I'm so confused by this nail salon. Like what is going on? First of all, they are severely understaffed, so much so that a lady just up and left in the middle of her service since it was taking way too long to get a manicure. There were two nail techs working so I guess this salon is never busy? The lady that worked on my nails was nice but came across as though she wasn't experienced. Somehow I paid $55 for a pedicure and callus remover was not included?  Wait what?!? The entire pedicure from start to finish seemed so half-assed and not as described in the "Jelly" nail service. Water was lukewarm. Environment was so awkward. The owners kept fiddling with their dumb TV on the wall and with no music was playing at all, it was so weird. The service was OK I guess but I would not return. It was so overpriced for what it was. It felt like an awkward dinner date that you wouldn't want to be on and I wanted it to end so badly! I absolutely love my mani-pedi. I got exceptional service here today. The salon's new staff truly cares about their customers in a way that most nail salons these days don't. I didn't like the color of my nails at first and they were more than happy to change it for me until I was 100% happy. I especially loved how the salon greeted all customers with their beverage of choice from a wide range and selection of coffee, teas,.. as well as chocolates and baked goodies. This place was okay. 3 Stars for the following:Atmosphere: Not my favorite. Came here on a Sunday and it did not have any aesthetic what-so-ever. Felt very sterile and there was no music playing which made me feel a little tense. It also appeared a little uncleanly (in my option).Service: The woman who did my nails was okay. I was satisfied with the final shape / color. A gel manicure took a little over an hour to complete.Price: $30 for a gel manicure. Thought this was fair. Other: There was a decent amount of color options. However, the first 4 shades I looked at had a X on them (meaning they didn't have it). So I ended up choosing a generic nude. Also, if something happens to your nails within X amount of days, you can go back with your receipt and they'll fix it free of cost. Came here for a gel mani + pedi. My nails looked cute right after but within a couple days bubbles formed on the top coat. After a week the top coat changed color and my nails look dirty now. Walked in on a Saturday around 3 for a full set acrylic. Walked in and was greeted with "we're busy" not asking what i wanted to get done or a hello.. The rest of the short conversation i was never even looked at by the lady that was talking to me. I asked how long do they think. She said "come back" okay.. when should I come back? An hour or two? The worst manicure I've ever had. I had to wait 30 minutes for service, and then it took them an hour to take off my acrylics, something that should not take longer than 25 min at a regular salon. Also, they kept switching the ladies who were doing my nails. The finished product of my "new" manicure looked worse than anything I could've done as a 12 year old... won't be back, ever. Read Less

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I wanted something special for my wedding. We found this place had amazing reviews. The only reason it had great reviews is that if you do that on Yelp, they give you a discount when you show the yelp review. We waited an hour to be helped then 2 more hours for the nails to be done!!!!! While there a girl came in that they had stabbed her toe, had to go to urgent care and she got an infection! I also showed her a photo of what I wanted and the lady said she could do it. Then she started the design and told me she didn't have the small diamonds I had shown her and it didn't even look close to the picture. I'm sad! And it was SO expensive! Way more than I've paid! Very nice lady, but not the best work I've had on my nails.  Asked for ombre effect and got a dripping water effect instead.  Nonexistent arm massage because the manager told her she had to work on another client that was waiting,  so I got the shaft.  Won't come here again,  unfortunately.  I'll stick to Zen. This is by far the best salon I have been to in the OC. The staff were incredibly patient with my young nieces. They took the care that they would with their own relatives. The icing on the cake is the fact that they do not use chemicals in the polishes and the place is SPOTLESS!!! I recommend this place...hands down!!! Read Less

So glad I found an awesome nail place! My daughter and I used to get our nails done every Sunday before we moved to OC. Now we can continue our girly days again! The first time I came in, it was pretty good. When I came back, I was shocked that the girl doing my nails couldn't file. She kept going back and forth creating a jagged, crooked nail. I usually keep my nails long and slightly pointy, ended up having to cut them down below the tip of my fingers to fix what she did. I said I would pay for her filing my nails, but left without letting her do my gel manicure because I was so frustrated, and she agreed saying "yes, I think you should go". I was around the area looking for a nail salon and found nail story on yelp... I called to ask if they had any opening... it was on a Monday afternoon I went in they were able to take me right away... the spa was quite empty considering it was a Monday..... the lady at the reception was very nice as well not sure if she was the owner... JENNY did my pedicure she did a very good job.. this was the only place that actually took their time to do the service right.. Enas and her team are wonderful :)! I live in LA but was in the area for work. Called late in the evening for a last minute mani/pedi. They welcomed me in with smiles and accommodated my requests. They offered beverages, options and the owner kept checking in to make sure all services were going well. Working in customer service for 10+ years we talked about how important client services and attention really are....Enas goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and take care of your resquests.My gel mani looks amazing and pedi in baby pink is exactly how I wanted it..My advice.. If you don't like the polish say something, if you want a redo ask for it, if your upset talk to the business about it...like an adult. Started going where when they first opened. About a month ago I had an appointment on a Saturday that I had made two weeks prior at my last visit. I called in the middle of the week to add an additionalPedicure for someone else . Went in on Saturday and they told the person who was suppose toDo my acrylics was on vacation!!!!!!! YouDon't scheduleVacations the last minute . They had plenty of time to call me and change my appointment .  This wasn't the first bad experience I had but for some reason I kept going back . When I went to Nail Story, I walked in & was looking over their service menu. It's overwhelming as there are several services & many seemed similar. While looking over the menu, the lady behind the counter didn't bother to look up or say hello. I finally asked for help & that's when she asked what kind of service I was looking for. I went in for a pedicure & chose a package that included a pedicure & foot/leg massage. The lady who did my pedicure didn't give me a massage at all. She just rubbed lotion on my legs & didn't apply any pressure at all. It was disappointing considering I paid for the massage & I was looking forward to it. The polish selection isn't great but I did find a shade of red that I liked. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed my toenails were not cut evenly. My left toenail was shorter than the right & the right toenail was cut crooked.I checked-in via Yelp for the 10% discount which wasn't really a 10% as they advertise. The owner said there's a max discount value of $3 so my pedicure total was $51. On top of that, they only want a cash tip. I usually don't carry cash but I did that day so I was able to tip. There was a customer who paid for her mani/pedi & the lady asked her to go to the bank to get the cash for the tip. The customer said she would get cash but never came back. I'm sure that happens often. They should just accept a credit card tip so the ladies get their tips! Read Less

I've come here about 4 times and was always happy until today. I literally got the worst manicure I have ever had. My nails were very long and I asked that hey be shaped round. She cut all my nails super short. I couldn't believe it. Then she filed then and they were all crooked. Then the paint job was bad too. Some of my nail didn't get paint at all, and the paint dried with drop marks on it. The owner offered to re-paint them but by that point I had to leave I couldn't stay because the manicurist was really slow to begin with. So the owner then gave me 15% off my next visit ($5 off a regular mani/pedi package), hardly enough to make up for the time Ian's money I spent today just to have crappy looking nails. I thought getting your nails done was suppose to be a nice relaxing treat. This place is more awkward and stressful than any nail salon I've been to. The lady doing my toes did a good job but the lady that did my nails completely botched my cuticles and did the most terrible paint job ever. They also have the poorest selection of nail polish which are all old and dry. The one I picked was running out and they added a ton of nail polish remover to it. When I got home my nails were still not dry and it was so poorly done I had to take it off. Now that it's off I see how terribly she cut my cuticles and since they sand your nails (which you shouldn't do) I have scratched up looking nails. If you want to leave with your nails looking worse, then this is the place to go. Read Less

On a whim, I wanted to treat my mom to a relaxing spa pedicure and foot massage. They were super busy and we were asked to come back in 20 minutes. The owner was very sweet and gracious offered us a complimentary beverage while we waited. We picked out colors and chatted with her - so nice. The technicians were so sweet - making sure my mom was comfortable & both did a fabulous job on our toes. Opted for the Happily Ever After Spa Pedicure this time... It was OVER THE TOP good! Went here for the second time today and again I regret it. Service is awful. The lady who did my pedicure was rough, not very friendly and hurt me several times, even though I asked her not to be so rough. Instead of asking me to put my feet in the water, she forcefully pushed my feet in it. She cut my skin so that it was bleeding. Just awful. The front desk person was also not very friendly and welcoming. AND it is completely overpriced. I will not return here and do not recommend this place.Read Less
