Annoying...how they try to  aggressively upsell you on different treatments. Husband went in for nail-cutting, and his cuticle area got infected. We started out to pay in cash, and they got really crazed. Yes, yes, pay cash! Thought that was strange and paid with a Credit-card instead. Nice associates, but we'll go elsewhere. Samantha is who I go to to get my nails done and she ALWAYS does an amazing job! Whether I want acrylics or a gel mani, she never fails at making my nails look beautiful :) The other staff is very friendly just like Samantha is and it's very clean and organized in the salon.  This is how all salons should be, but you can definitely see that they keep up with the cleanliness here. This nail salon has been totally renovated. New chairs, new restroom, new environment. It's super nice. And they even have a designated receptionist which makes life so much easier when making appointments! Love it. I have been going to Samantha for over 12 years to have my nails done at the Irvine Spectrum location. With their recent move and the parking situation I thought I would give the Laguna Hills location a try since it is under new management and Samantha is there part time  The parking was great, the salon was clean and the staff was very friendly. I know some of the prior Yelp reviews were not that great due to the previous management but, I say give the new management a try! Read Less

This place is within walking distance from my office which is why i chose it. Had a mani/pedi. The lady's were all very nice. I paid for the upgraded service and decided to get a 20 min arm and leg massage. It was great, I thought they both did a great job. They put me to sleep! LOL  My only complaint is the price. I agree it's a bit steep compared to other salons in the area. But because of location to my office, I will be going back. Read Less

I should have known when i walked in the door on a Sunday and there where only 2 people getting their nails done that I should have just turned around and left. I got the worst gel manicure I have ever had in my life and I have been getting them for years. SO SLOPPY. From the removal of my old gel polish, she literately had all four fingers, from the knuckles up, in one big wrapped mess like a mitt and the remover was poured all over the dang place including on the back of my whole hand!The cutting of the cuticles...DID SHE even do that? I DON'T KNOW!? The filing....Oh my gosh, it's SO uneven! She was in such a hurry, like there was a line or something. Come on lady NO ONE ELSE WAS WAITING FOR YOU!  So much for the word "spa" in the name of the place, right?The girl next to me was getting a regular paint color change and they didn't even have a dryer. Come on already! And instead of having music playing they kept having the TV bounce back to The Ellen Show & a movie.I just happened to be driving by and that's why i went in. never again. This place is great. It's under new management, and then new manager Juile is awesome. This place is SUPER CLEAN. My manicurist was very skilled. I came in late and was worried that they'd rush, but they took they're time and did a great job. I have been coming here for 15 years, but today the salon look the best ever, however the service here has been fantastic. Come see for yourself. Read Less

Most lousy job ever. These women had no idea I was Vietnamese. They were talking trash about us until I paid with my credit card and the saw my name on the card. I can do a much better job cutting my own nails. What a waste of time and money. Will never come back here. Read Less

Terrible work! I left there feeling extremely upset. There polish seems to be old. This is the second time I have tried this happy nails because they are so close to my home. I will drive to foothill Ranch for now on. They had no one there to interpret what I was saying. My gel polish change is completely uneven and sloppy around my cuticles. My pedicure polish is all over my skin. Her excuse to me was because I did not get a full manicure it was not going to look pretty! I do not recommend anyone coming to this happy nails. Not worth the price, I'm from a small town in Texas and I get a better quality of service there. I went in for a mani full set and a pedi. I kept telling the lady applying my tips that I wanted an american tip she would say okay okay then she pulled out the natural color tips I top her I want the pearl looking tips she said okay but continued with the natural ones. I asked her if she had the pearl colored tips she said they have all colors and continued. I told her again I want the pearl tips and she went on gluing the natural colored ones on smh. After she moved to my other hand another Lady came to do the acrylic/gel. That lady was asking what colors I wanted but I kept telling here I didn't want any colors she kept insisting on a color which would have been an extra cost and I refused because if it had been done like I requested I wouldn't need color. Anyway a few of my nails were cut/filed down at an angle and she didn't understand when I kept telling her, she was feeling for imperfections like burrs or something then on the other hand one nail had an imperfection that she noticed and kept feeling but she didn't correct it she kept lightly going over it with the file but not the electric one which was needed she stopped fooling with it and finished the rest. The pedi was good except.... when I walked back over to the hotel I noticed the polish was still we so my toes were ruined! I went back the next night the young lady gladly repolished them and and went and sat with the other ladies while they dried never coming to check on them they still weren't dry after over 20 mins. The salon I'm used to going to has a drying table for hands and feet and they pay more attention to detail, this place does not. The pedicure lady was very friendly and the massage chairs were nice but if I came back to the area I'd find another place I was staying at the Ayres Hotel and felt it was convenient and thought the quality would be better due to the area but I was sadly mistaken.
