sorry the first time and I was polite n was nice the whole time even after she kept cutting me so When I went home and went to go see my grandmother later on and she asked how it was after explain she was upset and called to which the manager then told her it was MY FAULT or that I was aggressive and assumed I was lying Read Less

Nails done by Ly! I highly recommend making an appointment ahead of time. I showed her a couple nail pics I found online then showed her a picture of a formal dress I plan on wearing. She helped me pick out the perfect Ombré gold/silver to white. 614 Nail Bar is my FAVORITE place to go too. I have been going there for months now and walk out loving my nails each and every time. Linh is absolutely amazing and she really cares about her clients wishes! (Everyone there is fantastic though). Confession time: I've been coming here for YEARS and keep procrastinating on writing a review.When I first came here, the first thing I noticed was how clean and bright the place is! It's a welcoming, nice environment from the get-go.I had gotten my nails done elsewhere, and had liked what I got, but Sandy blew my mom and I away on our first visit. She's gentle, incredibly talented, and didn't seem the least upset by my silly Pinterest - fueled requests.Since then, we've been coming back every 3 - 4 weeks like clockwork for our fills and we've NEVER been disappointed. Used to go here every 2 weeks for acrylics over a year ago. Started going to a salon closer to work but decided to go here after work tonight. The pedicurist was rude and openly made fun of my feet (I've seen WAY worse btw). Then I went to pay and they told me the card reader was closed (without warning) and that my pedicurist said i would pay cash so I must pay cash. Having only $2 on me, this was impossible. The owner way VERY rude about having to turn it back on. They also changed it so you cannot tip on a card (this is posted NOWHERE) and acted insulted that I gave them a $2 tip. I have been getting my nails done for 25+ years. And I have never had the treatment, satisfaction and a welcoming as I have with 614!!!! I absolutely love everything about this place especially the staff! They are so warm and welcoming. When I go in for relaxation with my nails I always have a great time here. My first time back in 5 years and a lot has changed. I treated my mom and myself to a mani and pedi here today , they had plenty options for gel, powder, and polish.  I forgot to get my nail girls name but she said she usually does eye lash extensions here at Crystals but was here to help the busy rush at 11:30AM on Saturday. I'm glad she did, she was very pleasant to talk to, i really enjoyed her company. Typically I'm on my phone or just lookin around while getting my nails done.  She was such a sweetie and genuinely interested in her customers. After our manicure we moved to the pedi chairs which were newer and comfortable, we got a complimentary glass of champagne. The champagne was a great surprise and went along great with the beach Muriel painted in the walls and ceiling. Our experience was amazing. My mother and I will definitely be returning. Read Less

When I first started going there the service was great but as I have been going there for a couple of months now their quality has went down. They rush with customers trying to keep the chairs filled and the service is not as impressive as it once was. I recently got my nails done about a week ago and they are already starting to lift. I will not be bringing my hard earned money back. Word of advise take your time when working on a customer and attention to detail is key. Read Less

I went here for my birthday a few years ago.  Before I had been to other nail places in town.  Prices are shocking and this was one of the least friendly experiences via nail salons Ive had here in Cali.  Great nails, until the owner sat down and redid my toes.  Just...had a much better experience at unique nails. My friend Savannah & I were in need of a pedicure we decided to check this salon out due to it being close to her home. My first impression of the salon was how big and open it was. They had plenty of spa pedicure chairs and the salon was very clean. The receptionist was a young teen girl who had poor customer service skills. She asked if we had an appointment and we said no.. she then stayed quiet. I asked do we need one? and she said no then I asked well can we have two pedicure chairs please and she okay wait 10mins and pick a color. They had a wide variety of gel colors like at least 6 racks I guess you can say full of colors of all kinds. They had a great selection of regular nail polish they had brands like OPI & Essie displayed. My friend & I waited less than 10mins for our pedis. They had liners that covered the tub of the pedicure spa chair which i thought was a plus because most salons don't offer that. We both sat down and the nail technician gave us a menu to upgrade from the basic pedicure($20). We both asked for the European pedicure($34) which included a callus mask remover, a sugar scrub, a mint mask, & a massage with a hot stone. The whole experience was amazing they took their time massaging my legs and just overall took their time we probably spent an hour getting our nails done. Did I mention the service came with a complementary mimosa?! Pretty great deal! Overall, I would come again. This salon is pretty pricey but worth the money because you get what you pay for. Great selection of colors and tons of space. The reason I'm only giving it 3 stars is because their customer service skills can use a little help. Come to this salon If you want to treat yourself! I have been coming here for about five years now. They will absolutely stand by their work, if you have an issue, they will take care of it. I'm very picky about my nails and they look fantastic all the time! I highly recommend making an appointment with a preferred manicurist. Sandi, Danny and Twan are absolutely amazing and can do any shape at any length. I take my daughter here and my mom goes here too.  Friendly service, friendly staff, friendly environment. At times I've have had to wait but that happens in the industry and don't consider it an issue. These guys do a great job, and my family and I enjoy coming here. I used to go here all the time for my nails.... But yesterday will be the last time I go here. I had been growing out my nails for the past two months, so that I could have the acrylic on my actual thumb and pinky. The lady I had decided to sand down my perfectly good nails just to put a fake nail back on them. And when I asked her to add more of the powder to my thumb, she looked at me like I insulted her. Unprofessional, unclean tools, scheduling issues observed, no English speaking manicurists, drilled my nail bed ruining my nails causing splitting, peeling, and breaks. I objected to manicurist drilling on my natural nails and she got up and took a new walk-in pedicure. I walked out! Acrylics peeled off, gels peeled off, I will never be back! 3rd time too many! Started going here a couple months ago. I am very particular about my acrylic nails. I want a certain shape and I like them long so I need good quality so they don't break. This place does it! I see Lee when I go in. She knows how I like them and she makes great suggestions. The spa is very clean and everyone is friendly and eager to please. Love my Crystal's Nails. I have been a client off and on for over 10 years. I have the best service and have become good friends with them. I have had Tori, Sandy and Jason all do my nails and I leave happy every time. I have never gone anywhere else and I never will. They are awful at waxing eyebrows. I went in after growing my eyebrows out for the last two months. She completely took off one of my Eyebrows and the other one is like a fat uneven one. They are completely uneven and ridicolous looking. I have to go to an important event and I have one fat weird eyebrow and one that is like a thin line.
